Had a trip booked, try to contact the person, never returned my text,, went through Expedia, the person never responded, the person like only collects money, but never shows

I booked this tour because I had a business trip to Panama, so I added the weekend to the trip so that I could tour the Panama Canal. So, I'm eagerly awaiting this bucket-list trip. I provide my hotel at the time of booking. I arrive in Panama the night before. The tour company was supposed to contact me the night before to tell me the time of departure and what time they are picking me up from my hotel. By 9 PM or so, they still have not contacted me. So I called and left a detailed message. No response. So the next morning, my departure time is at 9 AM. I wake up at 5:30 and call again, no answer. I go down to my hotel lobby, but no one shows up so at 7:45 I arrange my own transportation to the departure point. I get there, and they are nowhere to be found. I look for an hour, and call multiple times and ask lots of people, but no one there has even heard of them, and they do not return my calls. So I go back to my hotel and report this to Viator - A TripAdvisor company, and request a refund. They reply back that a refund is not possible because I did not provide my hotel information (I did though) and I didn't cancel in advance. Please keep in mind I reported this at 9:30 AM on the day of the tour, when the tour was actually happening without me. I'm not happy TripAdvisor. Not happy at all. Not only am I apparently out the cost of trip and the cost of the extra days in Panama, but I also didn't get to see the canal. If I could rate them 0 out of 5, I would.

The guide was good but no better than average. Our big problem was that the company made commitments, which they did not keep. We did the Embera Village tour on one day and the city tour the next. Regarding the Embera tour, the website clearly says that it lasts 8 hours and includes lunch, waterfalls and hiking. A plain english reading of the website was that the admission to Embera was included. Rather we had to pay $35 admission each. Lunch was a largish snack provided by Embera. We were not offered hiking or visiting waterfalls. The tour was 6.5 hours. Regarding the city tour, to cover the Miraflores locks, the causeway, and the old town, the site says that this is a 6 hour tour. Thomas, the owner, by phone told me that it would last 7 to 8 hours. However, that morning I was told that it would be only 4 to 5 hours. We visited the locks and the causeway and, after 3 hours reached the old town, where we were deposited while the guide went to park his car. An hour later, he informed us that he was still looking for a parking space. We told him to forget it and leave us at a museum, which he did. Since there were no good restaurants nearby, he did offer to wait while we had lunch. He could have parked outside the old town and taken a short taxi ride. Finally, by phone a few weeks beforehand, I agreed to his price of $428 for the two days. I later notice that his price posted on the internet amounted to $400. He said that that price was for an internet reservation, not for one made directly with him. What a way to treat a client. This is not the worst tour experience we have had, but far from the best.

We visited Panama on vacation and had a delightful experience working Tom. He recommended a few tours, but our favorite was the Panama Canal Transit Tour(a must see, worth every penny). Tom's very knowledgeable, thoughtful and considerate. He is willing to go out of his way to ensure you have a good time!

Go Anyplace Panama took us to several destinations during our 12 day stay in Panama, including El Valle de Anton, San Lorenzo, Old Panama City Ruins, the Biodiversity Museum and arranged a trip ON the Panama Canal. Staff were wonderful in all ways - easy to talk to, interesting, knowledgeable, trustworthy, multi-lingual and flexible. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants a great trip to and in Panama.We couldn't have had a better experience!

Originally I scheduled the partial canal tour because the Viator agent told me that I could make it with my departure flight at 6:40pm on the same day. I was glad that I called Tom (the owner of Go Anyplace Panama). He was honest with me and told me that I might miss my flight if I go to that tour. He then recommended me this Ocean to Ocean Panama Canal and Jungle Tour which I had a great time! It was a private exclusive tour where I took the ferry across the panama canal on the Atlantic side, drove through the jungle and visit the Spanish fort at San Lorenzo. We even stopped on the road in the jungle to see the roar monkeys. I took the hop on and hop off tour on my first 2 days to view the Panama City but only learned a little and felt bored quickly on my second day at Panama City. I'm so glad that I joined this exclusive tour with Go Anyplace Panama to visit the canal and jungle which was one of the greatest moments I had for my trip in Panama. Tom is a great tour guide! Love it!

Tom picked my boyfriend and I up from the airport to give us a tour of the city during our 8 hour layover from Cuba back to the US. He was pleasant and full of great knowledge about Panama and her history. It was my second visit to Panama, but I feel like I learned more about the city in a few hours than I did in the days I was there previously. We got to hit all the highlights and it only whet our appetite for more Panama! Tom was professional and courteous and his vehicle was clean and spacious. And he got us to the airport with plenty of time to spare. Highly recommend!

