Me and the wife took the tour, yesterday, April 28th. Our guide was Marina, we worked with Maja at the office.

Maja was attentive and provided great service, with quick turnaround and attention to details.

Marina went above and beyond all the reasonable steps to provide the best experience possible. In spite of a rainy day, she made the tour interesting filling us with details and interesting stories as we walked and while we ate. She even took with her a detailed map of Serbia's history, and was quite knowledgeable answering our questions about the past of this country, including the 90's wars.

This was primarily a food tour, though, and we need to address that. The choices were shiny and delicious. I wish we had more room to enjoy all the good stuff that was served, it was quite impossible to finish it all.

In conclusion, we highly recommend this tour, and Marina.

Joined Jovana and Nedeljko on a food tour around the city. It was a phenomenal experience, to enjoy food and see how history and culture has shaped Belgrade's food scene. I learnt about how its coffee culture was shaped by the Ottomans in one of the few authentic Kafanas in town, savoured a plate of traditional Serbian food at an old school restaurant, discussed the revitalisation of traditional foods by hipsters in one of the most popular knedle shops in town and celebrated local ingredients at a young ice cream parlour revolutionising how Belgrade enjoy ice cream, and ended the day eating some of the sweetest fruits like the locals did at a market.

Even more wonderful was how Jovana and Nedeljko customised the trip to try dishes that I had not tried prior to the trip so I'd get a full mix of flavours.

An amazing experience well worth the price and more worth the friendship and conversation!

Marina was a wonderful tour guide. Not only did I learn a lot about Belgrade's food and restaurant scene, but she was a fantastic source of information for all things Serbia. She very patiently and enthusiastically answered all of my questions about Serbian history, architecture, current events, culture, etc. After doing this on my first day in Belgrade, I didn't need to take a general walking tour of the city. I also highly recommend the tour that ends in Zemun as it's a lovely part of the city to see. She did a good job of mixing traditional food with new and upcoming city favorites as well.

She was also very COVID conscious which was greatly appreciated.

Our experience on our food tour far outdid our expectations. We were given the opportunity to know more about the city’s people, complex history, and, of course, culture through a tour of the foods and restaurants in the city. We were able to ask our countless questions alongside generous samplings of everything from Turkish coffee to and Cevapi to a modern ice cream shop. The tour was informative, entertaining, and delicious. It is the first thing I would recommend to anyone considering a trip to the city.

I had a wonderful experience on this exclusive tour (there was only one other participant on the tour with me) from the very friendly tour guide. We learned about Serbian culture, what daily life is currently like in Belgrade, and of course, about some of the famous Serbian dishes. We never felt rushed and truly felt welcome the entire time. This is a MUST experience for those who want to truly experience Belgrade.

What a memorable experience! Firstly, the guides were absolutely fantastic - so friendly and knowledgeable. And of course, the food was phenomenal, all while getting to walk around the city and take in the extraordinary culture. Strongly recommend as Belgrade trip would not be the same without it!

I highly recommend this agency (and this tour in particular). My guide Marko was excellent! Lively, knowledgable, friendly and filled with information about not only the local foods, but also about the modern and old history, architecture or traditions. He provided an interesting insight into the lives of Serbian people and introduced me to the culture as a whole. Thank you!

It's my first time in Serbia and traveling solo on this leg of my holiday. I knew I wanted to try the food so I signed up for the Bigger Plate tour. Turns out I was the only client that day so I had Marko the tour guide all to myself. Marko is hands down the most passionate, informative, and friendly guide any visitor could ask for. What was meant to be a 3-4 hour tour of Belgrade stretched out to 8 hours. And I couldn't be more grateful! It was an amazing day of food, culture of course, lots of laughs, of personal stories of hardship and shared triumphs, of survival and of LIFE in general. He was very generous in sharing his personal knowledge of growing up in this city. In marko I met a wonderful local and a friend. My expectations were easily met and surpassed. Bravo! And oh yes the food was superb😊.

Our dear friend, Wow! I wish I was a traveler and could meet Belgrade in the way you did! We are so happy you had that special connection with Marko (and with food) and we hope you will remember Belgrade with joy in your heart for years to come. I am sure this is not your last visit here ;) The main goal of starting our tours was to share the life and passion that we have here in Serbia with those who were appreciate it and are willing to exchange both opinions and emotions. Your comment showed us that the people who share our vision choose our tour, but also important- that Marko- our first guide was a perfect match for our vision. That makes us very happy! Also it just infected me with travel bug and wish for a true connection with someone from other amazing cultural background! Keep on discovering! With love, Ana and rest of Food and Culture tour in Belgrade

Friends
I had basically zero expectations when I booked a trip for my father and I to go to Belgrade. I was poking around on Trip Advisor and saw these food and culture tours. I have always thought learning about a culture's food is a GREAT way to learn about the culture overall, and this tour did exactly that.

Over the course of three days we actually ended up booking THREE of their tours (Serbia on a Bigger Plate, Communism Tour, Street Food tour) and we loved EVERY-SINGLE-MINUTE of our time with these outstanding women and tour guides. All three of our guides spoke essentially native English. They were insanely well-educated and knowledgeable about Serbia, Belgrade, and the entire region. We learned so much about Serbia and Belgrade and we would have learned ZERO about the culture had it not been for these tours.

I have traveled all over the world and I am not exaggerating when I say this is hands-down one of the best tour companies and tours I have ever experienced. If you are looking for good stories, great food, lots of history and culture, and an opportunity to walk all over Belgrade like a local, THIS is your tour.

As a bonus note, this a tour company run by some amazing local women, not some giant tour company with an HQ somewhere else. If you want to support local Belgrade folks who just want to share their language, culture and food with visitors, this is the perfect tour to book!

Maja was a fantastic tour guide!!! She was full of local knowledge and very friendly, warm and welcoming! I asked a ton of questions about the Serbian culture and she answered every one with a smile. We did the 4 hr tour and had plenty of food and drinks. My favorites were the morning coffee and the small local Rekija shop. :) It was great to meet local store owners and see places you probably wouldn’t look twice at as a tourist. Highly recommend this tour!

We are happy we could assist you in Belgrade. Much smiles from Food and Culture team
