An Excellent Bucharest Overview

This whistle stop long day tour really does give a full insight to Bucharest and Romania as a whole. The Romanian village stop brings the rural Romania aspect to you, literally, and provides a little rushed but informative outlook on Romanian life. Leaving the city centre, you visit a monetary, impressive and historic. Then off to the car collection, was not really fussed about this element until we got there, really very impressive and worth the visit. Then it’s the palaces and the Parliament Palace tour, an essential visit re-enforcing the historic/communism aspects already covered by Mihai our guide during the tour. It is a full 8-9 hours so arrive fresh. Lunch in a local restaurant was perfect for atmosphere and quality of local food. Mici is a must try if you like sausage. You will need cash for all entrance fees and lunch in addition to tour price. Budget for around an on the day total of 200 Lei or £36 per person including lunch. A very worthwhile trip if visiting Romania for the first time. Our guide recommended 2 local restaurants for local food, we tried both of them, and both were excellent. Thank you Mihai. BeLu.

Very professional and accommodating guide

We have done many private tours in areas scattered throughout the world and our experience with Mihai of I Travel in Romania has never been surpassed. That said, Covid interfered with our trip, and to date, we have not yet taken it.

Mihai worked with us to design a two-week trip that hit the highlights of Romania. He took into consideration our love of the countryside and walking and made appropriate plans. He incorporated the opportunity to kayak in the Danube Delta and adjusted his suggested itinerary to meet our expectations. He provided us with a choice of hotels at each location.

Answers to our questions came in a very timely manner and the responses always met with our approval.

Mihai fully refunded our deposit which was especially appreciated. We do hope to travel to Romania without too much delay and we will certainly seek out the services of I Travel in Romania.

Mihai is an incredible guide with a great knowledge of his city, providing details of the Romanian History and with an awesome conversation. Me, as a Mexican, felt I was hanging even with a friend. There was no rush and very comfortable and secure his driving. Highly recommended if you wanna see the musts in a full day. Yeah!

Good overview of Bucharest

Mihai is a very good tour guide. He was able to give the correct amount of information so that it was not overwhelming but still learned a lot. The places visited were as advertised, so you can expect to see all the places with a nice amount of time at each. He is a very safe driver. There is flexibility as it is private.

Wonderful Tours

In Travel in Romania provided my with a wonderful Tour. I was lucky enough to have the guide to myself during my tour. The guide was extremely knowledgeable about Romanian history. He was Friendly and enthusiastic. I was with him the whole day, we chatted about the places I would explore and about Romania in general. He was good company and made the day happy and relaxed. I also found I Travel in Romania tour a very good company, helpful and professional. I would definitely recommend booking a tour with them.

Fabulous Private Tour of Bucharest

We booked our tours through Mahai, the owner of the company. Mahai contacted me before we left Seattle to let me know our pick up times at the Radisson Blu in Bucharest for his tour of 'Bucharest and Beyond' on our first day. He told us he had a conflict on the day of the tour to Transylvania so had arranged for his friend and fellow guide, Dan, manager of a local hotel, to be our guide and driver for that tour.
Both gentlemen were a wealth of knowledge, not only about the county's history but also of the social/economics of the country as it was affected under communism and subsequently a democratic society. We learned a lot.
Both gentlemen were excellent drivers and the restaurants they selected during our tours served superb Romanian dishes. Mahai took us to a lakeside restaurant called Two Lakes - Two Brothers for lunch, located north of Bucharest .Dan took us to Le Ceaun on Council Square in Brasov after touring Bran and Peles Castles. Both were excellent. We enjoyed our visit to Romania and would like to return someday to venture further with either Mahai or Dan. Thanks to you both for a wonderful tour.

Fantastic Romania and Tour Operator

It was our first visit to Romania and we were so happy that we chose this tour operator.
Mihai is an absolute professional and was in constant communication with us during our planning stage. He assigned a guide, Stefan, to do a Bucharest city and Brazov castles tour for us. Stefan is an incredible guide and terrific person. He was very knowledgeable and took care of my 13 year old like a doting uncle. Our appreciation of Romania was enriched because of him. We felt totally safe and secure in his care throughout the tour.

For all of you planning to visit Romania, look no further. I checked several agencies before booking with them. They are totally worth it and highly recommended. Thanks Mihai and Stefan for the wonderful memories!

Solo traveller
This was my first tour in Romania and it was amazing, Mihai was very friendly and easy to get along with,being a solo traveller it is important to have a guide that has the ability to recognise the points of particular interest to me and cater to those points, Mihai was excellent at that,we had a fantastic and very interesting and informative tour of the city and beyond and Mihai was able to answer all my questions without an difficulties, he also recommended some great restaurants to me and offer further help at any point during mu stay if needed. I would recommend him 100% and look forward to returning to Romania next year.
