Totally professional & not a single complaint.
Spent 8 days on a private tour with company owner Daniel serving as driver & tour guide & we were totally pleased. He met us in Budapest & we drove to Timisoara, Sighisoara, Sibiu, Brasov & on to Bucharest. He included several areas that large group tours miss & he gladly customized the travel to our specific preferences. He also included a couple of very special visit options that I won't divulge, so his future clients will be as equally impressed as we were. Enjoyed this introduction to Romania enough that we plan to return & will, without hesitation, engage the services of Daniel & Covinnus again.

6 hour walking and public transport tour to show you the real life of Bucharest
We did a 6 hour walking and public transport tour of Bucharest with Valentina, she was brilliant! It turned out we were the only couple on the tour so it was essentially a private trip. The company could have chosen to cancel the trip but didn't, so full marks to them for that. Valentina was knowledgeable and passionate about the city and her country and was happy to answer all our questions. The trip took us to some places used by the residents of Bucharest and didn't focus on just on the usual tourist spots. A highly recommended tour if you want to see and understand the real Bucharest

          Great Tour and Guide
We used Covinnus Travel for the Transylvania portion of our trip to Romania. Daniel who is the owner and our guide did a great job of putting together a custom itinerary that hit the sites and areas that we wanted to see. We don't usually use a tour company for Europe, however we felt with the time we had and the things we wanted to do and see, it would be best. Daniel did not disappoint he is very knowledgeable and knows all the best spots for some great photos. I would highly recommend Covinnus Travel if you are planning a trip to Romania.

Exceptional Tour Company--Don't look any further!
This week-long tour with Daniel has made me realize how much can be gained by using an excellent local guide when traveling. Daniel provided extraordinary value by his extensive knowledge of the country, its history, politics, culture. His long experience permitted us to visit (and understand) not just the major tourist attractions but little known and fascinating additional places and experiences. Of course, simple knowledge is a bare minimum for a decent guide. What made the experience with Daniel superlative is his enthusiasm for ensuring that we had the best experience possible for an entire week. That meant that he was flexible in the schedule, changing as necessary (weather, preferences, new requests), and totally responsive to what our interests were and confirming we were doing what we wanted to as the day went on (he added in a beautiful hike since we told him we wanted more nature). As long as we weren’t tired, he was willing to add more to our agenda and extend his already long day to add special sites (he took us for a visit with the owner of an obscure but fascinating water mill still operating after 200 years). He did all that while telling stories, talking about his own life and viewpoints, laughing and enjoying our company and keeping us entertained, while staying polite, patient, and accommodating. A tough recipe for a week but he pulled it off. Oh, and he is a talented photographer who is willing to share his photos during the trip, as well as give advice about taking photos and how to edit them! You get more than your money’s worth for booking a custom-designed trip with Daniel!

Very informational, practical, and full of different places to see. From the city centre to the northern part, this is the best
Valentina was a super gem 💎 of a person. I was lucky to just be the only tourist. Even if I was born in Bucharest, I don't remember a lot of things from my childhood. Valentina was good. We visited: Dimitrie Gusti" National Village Museum (Muzeul Național al Satului "Dimitrie Gusti") The Romanian Athenaeum (Ateneul Român) . We walked a bit but it was enjoyable. I felt she was someone I know. She has so much knowledge about so many things. I tried Mititei the Romanian traditional food, that according to Wikipedia is grilled ground meat in a cylindrical shape. I was impressed with the history of Romania, as a person that lives outside of Romania, it's like going back to my roots and I was impressed. I cannot recommend it enough.

          Outstanding Romania tour with Covinnus
Covinnus Travel delivered an outstanding experience in our tour of Romania. Our tour guide Daniel was personable and solicitous, working with our limitations. We learned so much from him about Romanian history, culture, and religion. He had an encyclopedic knowledge of all of it. And we had lots of laughs together. Each stop had its own special charm. And I found myself saying "oh, wow!" so many times as we toured castles, churches, music halls, villages, a salt mine, and cemeteries. Highly recommend Covinnus Travel for touring Eastern Europe.

          Wonderful Experience
We recently returned from the Countryside of Romania tour with Daniel. The tour and the country of Romania exceeded our expectations. It was truly wonderful. Before the tour Valentina got back to us with any questions or concerns we had in a very timely manner. After we got there when the tour started we met Daniel and he introduced us to Romania. It's a beautiful country, the people are friendly and Daniel was a wonderful tour guide. He took us places and showed us things we would never have been able to see on our own. We stayed in extremely nice accommodations, Meeting some of the people was a highlight, the potters, miller, a Roma family to name a few. We came back with great memories and pictures with Daniel's help. We have already shared our great experience with some of our friends and hope to do some additional touring with Covinnus Tours in the future.

