About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Climber630924701570 contributionsPahova Salt Mines and SERVE Winery, Chictura , RomaniaA day with Petre today in our trip to the salt mine in Prahova and the SERVE Winery in Chictura, both in Romania was immensely satisfying. Petre's easy going nature and the knowledge of the places made our trip into an amazing experience. The seven hours with him brought out some interesting exchanges of knowledge and experience. I would highly recommend the services of Petre for those planning to visit Romania. We for sure plan to be back in Sep 2025 and will visit some other places which we missed out with Petre around. Thank you Petre. Stsy blessed.Written August 23, 2024
- Relax6775820 contributionsA must-see attraction!AMAZINGLY HUGE! The salt mine was nothing like I had expected because I had not seen any photos prior to visiting. They drive you deep into the mountain in a van. When you walk into the mine itself, you are free to roam around as long as you wish. It is a huge place with beautiful patterns in the salt walls and ceilings. There is a small gift shop (if they used their imaginations a bit more, there are a lot of items they could sell, but it is limited to mostly cooking seasonings. That is quite disappointing.),cafes, and lots of places for kids to play. It is quite different from any other salt mine that I have been in before. It is a very popular attraction and a must-see if you are in the area.Written June 24, 2024
- Kashkin0 contributionsUnrealistic and GiantI was really surprised these salt mines were built by humans. Giant area inside rocks 120m under the surface. Good place to walk, sport, rest. Fantastic atmosphereWritten January 16, 2024
- bala t0 contributionsWeekend at BucharestVisited Bucharest during May, with a few friends. Weekend trip with mates, beats the expectation. So much do during the day and so much more to offer during the night. If feels like the old town never sleeps. We lived very central, about few mins walk from the old town. City has a lot to see, we didn't try to do too much, Took it very easy and covered a lot of main places by foot. Old town streets were buzzing even at 2am midnight. Lots of youngsters, will make you feel older :-) If you have time, wander out for a day trip to the famous dracula castle, hotel Transylvania. Won't be disappointed.Written March 2, 2023
- Anette M0 contributionsAn excellent walk through old town with a knowledgable young guideWe met at the fountains; piatsa unirii under the big clock. Ancha the guide gave us a short introduction to the history of Rumania and Bucharest. We learnt that 80% of the population belong to the Orthodox Chruch and that there are over 300 churches in Bucharest. Some of the churches were moved or destroyed during Ceaucescu time as well as apartment blocks to give space for his grand plans for the city. She showed us Manucs and Cara cu bere. It was good to get to know these places to come back for a good meal. She also gave us personal information how it is to live i Rumania today. The tour can be recommened.Written September 14, 2019
- sh0tzz990 contributionsGreat Wines and ConversationAfter an initial hiccup where the tour guide misunderstood the meeting time, we managed to reschedule with Anamaria. Since we had already been in Bucharest for a week and already did a long tour of old town, we asked her to take us directly to the wine bar and talk about the wines and the regions. She is very knowledgeable about that and Romanian history. We ended up having a fantastic time just sitting in the wine bar and talking about history and many other things. We had a great time, the cheese board was excellent, and the wines were fantastic too. The 4 rating is only because of the misunderstanding for the initial tour. Our experience would have been different if we had done this at the beginning of our trip as originally planned. Though we still very much enjoyed it.Written September 9, 2019
- Xan S0 contributionsA nice walk, but wear flat comfy shoes!Ana our tour guide was fantastic. Gave us lots of history and even gave me information about Romanian music that wasn't part of the tour, I just wanted to go record shopping! I wish I could remember the name of the cafe where we had lemonade, but I highly recommend the strawberry lemonade! The old city center of Bucharest is stone paved, so wear comfy shoes. The stones are sometimes loose, and you will be miserable if you just wear flats or flip flops.Written June 9, 2019
- PolarisIL0 contributionsPoor and old citySeems like the city is stuck somewhere in the 80's or something. As the building were built at some point, nobody has been taking care of them since then. Except a few nice buildings once in a while, this is not a place to visit. Unpleasent, dirty, crumbling.Written September 17, 2018
- dennis y0 contributionsLeisurely walkA great time to be had! A nice, leisurely stroll, seeing all the new places coming up, the new happenings, yet reflecting back on how things were a long time ago.Written July 7, 2018
