    El Valle Adventure
My wife and I enjoyed our day trip to El Valle de Anton from Panama City. The only negative was a bit of a confusion prior to our morning hotel pickup, as we received WhatsApp messages from two different people with conflicting start times and meeting locations; we were able to sort it out easily though and the trip went well from there. Our tour guide Milton was friendly and very knowledgeable and our driver Ryan did a good job navigating the minibus through the traffic of Panama City, a few slowdowns on the highway, and the windy mountain road. We had a good group of seven people and we actually stuck together - doing the challenging hike to the top of La India Dormida, having lunch at a local fonda by a marketplace, and a visit to the hot springs. The hot springs were not hot but warm, but we still enjoyed them. Overall, it was a good trip and I recommend it.

    Amazing Tour
This tour was such an amazing experience. Our guide Alex and boat captain Jose we’re both phenomenal. I can’t recommend this enough. We saw four mama whales and their calves and they gave us plenty of time to enjoy and take it all in. We also saw a pod of over 100 dolphins playing around and we got so up close and personal with them, but with enough respect for that the captain knew what he was doing. This tour was one of my favorite of all time.

    good cp value
the price is really reasonable given it covers hotel pickup and whale watching. They will try to ship close to the whale so you can see it clear

    Well organized wildlife tour
I was stationed in Panama many years ago and was eager to return to Gatun Lake. The tour was well organized. We saw and interacted with 3 different species of monkeys. A crocodile was an added bonus and was eager to show his teeth for a photo. I would easily recommend this tour for most ages. If you have mobility issues, you may have difficulty getting in and out of the boat.

    Wonderful tour !
Went out with Almiza tours, our Guides were amazing, Daniel gave us some great narrative history on Panama, the Canal and the area we were touring. Great efforts on looking for Crocodiles, turtles and other animals along the way. Going in the morning makes the most sense as the monkeys are active and filling up on the peanuts that we gave out. Lots of activity from the white-faced monkeys running around the boat, very fun and safe. I could have stayed out all day (the weather helped with that). FYI you have a a 45 min bus ride to the docks and it takes about 15 minutes or so on the water to get out to the area where you see animals.

    Very enjoyable
So enjoyable! They picked me up at a hotel near where I stayed. The 1hr easy drive went quickly as the guide shared history of the canal and lake formation. As a person who easily gets carsick when not being the driver, I was very relieved to have no problem whatsoever with the ride. We promptly got in the boat for a calm sail to the islands among a few traversing container ships. The friendly group of white-faced monkeys (with a baby!) took peanuts from our hands repeatedly. The small monkeys (Titi) grabbed banana from the boat’s ledge. The final group of Howler monkeys came to the trees nearby to inspect us. I think this is a great trip for everyone. Children who come should be comfortable with animals potentially jumping on their heads or shoulders.

    Whale of a time!
Mario and the captain took us on an amazing whale watch tour while we were in Panama. We started with a nice cruise along the coast and enjoyed amazing views of the city line. Then we headed out near a couple of islands and we saw some sea turtles. As we got further out into the ocean, we saw a whale from afar but since out boat was not too big, we were able to get very close to the whale. We followed this whale around for a while until it was time to head back to shore. On our way back we saw two whales, one mommy and one baby. We followed this pair for over an hour and we watched in awe each time they came up for air. We were able to get very close to them. It was truly an amazing tour and Mario and his Captain knew exactly where to take us to find the whales. We had a whale of a time! Thank you.

The tour was on time and reliable. We were a group of 3 people, 2 Japanese and 1 German. The tour was very friendly and enjoyable as it was a small group. The view of Lake Gatun with large ships coming and going and the surrounding rainforest was very Panamanian. The lady on staff could call the monkeys by whistle or voice. We saw three kinds of monkeys. We also saw crocodiles and large lizards. The monkeys were very friendly and cute. I recommend this tour.

    An amazing wildlife experience!
This was an excellent tour and I am so glad I decided to book it and that I went with this company! Mario was an amazing guide filled with fun facts and always a joyful attitude. Mario and his team made sure we saw all that we could, which included three types of monkeys, a crocodile and a sloth! The team was great and were able to get the monkeys onto the boat for up close viewing. I was a solo traveler for the day and appreciated that I could book as a solo, instead of the mandatory two that most other routes require. I absolutely loved this tour and recommend it to anyone looking to go to Gatun Lake and Monkey Island! I would also recommend this company for any tour as they are very profressional, timely and make sure you see something! Thank you to Mario and his team for this wonderful experience!

