Very enjoyable day. Definitely worth climbing the 140 steps of the mosque minaret to see the the view of the Black Sea. Walking along the gigantic beach in Mamaia and finding shells was my favorite part of the day

Fun and educational trip to see the old port city of Constanta and Mamaia beach. We met our awesome guide Marius at another hotel which was roughly a 10 minute walk from mine. Marius spoke perfect English and gave a very in-depth history of the ancient port city and the its importance in Romania's history. Once we arrived at Constanta we walked around city a stopped by a few of the old churches and a synagogue which had a tower that you could climb to see the entire city and modern port. We then visited a nice history museum which contained lots of local artifacts (mostly Roman) and then checked out a big Roman mosaic which is situated right next to the museum. After our museum tour we headed to Mamaia beach on the Black Sea. Overall a very nice, educational tour for those interested getting away from Bucharest and seeing the Black Sea as well as learning about the ancient history of Romania.

From the time of pick up to the time of drop off our driver Rasmin was knowledgeable, courteous, and thoughtful. Our trip on 22 Aug 2019 was anything but as you describe above. It is Romania's favorite holiday destination and between Bucharest and Constanta the complete population of Romania was there. It was an experience we enjoyed. There were 4 English speaking Canadians and our driver provided an excellent review of not only this day trip but information on the country and the various leaders over the years. I would highly recommend this trip to first time, Romanian visitors.

We shared the tour with 4 other people whose 1st language wasn’t English. This meant I got to speak a lot with our tour guide Razvan who shared a lot about Romania and his life while we were driving. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. Our whole purpose was to see the Black Sea and we did at both places and stood in the water at the beach at Mamaia. We enjoyed the museum, wandering the old town in Constanta. If the government ever finishes restoring The Casino, the tour will be even better. In Mamaia, it was nice to see where Romanians would go for a local beach holiday.

We were lucky enough to have a private tour for the day since no-one else booked the trip the day we went. Angelica was our driver / guide. She had good English and was very knowledgeable about the area and history. It was a most enjoyable day.

I'm not a huge fan of beach towns, but I definitely wanted to see the Black Sea. This tour was perfect - not too much beach walking/sitting, lots of history, and we had a gorgeous day! Paul was very nice even though we fell asleep on the way back! Learning about the Romanian attempts at tourism was fascinating, and sad that the residents don't use this town more! The museums were fascinating, and Paul gave great history lessons.

The old town and seaport area is actually beautiful. But don't bother going up the coast to "beach" area. It reminds me of Santa Cruz, CA. In talking to our guide and others you would be better off going to "Dracula's" castle as the scenery is better.

We used Trip Advisor reviews to select this tour. We were taking a River Cruise to Amsterdam, and wanted to make the entire vacation from the Black Sea to the North Sea. Paul was our tour guide and he gave us an exceptional experience. He drove us to Constanta in just over 2 hours which went by quickly as he entertained us with information and storied about Romania and Constanta. We spent about 2 and 1/2 hours visiting 3 museums where Paul talked us through the highlights of each museum and the old Casino - and we were able to briefly wade in the Black Sea. Instead of going to Mamaia, Paul agreed to give us a guided tour of Bucharest City Center. We walked around old town for about an hour where Paul explained the history of the key sights. Overall, an amazing tour and a most enjoyable day. Paul is a great driver, conversationalist and tour guide.
