Came here when I wanted to taste some Romanian wine at last minute. I went on a Saturday so their regular tasting wasn’t available in the evening. It didn’t matter as the owner was super friendly and knowledgeable. He recommended a couple glasses of wine based on my taste profile. He was explaining the wine from various regions of Romania. Food menu was small but served its purpose of pairing with the wines. It was an enjoyable experience. Highly recommended if you enjoy wine. Romanian wines are underrated.

Such an adorable stop on my trip. The sommelier was phenomenal and the wines delicious. The pours were full, and the meat/cheese plate was filling and the entirety of the experience was worth it. I would 100% return on another trip to Bucharest.

Dorian is an amazing host!! He shared his knowledge in a way that made me feel comfortable because I do not know much about wine. Tasting the wine was a trip through România. Each wine tasted superb, with the final red absolutely amazing!! Abel’s is a relaxing place too. Thank you!!

Visited on a quiet Monday afternoon. The host was welcoming, despite us being the only people there. He was knowledgeable and informative. The wines were great (even the rosé!) and the charcuterie board was a nice added touch. In fact, we stayed on for another glass after. Can recommend highly.

Had a great time tasting give really good wines, all local to Romania, accompanied by plate of meats and cheeses.There were discussion materials on the grapes and regions and presented by very knowledgeable and personable staff in great ambience.

We wandered down here one evening during our week stay in Bucharest and ended up going back 2 more times. We tried several wines as well as the cheese platter and the mixed cheese and meat platter. Dario was very good about suggesting what might be a good choice of wine and encouraging us to try some different ones. A very relaxed spot away from the party streets but not too far! Definitely worth a visit or 2 or 3!

It was nice to get to taste and learn about the local wines, got to try a rose, two white and two red. The staff were very knowledgeable about the regions. Abels is easy to get to and is a lovely relaxing place

Brilliant experience from start to finish - really knowledgeable about the wines and as we did this on the first day we had a good knowledge for the rest of our stay in Romania. Really good selection of meat and cheese served. Definitely worth the money.

Don't miss out on this hidden gem in the Old City of Bucharest. Dario put together a wine tasting that consisted of 5 different Romanian wines...all were amazing! We enjoyed the wines, the shop and Darios' knowledge of Romanian wines so much that we went back a second time on our trip!