    Incredible experience
We had an amazing experience on the Valle de Anton tour. Abel was our guide and Brian was our driver. Brian was a good driver, felt safe in his hands. Abel was incredible! He told us all about Valle de Anton and helped create a custom tour with us and the other 2 people on our tour. He gave us all the options and described everything and after we picked the 5 activities we wanted to do. He then took us for the best day! We went to the top of the valley for a scenic view of the crater. We went to the waterfall, the butterfly garden, the frog sanctuary, the local artisan market, and the thermal pools. He also took us to an amazing restaurant for lunch. Abel was excellent! Really enjoyed a perfect day in Panamá

I called 45 minutes after supposed pickup time at W Hotel. We were told to walk to the corner and wait for them. 10 minutes later, in sunny 94 degrees, the van shows up and proceeds to pick up other people from hotels in the same area. They passed our hotel twice during that time. Why did we have to walk to the corner? Why were we not told an accurate pickup time if we were the first passengers. Then the van, almost loaded, traveled to the old city to pick up more passengers, 20 minutes. We circled around the block five times in traffic, waiting for the customers. They could not be found. We drove another 20minutes back, though our hotel’s neighborhood to pick up a last person. Why weren’t these no shows contacted earlier by phone. By the time the last passenger was picked up, it was 2 hours after the 10:15 pickup time. The touring was ok. No animals in rain forest. A stop for gas on my time was unacceptable. A van and driver should fill up before the tour. A half hour stop at a large grocery store for us to buy our own lunch was complicated and a waste of time. This trip was not worth the money. Mario, the guide was informative, but full of excuses about he and the driver not communicating well. Like it was a joke. I would not recommend this tour or this tour company.

What an adventure! Mario was a great guide with a friendly and humorous approach to his storytelling. So much was packed into this full day tour and I think it's a great price. It was a great way to get a taste of the Caribbean side of Panama. I would recommend this tour as it is a great way to do various activities in one shot.

We did this tour today and it was very well done!
Mario is a fountain of knowledge and presented information with a sense of humor that was most effective! He is both very personable and professional!
We saw howler monkeys, white faced monkeys and sloths.
The visit to the new section of the canal is very interesting. Take the time to watch a ship travel through one of the locks!!

The tour was well organised including the pick up and drop off. The guide was great. Enjoyed it so much especially the rainforest. Saw lots of howler monkeys and also two toed and three toe monkeys. First time seeing these lovely creatures in their natural habitat.

Enjoyed the tour so much that I joined them for a tour to Monkey Island as well.

Highly recommended.

We docked in colon for one day and had provoked the tour. When we disembarked the guide was waiting holding a sign with our name on. We were straight into the car and off!
The guide advised that we do the rainforest first as there would be more wildlife in the morning. He soon picked up that we liked birds and made a special effort to point them out. We saw howler monkeys and white faced cappuchins and another animal that I can't remember the name of!
The fort was interesting but we didn't spend too long there as the kids were bored.
We got to see boats going through both old and new locks and spent time at the visitor centre. Great value and knowledgeable guide.

Mario is a good and entertaining tour guide. He’s English is fair to understand. The tour details are, however, not entirely accurate.

We did not stop at a national park (rain forrest) per se. On our way to San Lorenzo Fort you drive through the forrest and here is where you spot some animals. There is no fee to enter the National Park San Lorenzo so this is not technically an exclusion.

The fee to enter the Agua Clara visitor’s center is listed twice as an exclusion.

Beverages. He briefly mentioned that if someone wants a drink he would buy them when we stopped to buy lunch in Colón. However, the drinks/water were not offered later on. He should buy them without asking and offer them in the car during the trip.

Excluded fees to enter the Agua Clara visitor’s center ($15 for foreigners) and the San Lorenzo Fort ($5) should be listed on the tour details as a reference.

The van is clean and comfortable. However, the tire treads on the van are gone and this is a safety issue in the event of rain (and in Panama it rains a lot). Van tires should be replaced as soon as possible.

We were picked up on time by Alex. I had not expected such an in depth tour of the canal, sightings of monkeys, exotic birds and sloths as well as a the visit to the SAN Lorenzo fort. Alex, our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile and point out areas and animals of special interest.

I highly recommend this tour and Alex our tour guide! Thank you Almiza tours and especially our guide Alex!

We did this tour on New Year's Eve and had a great time. After hotel pick-ups, you drive across Panama to the Caribbean and stop at a supermarket to pick up lunch. The San Lorenzo Fort is neat, the views are impressive. The canal expansion at Aquas Claras was much less crowded than the Miraflores locks near Panama City. It was a must-see to see the huge ships go through the Panama Canal. I highly recommend this tour. I just wish we had spent more time in the rainforest. We saw a sloth, coati, and Howler monkeys from the car. The driver stopped so we could take pictures. If we had spent more time in the rainforest, I would definitely give this 5 stars.
