Wonderful expert led walks of Kyiv
I visited Kyiv in August 2024 and enjoyed fabulous walking tours with both Liudmyla and Anton, who are two of the best guides I have had anywhere! They are both so knowledgeable, hospitable, and enthusiastic about introducing visitors to their beautiful, historic, and resilient hometown. Communications and arrangements were easily and quickly made via WhatsApp. Liudmyla provided a superb walk through ancient Kyiv, while Anton led me on a Jewish tour, including a visit to Babi Yar, and a tour of Podil. I had so many questions for both Liudmyla and Anton, and they patiently and expertly answered them all. It is wonderful to know that this fantastic business continues to operate and welcome visitors in spite of all of the adversity of the past years, and you should most definitely contact them when you come to Kyiv.

          Fun, Interesting, and Satisfied!
I am a solo world traveler, and was fortunate enough to find this tour company and guide last fall while visiting Kiev, Ukraine! Scheduling the tour was quick and easy. The guide, Liudmyla, returned all my calls and texts quickly in addition to answering all of my questions (in English) I was pleasantly surprised and satisfied with her extensive knowledge of both Kiev, Ukraine, and the ex Soviet Union. Her English skills were very competent, and she had a kindness and sense of humor which made the tour that much more enjoyable. I have had many guides in my extensive world travels that I found to be curt, rushed, and almost robotic in their presentation. Liudmyla was friendly, genuinely interested in my questions and very sweet and patient. I was extremely satisfied with her and the company, and HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Scott - United States

          A Fabulous Tour Experience!
This was the BEST tour experience we have ever had in Kyiv! Our tour guide, Vlad, is one of the kind! He is extremely knowledgeable, professional and kind; he truly LOVES his city and genuinely cares about sharing its magic and amazing, often tragic, history. Don't miss the chance to come to Kyiv and learn from its architectural masterpieces and lively culture. Even during these trouble times, Kyiv is a safe place to visit and you will be embraced by the warmth of its incredible people--like Vlad!. We enthusiastically recommend this tour company; we will surely hire them again once we are back to Kyiv, hopefully soon!

          an impressive architecture
The building affects people. impressive and fascinating. You must definitely see this place. The interior design is also interesting. recent history architecture. Made with care. However, I highly recommend coming here individually, not on tours. You can see it in more detail. You can make an investigative trip

          Vlad the tour guide
Hi myself & my brother did a walking tour with Vlad as our guide, he was a excellent tour guide, perfect english & a huge amount of knowledge of the city. With this unprovoked & barbaric attack on his Country that is truly unforgivable, myself & my brother are concerned for his welfare, we would be really appreciated if someone could let us know if he's ok? Thank you

          Interesting and fun
Had a great time today with Lyudmila walking around the old city of Kyiv under snowy sky. Informative, warm and fun. Excellent English narration of legends and history of this beautiful part of the city. Also fantastic wine-and-dine tips. Warmly recommend.

Winter Drive into the heart of Chernihiv
I had the opportunity to experience a North-east winter wonderland trip in Ukraine, an amazing and unique private tour, thanks to Ludmilla and Yuri. They drove me around, suggested great restaurants, arranged accommodation and selected great venues all with my consent. So, they brought me to local museums, monuments, architectural beauties and parks which brought to life the history of Ukraine under the guidance of expert and hearted Ukrainian tour leader, Luidmilla Kilesso. Yuri, the dedicated and ultra safe driver, helped me to view amazing sights and regularly interacted with locals to discover apt places for great food places of intriguing interest and relevance. And because of them I had the pleasure of enjoying many friendly people as we passed through the Chernihiv Oblast. I will never forget people like Sergey who gave me horse rides, wild honey and the forests of ZYMLANKA, Oxana the traditional weaver and so many more great locals. Thanks Kyiv Walking Tours for organizing the bespoke tour of a lifetime to Baturin, Novgorod-Severskiy, Nizhen and all the in-between villages and towns.

          Leo was just amazing!
One of the best tours I did! The group was very small and very cold day (at least for me)! He’s English was perfect, and very clear! The tour was very informative and rage way he was giving history lessons was very easy to get. I strongly recommend everyone to do this tour with him!

          Great introduction to the city
We did the Soviet Kyiv and Ancient Kyiv walking tours and thoroughly enjoyed them! The guides are both personable and knowledgeable. Each were 2.5 to 3 hours, so bundle up in you're going in winter!

Amazing and insightful tour - 5/5
Really great tour with an informed tour guide. You will see the essentials of Kiev in 2 hours! The tour itself provides lots of information but it’s was possible to ask all additional questions and always het an answer. I can fully recommend the tour to anyone who wants to learn about the history of Kiew in a fun way!!

          quality service!
The tour was very dynamic with a lot of interesting, to-the-point information and really helpful orientation. Anastasia is very passionate about the town and really knows how to keep a group interested and involved. The two hours is perfect to see the main sites. We really appreciate the extras that Anastasia was giving: info about the food, clubs, opera, and others. I wish to have time to go on another tour but certainly will come back another time!

Badly organised and a boring tour-guide - Sadly a letdown compared to other free-tours
First of all, the meeting point was not clearly mentioned and we had to look for our guide for 10 minutes. The geolocation was wrong and Irina had no umbrella or something like that to recognize her. The Tour itself was alright, but I don't really get why it's called The "soviet tour". She showed us some places but she didn't made it sound interesting at all. Also she told us to hurry up all the time because it got dark, but it's not our fault if it's not planned well. Also she recommended a restaurant which was closed and didn't knew any bars in the city , not what you except as a student group from a local. By far the worst free-tour I've ever been to! Hope it will get better in the future.

I have booked several private tours with this Company whenever I have been in Kyiv; I find it to be a fascinating and friendly city, and I return whenever I can. Their tour of the huge outdoor folk museum I found to be particularly interesting. It is a collection of authentic village buildings from the different regions of Ukraine, each with distinctive architecture and traditions. Liuda was a very knowledgeable and easy-going guide, with excellent English language skills. She had an extensive depth of knowedge about the old village ways life and Ukrianian folk traditions. I was glad I booked a guide to see this folk museum; it isnt very accessible by public transport, and is so vast that if I had seen it on my own I wouldn't have known which highlights to see, and there isn't much English translation material provided. I felt I understood more about the Ukrainain traditions and national identity afer this tour with Liuda, and I recommend it very highly.

Hi, Alexander! I am delighted that you have had such a unique experience of visiting this huge open-air museum with Liudmila. I hope in the nearest future you will be able to come to Ukrainian capital again and enjoy visiting more wonderful places. Kind regards, Viktoriia

Our tour guide was Anastasia. The open air museum was entertaining, insightful, and a great learning experience! Our guide was very knowledgeable and gave detailed explanations while relating to her own family stories. She also gave us helpful tips for the rest of our time in Kiev. Highly recommended!

I had a day free in Kiev before a tour of the Carpathians and as I have done most of the more obvious tourist attractions on a previous visit ,I decided to visit this open air museum just a short drive south of the city.
The village was so pretty with thousands of flowers in the cottage gardens all tended by a Babooshka house proud of their own domains and eager to chip in with extra advice.
        A perfect day out.
I would also like to say my guide ( Anastasia) was first class , with faultless English, a super bright person and a complete mine of information on the history and geography of the Ukraine , with some lovely stories.
