        Amazing and authentic experience
I absolutely loved the Temazcal. Raquel, is such a sweet woman and her and her whole family made this an unforgetable experience. After the Temazcal you get an authentic Guatemalan dinner which was super delicious. Can absolutely recommend to anyone who wants to support local families and get to know their culture.

        A new core memory made!
This was an indescribably profound experience. Alex is a warm and friendly guide and a deeply gifted shaman. We were absolutely blown away and incredibly grateful to experience this beautiful and intense ceremony in a such a sacred place, and to be guided by Alex. He went above and beyond to make the entire experience unique and memorable for us and we will never forget it. Thank you, Alex! We definitely hope to visit Guatemala and see you again soon!

        Absolutely beautiful experience
What an incredible and beautiful experience! Alex the shaman, I am so pleased to have met such a beautiful soul and feel so lucky that he has extended this to outsiders of the local community. Thank you Alex!

        Thank you!!
Kayak Guatemala was so organized from start to finish. We were arriving for the day from Antigua and they had pickups and drop offs ready for us. We enjoyed kayaking and hiking with our guide Mario, who was so enthusiastic about his home town Santa Cruz and took great care of us! Lee and his wife (owners of Kayak Guatemala) were very kind and hospitable as well.

        Highly Recommended
I would give more than five stars if possible. A meaningfully spiritual and educational trip with beautiful scenery. An authentic experience amidst the new agey pseudo-spiritualism around Lake Atitlan. The guide, Alex, was personable and informative. A wonderful way to explore Mayan culture.

Lake Atitlan, kayaking, hiking, and sightseeing experience with Edvin
Edvin, our guide was fantastic. His English was very good explaining Mayan Culture and local attractions showing us off the paths non tourist sites. He easily accommodated a schedule change for us and found us a good local restaurant to eat. Thank you again Edvin you made our stay extra special!

        Relaxing and premium experience
It was a relaxing and premium experience. They offer pick-ups and shuttles from Antigua. The public boat transportation took a while to find the right place to be onboard, though. Reimbursement was also offered for the public boat to get to the dock. The experience offers kayaks, paddles, and others, as well as a relaxing massage tub/spa. It was a really amazing experience. Thanks, Lee, for hosting.

        Amazing experience start to finish
Amazing service! Our driver, Mario, was such a pleasure, kept in communication with us leading up to our pickup, and quelled our nervous stomachs as we traversed the windy, mountainous roads. Our guide at Iximche, Melvin, was amazing! So kind and knowledgeable. It was great to get such a robust tour and explanation of the site, its significance, and the complexity of Mayan culture throughout the region. We would gladly work with either of them again!

Amazing day around Lake Atitlan/San Juan La Laguna!
Our family took a Kayak Guatemala tour from Panjachel to San Juan La Laguna with Alex as our guide, and our experience was so much richer and more relaxing than it would have been had we gone on our own. Alex was so professional, yet warm, and we truly appreciated learning from him throughout the day. We also greatly enjoyed meeting and learning from the varied artisans and women with knowledge of traditional Mayan medicinal herbology who Alex introduced us to, as well as exploring corners of the town off the beaten path. I highly recommend a Kayak Guatemala tour for visitors to Lake Atitlan, especially for those traveling with a child like us!

Private boat captain bookings were great
Lee Beals helped us organize our private boat transportation when we visited Lake Atitlan for a week, as well as other transportation, and spa services. Lee is super responsive and not only helped to implement our proposed itinerary, but made suggestions and improved it. I was very finicky about wanting properly fitting life vests for all of the kids we were traveling with on the boats, and Lee was extremely accommodating and made it happen. I would definitely recommend you work with Lee if you're coming to Lake Atitlan. It made our trip so much better to have the same captain every day for private boat trips and booked through a trustworthy source. The captain Lee booked was always punctual and safe and great and with life vests. We also walked by Los Elementos several times and although we didn't use anything but the spa services, it looked like people were really enjoying the kayaks and all the water services they offer.

        Wonderful experience!
What a treat to get to see and learn about such a fascinating and beautiful culture. From the moment we met our shaman we could tell he was a special person. He explained the significance of where and why they perform these ceremonies. We did a cleansing ceremony and it was beautiful. It was a truly unique experience. The walk to the caves was a little steep. We took a chicken bus to and from town. We highly recommend to get off the regular tourist route and try something like this.

Truly unique experience at the lake
What a fun and unique experience. Comfortable, nice, friendly, and of course wonderful food. Would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a unique experience, especially in such a beautiful location like Santa Cruz.

        Amazing experience!
Today I did this amazing experience on my birthday and it was everything and more! It was a great way to start my new year of life! Alex was my guide and he really made sure I experienced Guatemala the right way. The ceremony itself was amazing. I didn't take any picture out of respect for my personal spiritual experience, I highly this recommend experience and Alex too!

The moment you leave the bussle of Panajachel and sit on your water taxi the magic begins.
You will have run the gauntlet of the water taxi "bookers" who will rip you off trying to get you to pay $10 US for a "private taxi", when the local water taxi service (every 10 minutes) costs $1.5 US. But once on the water speeding to your accommodation your spirit will begin to soar. The location and scenery are totally stunning, the air clear and the water appears clean.
Atitlan is a huge Caldera with surrounding volcanoes and villages dotted around the shoreline whose lights twinkle across the water at night. The pace of life is slow and relaxed with many Yoga type resorts advertised for those wishing a more spiritual visit. The flora is lush with many birds and animals in the undergrowth, you may even be buzzed by hummingbirds as they wizz by to the next feed.
The locals are happy people and willing to help even with when presented with very haltering Spanish !! .
Enjoyed every minute of the 3 day visit.

We had a great lunch. I recommend starting at the earliest time possible. The boat ride was nice. The views are breathtaking even if you do nothing else. Our guide was phenomenal and informative. We jumped off the cliff. It was exhilarating. We explored three different locations. Definitely save time for a bit of shopping.

We had a great day on this tour! Our guide, Sam, was absolutely incredible. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Los Elementos is a beautiful property and the area itself is stunning. We had a hiccup with the pick up, and had to postpone it a day which is why I rated it 4 stars, but Lee, the owner, was very accommodating to make up for it.

This was a great personalized experience at Lake Atitlan which is gorgeous. The natural beauty of the area is incredible. Our guide, Alex was fabulous and extremely knowledgeable and fun. We went hiking, kayaking, and some cliff jumping but you can do whatever you want. The villages we visited were interesting but not the highlight. The journey to and from Antigua was a little rough so next time would consider spending the night. The owner, Lee, was welcoming and accommodating and his house serves as a beautiful base for your day long adventure. You should do it!

Thank you for the positive feedback. I agree that spending at least one night at Lake Atitlan makes for a better experience. But if one day is all you have, come early (as you did) to make the most of your time. We hope to see you again.