We had a fabulous tour with Daniel! He was incredibly knowledgeable and honest about his country and its history. I wish we had more time in town. Would have definitely booked additional time with him. Please don't hesitate to book Daniel for any of tours! You'll be impressed. :-)

          Wonderful tour the city
As a fairly new tour this was a great find for us - it really was an authentic tour of Bucharest! Daniel and Valentina were fantastic guides, super knowledgeable, warm and friendly. We had a great day with them. The tour was wonderfully paced and a perfect balance of activities - sightseeing, an opportunity for shopping, lunch with locals as well as the opportunity to experience crossing the city using various forms of public transport (helpful for building our confidence in getting around). It offered a wealth of authentic experiences that took us away from the crowded tourist trails. Highlights for us were The Village Museum, spending time around Obor market and walking through various areas of Bucharest learning more about the city’s fascinating history. We’d definitely recommend this tour and thank Daniel and Valentina at Covinnus for being such excellent hosts.

          Just awesome
Apart from submitting ratings, I hardly take any time to write detailed reviews. But, here I couldn't stop myself. If I could, I would have given 6 stars. So, to compensate I am giving the extra here ⭐. The best tour I ever had !! With such great humor, professionalism, and friendly nature, Daniel made our 6 hour walking tour an unforgettable & memorable experience that I would always cherish. I was lucky enough to get the private tour with him. We laughed and cracked jokes (like friends) while he was describing the monument's significance and also explaining the history in pretty detail which at no point felt boring. Highly recommend 👍👍

          Christmas Market of Eastern Europe
My friends and I went on the Christmas Markets of Eastern Europe Tour- 9 days. The trip was fabulous from start to finish. Daniel made our experience wonderful. The booking process was easy and Daniel answered any question we had in a timely manner. It was very reasonably priced and the hotels were conveniently located and had 4 star ratings. It was a private, cultural tour that included 5 Christmas markets. Daniel taught us so much history of Hungary and Romania. There wasn't a question he couldn't answer. I highly recommend this tour.

OUTSTANDING Christmas Markets Tour of Hungary and Romania
4 friends and I went on the Christmas Markets of Eastern Europe Tour, from December 4 through December 12, 2022. The itinerary was excellent and had us traveling through Hungary and Romania, starting in Budapest and ending in Bucharest. We explored these cities thoroughly on foot and learned a tremendous amount about the history, culture, political environment, architecture, and food of the 2 countries from our very knowledgeable guide, Daniel. We also had excellent experiences at the Christmas markets in these 2 cities. In between, we traveled by van through Romania, admiring stunning mountain scenery and picturesque villages and numerous beautiful Christmas markets along the way. The tour was a private one and Daniel was with us from the time he picked us up at the airport in Budapest until he dropped us at the airport in Bucharest. He had a lot to do with making the tour exceptional because of his outstanding knowledge, professional and friendly manner, and motivation to make sure each of us had an exceptional travel experience. The accommodations were excellent and the cost very reasonable. I highly recommend this tour and Covinnus Travel, Ltd.

Daniel was a fantastic guide! We had a great day with Daniel seeing both Bran and Peles Castles, with a wonderful lunch in the old town of Brasov in between. We chose the private tour, giving time to ask questions along the way and it was an easy, fun day. Daniel’s great knowledge of Romanian history and interesting stories about the historic sites really enriched the tour. From booking online to being collected from and dropped back to our hotel, it couldn’t have been easier. Can’t recommend highly enough!

Corvinnus Travel, with Daniel Gheorghita as our guide, whisked us from the tumult of Bucharest into the pastoral pleasures and histories of Empires that is the heart of Romania. From the rich agricultural and industrial plains of Wallachian prosperity our comfortable 7-day private tour revealed bucolic alpine villages, medieval church fortresses, whimsical castles and the many natural wonders of Transylvania and the Moldovan District.

Daniel spoke excellent English. His polymath erudition of historic conquests, religious iconography, conflicting political convulsions, economic influences, rural traditions and current affairs was always entertaining, informative and compassionate.

Traveling on narrow winding backroads through the Carpathian Mountains we were impressed by Daniel’s smooth driving skills and attention to safety. He often slowed or stopped when possible for us to take photos of anything that captured our interest… and we took thousands of photos! Each night was spent in a comfortable small hotel, local inn or guesthouse.

After 20 years of guiding visitors in Romania, Daniel knows where to go for some of the finest dining, so each meal was a pleasure. He was kind, and always sensitive to our needs. We highly recommend Corvinnus Travel and Daniel Gheorghita for any extended photographic tour of Romania!
