We hiked during the afternoon tour and it was absolutely amazing!! The guides are so friendly as well! But the views were absolutely stunning! I highly suggest hiking during the afternoon, as you will be able to see the sunset and it is AMAZING!

I had a great 2.5 hours with Luis exploring Antigua Guatemala. He was very knowledgeable and tolerant of all my questions. We had a group of five people in total, which was a nice number. The only change I would make is to include a sit down visit to one of the many cafes and restaurants recommended to recharge a bit around half way. Overall, a very good investment. I’d highly recommend it!

Great communication with them before the trip. The bus was on time and driver was reliable. Nice guides also, making sure that everyone was happy and climbing at their own pace. I would recommend it

We utilized Due South Travels to drive us from Guatemala City to Antigua and return in February 2024. When we returned to Guatemala this December we were driven from Guatemala City to Lake Atitlán. We had a wonderful experience. The drivers were excellent and the process to secure their services through Val, the owner of the company, was simple. The drivers were on time, respectful and very knowledgeable. When we return to Guatemala we will definitely reach out to Val and her team to secure her services. Shuttle from Antigua to El Paredon said it would be max 2 hours - our ride was from 9:00AM to 1:45PM. Significantly longer than was advertised. The driver did stop for 1 bathroom break.

Good option to get to/from the airpot. No frills, but have no complaints. Was satisfied with the service! Easy to reach the operator if you have any questions or concerns.

We booked this shuttle a few days before we needed a ride from Antigua to Panajachel. This was super affordable, easy to coordinate, and the shuttle picked us up right on time. It was a safe & easy ride to Lake Atitlan.

We used Due South to book shared shuttles to and from Lake Atitlán and Antigua. We also used them for a walking tour in Antigua. They were awesome! Affordable, reliable, good guides/drivers. On time. Also, we had a shuttle and walking tour during the festival of flowers in Antigua- initially did not know this was happening and they were able to change the walking tour to an earlier time for us and we had to change location of pick up for the shuttle and they were so great at communicating with us through WhatsApp!! And, it made it so easy and stress free! So, if any questions, do not hesitate to contact them with questions via WhatsApp! Oh, and our walking tour guide Luis, was great too!! He had the challenge of doing this during the festival of flowers and was so great! If we go back we will definitely use Due South again!

Waited an hour for the bus. Then needed to change to the actual bus. As those busses have foldedable middle seats we were unfortunate the one who needed to seat on those without any back seat. No fillings anymore in the seat cushions. Terrible !! If you let people pay a couple of euros extra you don’t even have to fill those seats … and everyone has a better journey .. fully packed with Dutch legs this is a nightmare

There was a festival so the streets were busy. They came and found us and paid the tuk tuk to take us to the small bus. They do fill the bus so don’t expect much elbow room. If you don’t like bumping elbows take a private car. But we met and spoke with some cool fellow travelers and enjoyed the ride. Felt pretty safe as rides go here. Dropped us where we indicated. Overall a good experience as catching a ride goes.

1/5. Between them threatening to leave us at our hotel 10 minutes before our pickup time, yelling profanity at us, and making us walk blocks to find them, this was an extremely stressful experience.

I booked a number of tours with Due South in Guatemala, including Tikal, Antigua Market, Iximche, Guatemala City tour, and it would definitely do it again next time I'm there. I have been on many tours with Valerie and Due South in Guatemala, and have never had anything but exceptional service. This high standard continued on Due South’s first international tour to Peru. It was absolutely magnificent. Valerie used her extensive contacts to get a local operator planning us all the best activities with the best guides. Seriously, our guide at Machu Picchu has published a book on the ruins - you can’t get much more expertise than that! Every day was full of fun cultural activities viewing the sights as well as more hands-on activities like cooking classes and horseback riding. We had fun and we learned all kinds of interesting information without it ever feeling like learning. Highlights (aside from the Main Attraction - I’ve been looking forward to Machu Picchu for 30 years and it was still absolutely magical) included: walking tours in Lima and Cusco, visiting a women’s cooperative to learn about traditional weaving and dying methods (and to buy their wares), visiting the strangest salt mine I’ve ever seen, snuggling with baby alpacas, visiting an organic farm to learn about ancient farming practices still in use, and the train to Machu Picchu which was an experience all by itself! Valerie and her partner Matt also saved me from near disaster when I left my passport on said train, and by pooling their resources and contacts to get my passport back to me the next day (when I was in too much of a panic to be of much use). I am forever grateful and can’t recommend Due South enough. Valerie lives for what she does and it’s clear in every travel experience I go on with her. I can’t recommend enough.

We loved our walking tour as we were only two people and we got extra attention. Luis was a great guide who clearly loved his City.

Prompt pickup, no issues. Clean van/shuttle. Very nice driver. Picked me up outside of my hostel; there were two other passengers already on board.