I'm torn about how to rate this experience. I booked my Panama Canal tour through Viator. The tour included hotel pickup. The pickup was scheduled for 5:30am but never showed. By the time the tour operators responded it took a frantic taxi ride to the docks to make the tour. By the time I got to boat there was no place to sit above deck. I had to stand for 7 hours. That said, the tour was excellent and the guide was very knowledgeable. Breakfast was sketchy but lunch was pretty good. My advice is to book the tour but arrange your own transportation.

I went to San Blas using the company Go Anyplace panama. The day was amazing, we first took the car and stop to a cafe to eat a delicious local breakfast and then we took a boat to go to the Island. Our guide was really nice and funny. I recommend Go Anyplace panama for touring around panama. Thank you for the Day.

I recently took a day tour around the city with Tom. He takes a lot of pride in providing the best experience possible. I learned so much on the tour, and he was very knowledgeable about just about any question I had. It was refreshing to be able to speak English or Spanish. I highly recommend this company to anyone visiting Panama City. He also helped us out a ton with our trip to San Blas, even when he had no incentive to. 5 stars :)

We were fortunate enough to get the owner Thomas to do our tour and airport in addition to taking us to the beach side. Thomas was so sweet, nice, it was like hanging with a cousin/brother. I highly recommend him as your personal tour guide and driver. He was on time, even early and answered all of our wuestions, gave us historical background on Panama. I can't say enough good things about Thomas except he's phenomenal. Hes also one of the highest rated tour guides in Panama. But don't take my word, book a tour and see for yourself. You will not regret it. Thank you Thomas for everything. I can't wait to come back to visit.

My wife and myself from USA visited Panama City, Panama first time. This trip is really excellent experience. The representative Mr. Thomas gave us extraordinary attention for this Trip and guide us like a own brother/ real friend and show us all important places around Panama City. He is a well experienced person where to take and what to show. Personally explaining everything, guiding and accomadating very very comfortably. He took us on our way to Crater Valley to his friends restaurant for Lunch and they treated us as their own family members. Chicken Soup they made is excellent. This family has very good cottages to stay and have huge beautiful garden. We pick some mangoes and other fruits from their garden. Mr. Thomas took very very good care of us. We travelled through different cities around the world, but this is the best trip in our life, so far. Panama Canal trip is really enjoyable one and one must travel through the canal and enjoy it. It is really wonderful experience. Thanks to Mr. Thomas and his restaurant friends near Crayer valley. I recommend this Trip advisor to everybody to make reservations and enjoy their wonderful guidance. Good luck

A group of friends were coming to visit Panama from Sweden for the first time. We had the great opportunity to use Thomas Sarasqueta and his Go Anyplace Panama for organizing and planning our tour and also as our personal guide. We started with a half day city tour covering Casco Viejo, Cerro Ancon, Cause Way, Panama Viejo, and Amador. On the Second day he organized a partial tour through the canal which covered the three locks on the Pacific side. This was a memorable experience. On the third day he took us in a large SUV to the Valle Anton to visit Campana, a waterfall, and a zoo. We relaxed there and stayed the night in a beautiful lodge in the Valle. The following day we went to the beach in Santa Clara which is one of the best beaches on the pacific side. Thomas and Go Anyplace Panama were there for us with information, advice, and help throughout the trip. He is an excellent driver which helped us feel confident while going up the steep roads in el Valle. I am happy to highly recommend Thomas and Go Anyplace Panama for organizing and carrying out excellent tours. We will gladly use this service again. Georg

We went on the Valle de Anton tour with the owner of the company, Tomas. What incredible service! He picked us up on time from our hotel, had cold water, and towels for us just in case it rained and we wanted to dry off. His vehicle was comfortable and the driving was smooth. Our first stop was a wonderful little Indigenous Market where Tomas bargained down some prices for us and gave us little, tasty bananas called guineos chinos. Then we went to the thermal hot springs where Tomas tipped one of the workers there to give us a personal tour. Check out the sound shells, which are really interesting. Next we went to the waterfall, where it started to rain and Tomas gave us an umbrella to use--he was very prepared. Then we drove to an amazing view to Cerro Cruzes where we could see the whole valley below. Absolutely gorgeous. We were hungry by then so he took us to one of his friend's houses, who is a trained chef, and we had homemade San Cocho with a chicken that was slaughtered that day. Really yummy. Then we went to the Nispero, a super cool zoo that was filled with local birds, a crocodile, a tapir, a leapard, various frogs. Finally, on the way back to Panama, we stopped for a beer at a unique place in las Gorgonas. There is no way that you could have this kind of tour with any other guide. Tomas was the perfect tour guide--spoke impeccable English, was helpful and service oriented, and also knew when to hang back and leave you alone. I would highly recommend using this your company to anyone! We definitely will if we return to Panama.
