      Worst tour guide
I don't like giving bad reviews. We did not have a good experience with our tour guide. We did not learn anything about Antigua at all. I have been on many walking tours, and this was by far the worst I have ever had. Many times, he read the signage out loud to us rather than telling us more information that we couldn’t read on our own. He would suddenly stop while explaining and not come back to it at all. He just read what was on the board.

      Learning Day
Our group of friends had the immense pleasure of having Felix as our tour guide and we highly recommend him. We were very happy with the experiences and all the information Felix shared with us, he is very knowledgeable about the history of his country from Mayan history, colonization and modern history. Felix was always in a very good mood and made us feel safe while we were with him. We were lucky to have him as our guide on another tour we did. We hope to meet Felix again during our next visit to Guatemala and have recommend him to our friends living in Guatemala to contact him when they have other friends visiting with the desire to be adventurous. Thank you so much for a great visit.

      Basic Walking Tour in Antigua
Covered some highlights in the central historic district of Antigua. Guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. It was a little slow and heavy on details. A lot of standing in one place vs walking which believe it or not is more tiring. Would have liked more personal observations and color commentary mixed with facts to keep it interesting. But overall - I always like a city walking historic tour to get the lay of the land!

Not worth the expense or time
Unfortunately, our experience was much different than the previous recent reviews. I chose this specific company based on the experiences of others and the high rating here, but it seems we had a different tour guide, possibly someone new? He worked very hard, but the communication was sometimes difficult. I’d save your money and time, or be sure that you are aware of your guide beforehand. We take a walking city tour in every place we go, and this one was unfortunately a miss. Good: communication with the actual company was easy and quick- they were able to accommodate us for the next day. Group size was small (3 people), there were clean restroom breaks along the tour. Bad: Fluency was lacking, questions couldn’t be answered, some information was not easily understood. The jade museum is just a different person reading off a poster and then walking you to a gift shop.

      5 and 8 yo had a blast!
Felix took me and my 5yo and 8 yo on a 3 hour tour of Antigua. He went at our pace and modified the tour to fit their energy levels. We had a blast and the kids loved Felix. It was a great blend of history and other fun facts. I'm sure he can give deep dive history tours but I love that he also engaged the kids and met them at their level. He must have answered 500 questions from "where is the potty" to "who were the Moores" all with a smile on his face:) In my daughter's words " best tour guide ever!"

      Cultural tour with local context
Erwin did a great job filling the tour with cultural context, which was a nice change from just spewing facts at us. His information was super interesting, and he seemed to have a great connection with all the places we visited. The jade museum was a highlight!

      Great afternoon in Antigua.
Erwin was amazing. He taught us a great deal of the buildings and culture of Guatemala. He has a great passion for Guatemala and it showed in his energy. He took his time with us and switched back/forth between English and Spanish as our family spoke both. Very fun afternoon exploring Antigua.

A Wonderful Walk Through Time In Antigua Guatemala
Our guides name was Irwin. He did an amazing job. Luckily it was a small group so we were able to ask a lot of questions and he had all the answers. He took us on a terrific route through the town and learned so much of the towns' history and culture. If you do take this tour, be sure and ask for Irwin by name.

      Outstanding Day
My husband and I and two sisters had a wonderful day with Erwin Rivas, a phenomenal guide. He provided an engaging history about Antigua, Guatemala, coffee, weaving, agriculture—you name it! He answered all questions and was always interesting. We went to a coffee plantstion, a macadamian nut plantation and a weaving studio and museum of an outstanding weaver. A great tour! We highly recommend him and the company.

My dad and I really enjoyed our visit to Iximche and Tecpan. Erwin picked us up from our hotel in the morning and throughout the drive, telling us about Guatemala on the drive to the ruins. He was very attentive and it ensured that we enjoyed the entire day, including the drive.

The ruins themselves were amazing, and the guided tour was very interesting. They are definitely worth visiting during a trip to Guatemala. We then visited the local village of Tecpan before having lunch and returning.

Great day, would recommend the company!

This was the highlight of our visit to Guatemala. Erwin and his team were extremely attentive, polite and professional, always making sure we were comfortable and enjoying the tour. We loved the Mayan Ruins of Iximche and we also enjoyed our time at lake Atitlan. I recommend this company hands down.

My wife and I had pre-booked this tour before we arrived in Guatemala. We were due to be picked up from our hotel at 8 am. No one came to pick us up so I headed up to reception and they called the tour operator. We were assured that our driver would collect us soon. He eventually turned up at about 8.25 am. There were only the two of us on the tour, so we were taken to the site by car. Our driver had limited English and so it was difficult to obtain much information on the journey. Our driver seemed to be travelling rather faster than the posted speed limits. We reached Iximche and we were introduced to our guide, Balam. Again there were just the two of us for this part of the excursion. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the various plazas within the park, and he explained in detail about what happened in each area. We were able to witness a fire ceremony taking place. After 45 minutes he left us and we were able to wander the site and the tiny on-site museum at our leisure. We were there for about 2 hours in total. We were then driven back to our hotel in Antigua – again there was very little input on the part of our driver.
My wife and I paid over £150 for this excursion and we consider it to be poor value for money. The entrance to the site is just 50 Quetzales - around £5 per person. As such, it proved to be a very expensive ride to the site.
