          Truly paradise
What an amazing day, the highlights were island 1 where we spent 2 hours exploring, playing in the water, kayaking, there is a bar and the tour provided some fruit, it was truly paradise, the second island was more of a sandbar where we got to play for about 15 minutes in the clear natural pool (I wouldn't call this an island but the tour classifies is as an island). The next island was for lunch we stayed for 1 hour very good food, large portion of chicken & plantains. The last island was also amazing, bar, palm tress crystal water great to lounge around and enjoy the magical views. Then it was time to go. This is a very long day from Panama about 13 hours, be prepared to be on the road at 5-530am, its about 2-3 hours to get to the doc where you wait for about 30-45 min while the operators are getting situated, there were a lot of people all going at the same time but a first world problem considering. Plan on being back in Panama between 6-7pm

          Must visit San Blas Islands
A must do tour when visiting Panama. The San Blas islands are beautiful and the tour guides are so amazing. They make the whole experience effortless. Everything is on time. The lunch served was delicious, and the time spend on all the islands was so relaxing. Davis was our tour guide on the boat, and him and his team in the boat were 10/10.

Muy bien. Food was good, but cocktails a little overpriced at the shops on the islands. Shoutout to Davis, very nice tourguide!

Truly regret not being able to rank this as 5 stars.
Would have ranked 5 stars, but for two incidents. The food was a delight and the Argentinian chef/guide a treasure. Her knowledge, insights and recommendations made this tour very special and memorable. She is kind, considerate and just a lovely person. Let me hit a couple observations. This Foodie tour is very much a walking tour too and you must be prepared for that. In the midday, scorching sun it can be a bit overwhelming trekking around town if you are not prepared for that. Thankfully, we were. The biggest negative here is the lack of direction as to exactly where to meet. The confirmation tells you the general location but not specific. The uber dropped us off at the Fish Market concession/restaurant stands. Avoid them at all cost. Walking amongst these various stand you are constantly barraged with aggressive hosts at the various concessions promoting their stand. Pushing their respective menu cards right in your face. One after another as you search for your tour start. I can't tell you how oppressive and off-putting this was. t was intrusive and intimidating and very annoying The phone number provided by tour didn't connect when i needed help. We showed the confirmation ticket to several and none were helpful. Finally we asked the parking attendant and he couldn't speak English (and we don't speak Spanish) but he went and got a kind english-speaking waiter that said the only place it could possibly be then was at the entrance to the actual fish market, which it was. I was prepared to leave and forget the whole tour, not worth the stress. A big error on behalf of the organizing people, not the tour guide. Not what i came here for. From there on it was a joy to experience everything offered on this tour. Exactly as described was terrific, except for my issue number 2: the main course we were to have was to have been at Lo que Hay restaurant. Fortunately we had eaten there the night before and it was a nightmare. We weren't welcome and they reluctantly seated us in a half-full restaurant because we didn't have a reservation, the waiter didn't speak english (had we been spanish i feel it would have been different),full of attitude and we were not being in the least unreasonable. We are not jerks. Then, without waiter assistance in our selections, the food was awful (except for tomato salad-excellent): the mashed potatoes with gravy was like gluttonous soup, inedible, it flowed off a spoon. Gross. The main course of this tour was to have been served here at this restaurant and we refused to return. This would have been a challenge for any tour guide but she graciously respected our wishes and found an alternative restaurant. That's it. A great tour and i'm glad we ran into that kind waiter so i didn't have to leave that nightmare of a cornucopia of fish market food stands. Have the tour director tell you precisely where to meet and you'll be fine. 5 stars except for those incidents which can easily be resolved. Learned much during the tour too. thank you for that.

          Great tour.
Great experience from the word go. Be aware it takes time to get there from Panama City. Took 4 hours from 5:00AM hotel pick-up before your toes hit island sands. 3 1/4 to get to the Marina. However, the SUV we travelled in was newish and clean. The driver only had rudimentary English skills, which made for limited discussion during a long trip. But he was pleasant and accommodating. The last hour's drive is in the mountains before you hit the sea. Twisty-turny, uppy-downy you go. If you have a modicum of being subject to car sickness, take a Gravol. If you are on a tour where you might get stuck in the back seats of an old Honda CRV, take several. Frankly, i think a lot has to do with the temperment of the driver. This private tour vehicle and its driver were terrific. I watched and he seldom went over 40kph in the mountains and he wasn't offended or challenged by several other vehicles taking risks to pass him. He calmly drove on, for which i was appreciative. We have taken six tours this trip and note that every single tour guide and driver are male. Brings to mind that a high school boy's locker room, after the game, with various air-clouded AXE body spray assaults confronting you, the impact has nothing on some of these guys. If you have scent sensitivity, i would suggest requesting a scent free driver. I had to ride with the window open all the way. The islands were wonderful but you have to be aware that while the boat and guides are private to you, the places you go are not. One aspect of this excursion that was unique to the private tour was the guides stopped say a hundred meters or so off one of the islands, dropped the anchor, and we snorkeled with them looking at sting rays, etc. Apparently i saw a shark, as proven by the video the guide took during our swim, but i didn't realize i saw it. Ha. The shark was the same colour as the coral. Terrific tour, worth every penny. enjoy.
