About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- jessikatiffany0 contributionsFascinating look at BelgradeI am interested in Yugoslavian history and would consider myself a history buff so this kind of tour is already my cup of tea. But I found that it was my guide, Vladica, who made the tour exceptional. He was professional, warm, friendly, knowledgeable and honest. He was only a kid in Belgrade when the NATO bombings happened but his memories of the events set this tour apart from other tours. After all, I can google information about the bombings but getting first hand accounts are one of a kind. I think he provided an impartial account and description of events and the main players involved. If you are even remotely interested in history or politics then I would say this tour is essential.Written August 21, 2024
- Elizabeth V0 contributionsLearned about Serbia past and presentHad a wonderful day visiting the ruins of the palace of Emperor Galerius with our guide Miljan. Learned quite a bit about ancient and modern Serbia. The trip also allowed us to see the beautiful Serbian countryside. Would highly recommend this tour company to visitors to Serbia.Written July 28, 2024
- bwaldman0 contributionsOutstandingFirst of all, go to Serbia. It is beautiful, interesting, and welcoming. We definitely recommend you book with Serbian Private Tours. We had a fabulous 8 day trip. Everything was well planned, organized, but flexible. Our guide (Andrija) was everything you want - knowledgeable, easy to be with, went out of his way to be sure we were well taken care of, and a great driver which is important in Serbia. We are hoping to go back and will definitely use Serbian Private Tours again.Written June 7, 2024
- JeffCypress0 contributionsSuperb tour experienceThis was my second trip with Serbian Private Tours - I was keen to revisit after the first one last year. I actually did a combination of two day trips made into a three day/two night trip which was truly fantastic and the flexibility to plan something like this was greatly appreciated. The trip was superbly organised by the owner who is highly professional, has very good connections with all the suppliers en route to ensure that the guest has a good experience and chooses good guides if he can't do the trip himself. My guide for the three days was Vladica, a very charming and knowledgeable young man who could not have been more solicitous and was excellent company for the three days. On day one we says the monasteries at Zica and Studenica which are most impressive and interesting, so worthwhile. We had lunch at a lovely traditional restaurant and later had an overnight in Vrnjačka Banja, a lovely spa town. The next morning we visited the Imperial Palace of Gaius Valerius at Felix Romuliana and the associated museum in the nearby town of Zaječar which have a serious wow factor. We then drove to the wonderful Raj Winery (near Rajac) where we were royally entertained and enjoyed their fine wines before visiting the pivnice in the village above as well as the extraordinary cemetery. Overnight in Negotin and the next morning a wonderful motorboat trip on the Rhine, delicious lunch on land cooked by the captain's wife before setting off for the pre-historic settlement of Lepenski Vir with amazing artefacts from 6000 BC before our final stop at Golubac Fortress as fascinating and stunning castle on the Danube. Just a brilliant trip and I will certainly be using Serbian Private Tours again.Written June 1, 2024
- T1146ZHtiffanyl0 contributionsBest wine tour I've ever been on!We had the best private wine tour with Miljan! We booked the Fruska Gora Wine Tour and he was super responsive about booking times and dates. On the actual tour day itself, Miljan drove us to 4 different wineries (all beautiful and unique in their own way). We loved every winery not only for the quality of the wine, but the lovely ambiance and the interesting conversations we had with each winemaker. For lunch, we had a delicious authentic home-cooked meal, which felt like we were eating in someone's home, it was amazing! Miljan really went out of his way to make sure we had a fun and unique experience, and we really enjoyed his laid-back, funny, and informative tour style. It was actually our friend's 30th birthday and she said it was one of her most fun birthdays celebrated! Miljan also did an amazing job helping us document these memories, by taking candid photos of us throughout the day. I've been to countless wine regions in California (I'm from the United States) but this is by far, the most unique and beautiful wine tasting experience I've experienced, would highly highly recommend!!Written May 31, 2024
- 534sakshis0 contributionsHighly recommend this tourMy family and I had an amazing experience of this tour. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting Novi Sad and the Fruska Gora Monastry, and stopping for lunch at the Djurdjić winery was a highlight! Vladica was a warm and knowledgeable guide. We have left with lots of great memories of this trip.Written May 26, 2024
- Travelling_Puffin0 contributionsA Genuine Serbian Experience - Highly SuggestedSerbia was the 33th country we have visited in the world. We had really great time with Serbian Private Tours especially with Andrija who was our gude during the tour. The tour organization was easy and fast: Miljan took care of our request (sent by email) and properly adapt a tour to accomodate our requests, considering we have two kids. The itinerary was fantastic, and the explanations of Serbian Points of Interests and Serbian History was simply great. We had also lunch in a fantastic restaurant. This service it's highly suggested if you want to have a real genuine Serbian Experience. Thanks again Serbian Private Tours to welcoming us in such a way in our trip to Serbia!Written May 25, 2024
- R1916LSkristinm0 contributionsInformative and eye-opening tour - recommendedThis was a very informative tour, well worth doing. My guide Vladica was very kind, enthusiastic, knowledgable, had answers and explanations for every question, interesting local knowledge, relevant geopolitical & historical insights, and I learned a lot. The tour I went on was the Scars of NATO bombing in Belgrade. This tour is for anyone who wants to understand from a local perspective, what happened in Belgrade in 1999, where and how it happened, how the local community banded together, and see for themselves what the impact and severity was.Written May 19, 2024
- preritk20230 contributionsGreat Tour: Highly RecommendHighly recommend the 2 day Tara and Uvac tour. Our guide, Andrija, was not only very hospitable but also extremely knowledgeable. He shared facts and tidbits that spanned the history, socio-politics, natural sciences and culture of not just the region but Serbia and the Balkans as a whole. They are also well connected with great local food joints and hotels. It is well worth the time and cost to do the tour. I will gladly engage them again on my return. The sights of Tara and Uvac themselves are unforgettable. Seeing griffon vultures up close was a highlight and the forest and view in Tara was serene.Written April 19, 2024
- jbg740 contributionsGreat Tour Guide and TourI toured a Fruska Gora Monastery, Sremski Karlovski, and Novi Sad with Andrija. The monastery was beautiful. The town of Sremski Karlovsky is definitely worth a stop. It has interesting history and incredible local artists and wine shops. Novi Sad has a beautiful, historic downtown and cool fortress. This day trip would be a highlight for anyone visiting Serbia. Any tour you book with Serbian Private tours will be a great time. I will book with them again next time I am in Serbia.Written February 27, 2024
- jbg740 contributionsGreat Tour Guide!Miljan is a great tour guide and very interesting and knowledgeable person. I enjoyed seeing Viminacium and Smederovo Fortress. They aren't the most popular tourist sites in Serbia. If this is your first time in Serbia you may want to chose other more well known and popular ones. I really enjoyed seeing the steppe mammoth skeleton that was discovered in Viminacium. The WWII history around the Smederovo Fortress explosion in 1942 was interesting too. I highly recommend booking Miljan as a guide. I would rate Miljan and Serbian Private Tours Five Stars and the two sites I saw at Three Stars as they were enjoyable to me, but probably not the first choice for others.Written February 27, 2024

