Excellent tour, with knowledgeable guide that goes over and beyond to please
This day-trip delivers as advertised, as it affords tourists to Belgrade an opportunity to visit locations outside the city that would be near impossible to do independently, We were asked to present ourselves outside the entrance to our hotel 7:30 AM, and sure enough, the van with guide and driver was waiting for us even before the prescribed time. Julia, our guide, was happy to point out significant landmarks in Belgrade as we drove to leave the city. She explained how one goes about exploiting the city's public transport system, as guidebooks still retain the outdated info that one can simply pay the drivers the transport fare. The first stop on the tour was the Manasija Monastery, and the tour description correctly forewarned one of the necessity to bring cash for the monastery store. The second stop was the Resavska Cave (entrance fee included in tour price), and the tour guide enhanced our experience by pointing out interesting cave formations that seemed to reflect animal and human figures. A stop at the Lisine Waterfall was topped off by the driver offering an assortment of Serbian fruit-flavored Rakija that included a souvenir glass. The tour ended with a well-selected stop at a countryside restaurant that served excellent Serbian cuisine, but which was ridiculously cheap. My wife and I managed to have a satisfying lunch for a combined total of around 11-12 euros. On the way back to Belgrade, the guide and driver offered to drop us off at a requested restaurant, but the guide first called the restaurant to discover they were reluctant to accept patrons at the moment. The guide then called a second restaurant for us, securing a reservation, and even accompanied us to the premises to confirm that the reservation was being held for us. As a former travel-agency owner, I can attest to the professionalism of the guide and driver. A minor criticism is that on the way back to Belgrade we stopped at the "honey village," and were given tastes of different varieties of the local honey. The driver, however, took it on himself to collect some apples and wouldn't accept a "no" when the apples were presented as gifts. Reluctantly, we accepted the apples as to not offend the driver. However, our plans were to travel internationally within the following 48 hours, and fresh fruit is a contraband item for most customs authorities. If one is caught taking contraband into a country, often enough this info is entered into an international database. In the United States, for example, we enjoy the privileges of having SENTRI cards that expedite our crossings from Mexico to the USA that otherwise can sometimes take hours. We recall a couple at the USA/Mexico border with a couple of apples in their front seat, and their SENTRI privileges were revoked permanently, condemning them to wait additional hundreds of hours at the border crossing to reach their Mexican second home. So, in the future, tour participants should be allowed to politely decline items that could present customs difficulties.

        Great!
Thank you, Milan and Jelena! It was a really wonderful experience I wouldn’t have had without joining, especially river cruise. The trip was greatly well planned, and Jelena’s talking was sophisticated and of lots of witness. I also enjoyed Milan’s homemade rakija. I strongly recommend this tour. It would be a unforgettable experience.

Excellent trip, worth visiting places in Serbia
We had a wonderful time with Ranko and Miroslav in the Serbia inspired tours, and the tour was very informative and we learned a lot about the history of Serbia. The places he took us was beautiful and loved the food in the restaurant we were taken to.

        Simply amazing time
From start to finish, I had an excellent trip. I was able to get in contact with Serbia Inspired Tours, which is perfect since I don't like to talk on the phone. They quickly answered all my questions and 2 days later I was on the tour with Miroslav as our tour guide and Ranko as our driver. Miroslav was extremely welcoming and made sure everyone met each other as everyone was picked up, which created such a friendly atmosphere. Throughout the trip I learned A LOT. This was the 4th tour I went on overall while visiting Serbia and was honestly one of the best ones. Ranko was an excellent driver. We were always on time, if not a little early. I personally get motion sickness a lot and had some trouble on the windy roads. Both him and Miroslav made sure I was taken care of. When we returned to Belgrade, I needed to be dropped off at a different location and they brought me there. Would recommend!

This tour is must-do in Serbia!
Truly exceptional! Definitely worth every penny and more. Our tour guide, Miroslav, was attentive, highly intellectual, had excellent command of the English language, and polite through-and-through. The driver, Ranko, ensured our smooth and pleasant journey; we felt safe and looked after. We felt valued and were cared for from the minute of getting picked up, to the minute of being dropped off. Miroslav’s knowledge is immense and he left no stone unturned: any question we asked was thoroughly answered. It was clear that he is passionate about his country and culture: he was excited to share that with the group. We realised how spoiled we were with this tour in comparison to the other tour we took with a different provider and tour guide the next day. We’re very thankful to Miroslav and Ranko for making our experience in Serbia special!

