- lalitnjha0 contributionsFantastic and simply the best!Ion Dima/the guide is the best one till date I cam across in Europe as I explored most of the countries in Europe. Ion Dima of Romania Tour Store is very knowledgeable guy and simply the best! He designed our itinerary to suit our interest, weather and available time. He is very friendly to kids and adult as well. He has highest level of patient and at the same time he is professional. I would say if someone want to explore Romania then Ion is the best guy and you can believe him for any and everything. He has suggested the Hotels and Restaurants during our tours which was the best as per our budget and interest. During the complete tour he was as our family member and friend. Salut and thank you Ion for everything!Written February 20, 2023
- T3636NXmarya0 contributionsTour with IonIon was terrific, a very kind guy, and he was very patient with us; he took us to incredible places. He changed the plan for us because it was Christmas's second day, and most of the tourist places were closed, so he suggested places for us, and we had so much fun together.Written December 26, 2022

- JIT_120 contributionsIon Dima...a great tour guide! This review is very tardy due to the situation in the world from January 2020 until now. I was so fortunate to have found Ion Dima during my planning of a visit to Romania which was during the summer of 2019.( I had to enter 12/21 in the description since that was the oldest date available.) I had several days to fill in with a visit to important points of interest in Romania before I joined a group in Bucharest. The group and I were heading into Moldova, Transnistria, and Ukraine. We were only doing the Danube Delta down on the Black Sea and I didn't want to miss seeing something of Romania. Well, Ion designed a terrific tour for me that was very complete! He speaks perfect English and was very considerate and great fun to be around. I highly reccommend arranging a tour with Ion...he's the best!!Written November 19, 2022
- DollyBirdScotland0 contributionsBespoke serviceWe are just back from an extended tour of Romania with Romania Tour Stores. It's a bespoke travel company which specialises in private tours for culture vultures. From Bucharest's Belle Epoq architecture we travelled to the cultural centre of Iasi, the painted monasteries of Moldavia, and through the fortified Saxon churches and towns of Transylvania. Finally, we arrived in the stunning city of Brasov in the Carpathians where the Austro-Hungarian influence sits on the edge of Wallachia and Byzantium. Grand hotels and traditional wooden cabins. Each day felt like being in a different age or country. A superbly organised tour of this fascinating country. We are planning a return visit next year.Written September 28, 2022
- peaceloveandgelato0 contributionsBellissima Romania! We did the 2 days Transylvania tour with the manager himself Ion, who made this trip a remarkable one! He was very kind, very informative, he explained everything in a very comprehensive language. We learned many things about Romania from him. He made us feel comfortable during the whole trip, even though we were most of the time late whenever we would come back from the free time he would give us😅 He would also recommend us good place to have a taste of the traditional Romanian food. We stayed in Sighisoara during the night and the place he chose was exceptional! And even after the Transylavnia tour was finished he would give us tips and suggestions on what to see and do in other places we would visit without him. I definitely recommend his tours and hopefully we can do again another tour with him someday..one dayWritten July 27, 2022
- cassiel3180 contributionsGreat tour in RomaniaMy family took a guided tour with Ion Dima and we were so impressed with him and the beautiful country. It was our first time in Romania and we were able to see and learn so much more because of our guide. His English and knowledge of Romania were both incredible and we highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to immerse themselves in Romanian culture. We loved it!Written June 2, 2022
- Sandra F0 contributionsEXCELLENT GUIDE IN A WONDERFUL COUNTRYIon Dima started to assist us as our guide, even before we actually traveled. He helped us prepare our itinerary according to what we would prefer to visit and helped us with suggestions for other places. During our 9 day private tour through the country, he was always present, helping us at all times, telling us about the history of the country and its sights. Besides, he speaks good English and was always in a very good mood.Written October 9, 2021

- queenrmp0 contributionsExcellent tourMy boyfriend and I went on a search for the real Dracula with Ion. At first we didn’t know it was a personal tour and we didn’t know if we had to pack stuff to leave in a bus, car etc with other people. I was so excited to know it was a personal tour. No worries about leaving things behind in a vehicle while exploring. Ion was very informative and he was very knowledgeable about Romanian history. There were a few stops and we ate a lunch next to the Poenari castle. I was a bit worried about the 1400 steps at the castle since I have problems with asthma and the cold(it was December). But there was no rush on how fast we trekked up the stairs. He didn’t even seem to mind that I had Dante my plushie with me!Written February 25, 2020
- guest10120180 contributionsSpectacular Experience! Private Tour of TransylvaniaThe best way to see the country! The wife and I were very happy with our experience using Romania Tour Store and with our tour guide Angelica. We consider ourselves somewhat experienced travelers having been to over 20 countries. This was the first time in Romania, and the first time booking a private tour. It has completely changed how we will plan future travels based on that extraordinary experience. What a experience! This is an extremely flexible, especially stress free, and outstanding way to see Romania. The tour package was all inclusive from picking up at the airport, hotels, transportation etc. We booked at probably one of the most difficult seasons, being Christmas/New Years with many places closed down, and hotels at full capacity. Romania Tours and Angelica made magic happen to make our experience as enjoyable as possible. My advice, book with Romania tours, pick a private tour if you can and ask for Angelica. Angelica was a very personable tour guide, that devoted herself to making sure everything was the best it could be. She made great restaurant and food recommendations based on what we wanted to try. She was extremely knowledgeable, and not just about the tours being booked. She is well versed in current and historical aspects of Romania and all the things to do within the country. Also importantly she knew all the insider information to try to get us into places that may be closed at a certain time or day or finding other off the list activities should time allow. She even followed up after the tour ended to translate a souvenir inscription purchased at the end of the tour. We plan to book more private tours in the future based on how well this went and future tour operators will have high standards to live up to. We will be recommending to friends and family to take a tour of Romania and choose a private tour with Romania Tours.Written January 11, 2020
- C4320FJelizabethp0 contributionsAmazing tour of RomaniaI would strongly recommend this tour of Romania, as well as Ion as a guide. We were on the five day tour of Transylvania and Ion kept us captivated the whole time with everything he showed us and talked to us about. The tour was technically about Dracula, and Ion talked to us at length about Vlad Tepes. Even if you are not interested in the mythological creature of Dracula, there was a lot of history about Vlad the Impaler. All of the castles were unique and very interesting in their own ways with lots of their own history. We also stopped in nice towns with their own sights which Ion gave us recommendations about after showing us around. Besides the towns and castles, there were many beautiful sights along the way. As a guide, Ion was very adaptive to what we were looking for. We generally try to explore everything we can while traveling, so he showed us different places and was extremely flexible to let us see everything. If we wanted to pull over somewhere, he would try his best to do it. Once he understood what we might be interested in, he tried to include that in the rest of the trip. He was also very responsive to questions. Overall, Ion made my trip to Romania a very memorable experience and I would recommend it to anyone looking to see the country.Written January 9, 2020
- Reaver820 contributionsVlad the Impaler tourNormally I’m not one to write reviews, but this was an excellent tour with an excellent guide. Ion was very knowledgeable of Vlad Tepes, the history of his times, and knowledgeable of pretty much any and every question My girlfriend and I could throw at him. He was a wealth of information and we were grateful to have him as a guide. The sites themselves are essentially ruins, but if you love history like I do then that should matter very little. I was captivated throughout the whole trip. I would definitely recommend to anyone in search of the REAL Dracula.Written December 9, 2019