- YPM6130 contributionsVery professional and accommodating tourWe had a fantastic fay with Andrija our guide. Very punctual, spotless vehicle and a very cautious driver. He was great with our 6 and 7 year old children and very patient and accommodating as we made changes to their standard tour. I am very happy to recommend the company. Very professional especially as we only booked the tour the day prior.Written December 28, 2023

We took this tour on our first day in Belgrade and it was an excellent introduction to the city. Miljan adjusted the pace to suit the very hot conditions and gave us plenty of interesting information without overloading us. Highly recommend this tour.

What a great tour! Professional, informative and fun. Everything was organized from the beginning. The company reached out to me a couple of days before to confirm details and on the tour day, I was picked up from my hotel on time and in a comfortable car. This was the perfect introduction to Belgrade. Andrija showed the highlights of the city. He knew so much about the history of the area. He was able to adapt the itinerary and show the places I was interested in. I love that it was a customizable tour. Throughout the tour there were great recommendations on more places to explore on my own or just sit and relax. I would definitely do this tour again.

Our host driver was very prompt and courteous. He was very considerate of our needs when we asked for modifications to the normal agenda. At every place, he made sure to inform its significance and made sure to ask if we had any questions before continuing on.
We certainly recommend Belgrade Private City Tour to others.

We totally enjoyed spending the day with Milijan Miljevic. We saw all of Belgrade, but the highlights for me was the Church of Saint Sava....I am over seeing churches, but this one was so special. All the mosaic tiles used on the ceiling walls and floors was spectacular! and the House of flowers where Tito was buried. There was so much to see and Milijan was so informative.

Best way to see Serbia! Serbian private tours were fantastic in every way. Our guide Andrija and bus owner Stanko were amazing. So patient as we were a group of 17 including 7 kids!
They were so accomodating that they even let our kids have a dancing party on the bus! Kids loved it. Had the pleasure of meeting the owner Miljan once as well. Extremely well-informed and helpful.
Guys, use them if you ever plan on going to Serbia.

it was really a great experience to discover these historical sites with Miljan. he not only showed us damaged buildings, but together we had a real reflection on his attacks. He also shares with us his personal experience during this dark period. It's a really good ride. I highly recommend.

We did he tour with Dobri. We had a good time with him. He was informative and very patient with us. What is commendable is that he took us almost everywhere that we wanted to go whether it was to have a look at the local super market or to a souviner shop. He had carried his own camera and took lovely pics of us! That was a really nice touch apart from ofocurse sending us back with little souviners from his company. I would highly recommend their tours.

Our tour guide Vlada helped us through the city and had great knowledge about the city. The tour was flexible which was great since we had some requests (such as a beer break after lunch). Vlada also helped us with restaurants and tickets for the Belgrad football derby at a night. 5 stars!