        A tour I will remember
I will remember this trip for a very long time. This tour is amazing you get to see the majestic fortress, you get to see the archeological site as well as a boat tour on the Danube where you will see many monuments that can only be seen if you're on the water. Nina was an amazing tour guide. She's very happy to answer questions and help you with anything. Very knowledgeable guide. Ranko is an awesome driver! Highly recommend this tour.

A day for the memory book!
Myself and two friends had one full day in Serbia to spend at our leisure before starting a tour through Serbia, Slovenia and Croatia. This tour caught our attention. We thought it would be interesting to explore Serbia outside of the populated tourist attractions. It was absolutely fabulous. Nina and Ranko picked us up at our hotel. Nina was in the lobby waiting for us. Ranko waiting in the van outside. Nina was friendly, knowledgeable and kind. Ranko did not speak much English but still projected kindness. Ranko packed and handed out dog treats to many of the street dogs we encountered along our journey. This alone gives him a rating of a 10+++ in our book. During our drive we passed through many villages where Nina shared the traditions of the local people. Our first stop was the Montessori. Nina provided us with the culture and historical facts about the Montessori. We then visited and toured the largest cave system in Serbia. It that took us 80 meters below sea level. Next was a beautiful waterfall. We had an added bonus of by coincidence meeting a famous Serbian Actor who just happened to be at the waterfall filming at the same time we were there. Our last stop was to a trout farm. In that area there was a cave that had the bluest of blue water. As our tour concluded we had lunch at a restaurant overlooking the river. We all chose to have trout at the recommendation of Nina. The trout was from the trout farm we had just visited. The meal was delicious. There are beautiful people in the world who may only be part of your life for a brief moment but impacted you and you will always remember them. Nina and Ranko are two of these people. Myself and my friends highly recommend this tour. I hope any one reading this review and decides to book this tour also has the pleasure of getting Nina and Ranko as their guide and driver. This was our favorite day while visiting Serbia.

Really informative tour through the Serbian countryside
My guide Miroslav was outstanding; I was really impressed not only by his encyclopedic knowledge of Serbian culture (food, history, film, politics, nature) but also his curiosity in learning about mine. The drive to and back took around 2 hours in each direction but his conversations managed to fill the time really well. Also kudos to Milan, the driver, who was really skilled at navigating the roads and gave me samples of his homemade rakija in different flavours. I also want to thank Jelena who managed to contact me via WhatsApp and gave all the relevant information in advance. I definitely want to take another Serbian Inspired Tour the next time I visit Belgrade!

Good but it can be improved
Great tour guide, comfortable car, small group, ok locations. Additionally, I would prefer a bit more walking in the area, maybe hiking trail, but I loved it.

        Great tour & Excellent service
Jelena who arranges and organises the bookings etc is the star of the business. She is extremely efficient, professional and goes above and beyond to make your trip memorable. It was my birthday on the day of the trip and she arranged a surprise of cakes, gifts and rakjia tasting. Her efforts made my day super special. The trip itself was amazing. From the monastery to the cave, waterfall and spring all the sights were beautiful and worth seeing. Driving through the countryside was calming and relaxing. Miroslav the guide had excellent knowledge about all the sights and the history of Serbia and gave us an insight into daily life of Serbians. Milan the driver was calm even during traffic and got us to every destination safely. The rakjia we tasted is made by his family and it was so good! I highly recommend this tour and this company. You will have the best time in Serbia because of their hospitality.

Great tour, made even more special by our outstanding tour guide Nina and our driver Ranko. Great photo opportunities, and had a fantastic lunch at a traditional Serbian restaurant recommended by Nina (cost not included in tour). Nina’s knowledge of Serbian history was amazing. I had a long lay over on my trip from Australia to Germany and found this tour to make use of the time. Best thing I could have done. I had perfect communication right from the start of booking ahead in Australia. Each promise of details were followed. I knew who would pick me up, which is a very reassuring fact for a little older, solo female traveler like me. On arriving my guide Nina was there with a very warm and friendly mannerto start our day. Nina was amazing! Full of enthusiasm and knowledge about her country, it was a joy to listen to all her stories and explanations. We had a fantastic day and I learned in that short time so much more than I could have done reading a book.
Well done to all involved putting these tours together and every success in the future.
