We went to this winery for a tour and a wine tasting afterwards. In short, this is a family owned winery that makes really great wines and during the tour provided an expirience that is more than worth the price of the tour. During the tour you get to hear about the wine making process in this specific winery and hear about its origins, as well as some fascinating facts about Macedonian wines and wine making in general. We didn't come with a large knowledge or experience in wine making or wine tasting, but left way more knowledgable as well as had quite a bit of fun. The owners are very friendly, the place is pretty and the wine selection is great.

Before arriving in North Macedonia I didn’t even know they made wines, but I certainly do now. Had a lovely time at the wine tasting where the owners told us about the manufacturing process before we tried six different wines. My main problem was to decide which one to buy and bring home, because they were all really good. It was also a good thing we didn’t have lunch before, because we got a tray full of ham, salami, cheese and bread during the tasting. For logistics: we got a taxi one-way for 360 MKD. Some other people who were there at the same time took the bus so that is also an option. All in all: would thoroughly recommend.

Kartal was undoubtedly a great experience that you must do in Skopje. Jordan and Filip are very kind and truly desire to transmit their passion for wine. The tour is interesting and so is the winery. Concerning the wines, congratulations, they are all delicious, Vranec was my favourite. The food delicacies are more than enough for 2. The price is correct, I paid 2460 MKD, which is 40€. Look forward to coming back !

Jordan told eagerly about the wine and how it’s made at the wine yard. The wine was amazing and we had plenty of cheese and ham on the side! We loved the energy of Jordan and Philip and the experience in total. Would defiantly recommend. Enjoy

Very unique wine expirience, wine tasting tour hosted by the owners themselves. High quality wines. Beautifully spent a couple of hours. If you visit Skopje don't miss Kartal winery.

Just a few minutes away from downtown Skopje, this hidden gem, Kartal Winery, is must to visit place while visiting Skopje. Owned by two brothers, Jordan & Filip Kartalov, who personally greed you and give you a great tour of the winery; they are also great tourist guides of Macedonian history and excellent hosts. Their tasting room is a great place to spend a few hours chatting, enjoying great food and excellent wine. Very friendly atmosphere. We had 6 different wines to taste and all of them were well paired with great local cheeses and meats. All in all great experience! Highly recommended place to visit. My wife and I had a great time and we’ll definitely go back.

My husband and I went Kartal Winery to taste their wines and learn about the process of making wine. We really loved the entire experience, the wine, and the meats and cheeses they offered with the wines. Philip and Jordan were great hosts! It was easy to talk to Jordan about wine, Skopje, and traveling in general. Definitely one of the best experiences in Skopje!

We arranged a wine-tasting with our group of 20 students, and were greated warmly by Jordan (the owner, who also arranged taxi's for us!). First we enjoyed the tour through the winery and after that the delicious wine-tasting, including a little story with every kind of wine. I would definitely recommend this place!

After suggestions from others here at Trip advisor we decided to contact the winery and book a wine tasting. Everything went perfect, after looking at their web page I got in touch by e-mail (and got a quick respond). The winery is located outside of the city and you will pas thru some industrial areas before you get there. You would definitely need a taxi if you don't have your own transport - and it can be a bit tricky to find. Anyway, if the owners are expecting you they will keep their eyes open. The two brothers; Filip and Jordan - who are the owners - gave us a nice tour around the winery and explained the wine making process. After that we went upstairs were they had set a nice table for us with lots of cheese, bread, ham and sausages - and of cause different types of wine. Jordan led us thru the tasting and told us about each and every wine as we tried. The wine is of good quality and you will have the opportunity to taste some different white as well as red wines. We had the most wonderful time at Kartal winery and as we left Skopje two days later we all agreed that this was one of the absolute "high lights" of our first trip to Skopje. I absolutely recommend a visit to Kartal winery and hopefully I will be back again!

Highly recommended to visit this garage winery. Brothers Jordan and Philip organise a great tour of the winery and the tasting with local cheeses and charcuterie is excellent. On top of everything it is always a great chat. One recommendation: book the visit before you go.

Kartal Winery is a really great because they have a really nice wine and really nice quality. Taste the nice wine.
