About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- absoluteatlas0 contributionsPeles Castle, Brasov and Dracula CastleBus ride was on time and very comfortable Peles castle visit was rushed and crowded because many tour groups were there. I would have liked to visit the castle for a longer time without t so much crowding to appreciate the history. Brasov visit was relaxed with plenty of time to walk around the old town area. Dracula Castle was crowded but very interesting. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and well organized.Written September 6, 2024
- Fubarman0 contributionsPalace to DraculaDani was a firm yet fair host who explained things well with a good sense of humour. Hard work managing a coach load of tourists.Just don't be late back to the coach...You have been warned lol From a personal perspective I would have preferred more time at Peles Castle and less time in Brasov but that is not a reflection on Dani it was the nature of the trip booked. Would I recommend this trip, absolutely yesWritten September 6, 2024

His insight into Romanian culture was worth the trip alone. The castles were interesting and Brasov was beautiful! Thank you Alex - 11/10, highly recommend this trip to anyone!Written September 4, 2024
- AmiThiam0 contributionsRecommended tourDe tour was very well guided by Emmanuel. Pelece Castle was the most beautiful castle we've seen in person. We were in awe. Our guide told us a lot of interesting facts about the castle. At every stop we got some time (10/20 minutes) to walk around. Brasov was really colorful and beautiful. We were very glad we got some extra time there to eat something and explore this beautiful gem. We were a bit dissapointed by Bran Castle. There wasn't much to see there and even though Emanuel warned us to not get our expectations up too high, we tought this would be the highlight of the tour. Two days later we did the bear tour and our guide told us that Bran castle was a tourist-trap. The real Dracula castle is Poenari Castle where Vlad lived.. This was a bit dissapointing to hear. Nevertheless we really enjoyed the day. It was a long but fulfilled experience. Would recommend it.Written August 24, 2024

- Jane59650 contributionsGreat day even with delays! We spent day travelling to peles castle, Braşov, & Draculas castle with Alex the tour guide and the bus driver. Alex was very informative & entertaining. He was very upfront explaining that the trip could take longer than the 12 hours due to traffic. Even with the long delays and some passengers complaining Alex stayed calm & a lot more tolerant than I would have been. The driver was great we felt very safe with him. All of the destinations that we stopped at were explained in great detail. Everything was so beautiful to look at -it was like something out of a fairy tale. Restaurants were recommended in Braşov for lunch that were delicious & fast. There were 2 toilet stops, plus the 3 stops at points of interest. The trip home was long with delays due to accident-but that was no one’s fault & Alex did the best that they could have possibly done under the circumstances! Alex & driver were lovely we appreciated all the information they shared! A bonus was meeting so many other fellow travellers!Written August 2, 2024

- F7448UAsharonw0 contributionsAmazing and eventful day trip!Amazing day trip! Our guide Bogdan was fantastic. We met at the meeting point at University Square. Where we started off at 7.30am. The scenery and views were breath taking travelling through the Romanian mountains and towns. On the way to Peles Castle we were told to pay on the coach in advance to skip the queue. Unfortunately we did not have any cash on us and we weren't able to pay by card and there was no ATM so we were unable to go inside the castle but we had a nice time walking around the grounds so please be aware to take some cash with you as we were not aware of this. We then travelled to Brasov and we had an hour walking around the square where we tried some Romanian Cheese Doughnuts called Papanasi which were delicious. From here we travelled to Bran Castle. We spent time walking around the inside and the outside the many rooms and steps. From there we made our journey back to the capital which was very eventful! We had very heavy rain, thunder and lightening and not one but three trees had fallen in the road causing us to be stuck on the coach for quite a long time. Once we had started moving we had an emergency pit stop at a petrol station to use their facilities which was a godsend. Overall it was a very long day due to these circumstances but Bogdan was very attentive, informative and made light heart of the situation plus it made for an even more memorable trip! I would highly recommend this trip. Thank you Bogdan and the wonderful coach driver.Written August 1, 2024
- Doug K0 contributionsGood tour but may be a very long dayIt's a good tour, and Alex was a great guide. The three main stops were all very different and worthwhile. However you do spend a lot of time on a large bus with no working toilet. They make stops, but these can be lengthy when there are 45 passengers queuing for one toilet and another similar bus gets there shortly beforehand! And if you're unlucky with the traffic like we were (we didn't get back to Bucharest until well after midnight), you may be crossing your legs a lot.Written August 1, 2024
- mv2asu20000 contributionsIt’s an ok tour for a very fast visitWell organized tour. but our guide bogdan was hard to understand with his English. He spoke very fast as well which made it hard to understand. Also I know it’s a long day tour but the stops are a bit rushed to see much. Overall it’s a good tour for a very Quick Look at each stop.Written July 19, 2024
- madisonsR3439LR0 contributionsTour time not as advertisedThis tour was meant to return to Bucharest at 7:30pm. However, we were told once already on the tour that we would actually return somewhere between 9pm-5am, which was drastically different than advertised and caused issue for us as we had an international train to catch that evening. Due to this, we had to leave the tour early at Bran Castle and find/pay for our own 4 hour return journey, to Bucharest, which included two taxis and a train. This forced us to spend more than double the original amount spent on the tour. The only option we were given was to leave the tour at the time we were told this information, after the tour had already begun, and were told we would not receive a refund if we did so. Would not recommend!Written July 16, 2024
- Prestonbabs0 contributionsWell organised tripWell organised tour. Our guide, Pavel was really helpful and informative. I found Peles castle more interesting than Dracula’s but glad we visited both. Bravos is a cute little town and we can recommend eating Sarmale at La Ceaun.Written July 10, 2024

The itinerary of the trip was very well prepared, however, the guide / driver (Mauricius) was very bad. He was rude, drove in a dangerous way, include using his mobile while driving and reaching excessive speed (167km / h). The church and the Biertan museum were closed and for that reason we arrived at least 1h earlier than expected in Sibiu. However, the guide refused to give us the time corresponding to the activities not carried out, behaving rudely in this regard. In Sibiu, he didn’t even inform us about the orthodox basilica, a must-see monument.

I ve chosen the 2 days Transylwania tour and it was a great decision. The itinerary was very well planned and the whole trip perfectly organised which allowed us to see a lot of beautiful places in just 2 days. Our guide Marius was very professional and knowledgeable. He is very passionate about Romanian history and willing to share his knowledge with tourists. He is also friendly and tells the stories in a funny way so we had lots of fun during the whole trip.

We used this company twice whilst on our mini break to Romania and without exception both experiences were outstanding. We have travelled the world and always use local guides to enhance our understanding of the country and culture. We can honestly say that our guide Marius who we had for both trips was one of the best we have ever had. He tailored our trip to our personalities and made it enjoyable whilst maintaining a good pace so we could get the most from our trips. There was no sales patter or trips to local shops forced on us just good honest tours. My ill informed opinion of Romania and its people was changed almost immediately once I arrived in Bucharest and experienced them for myself.

We combined this two day tour with another day trip to Constanta. Marius was our tour guide and driver for all three days, and was informative, entertaining and great company!
Peles Castle was amazing. So much wonderful history and fabulous rooms. We got there very early and avoided the crowds, which was much nicer.
Brasov was a nice place to stop for lunch. Lots of tasty looking options, and we had a traditional Romanian meal at “Ceanul” (the cauldron).
Bran Castle was smaller than Peles, but also lovely. Really interesting to see.
The overnight stay was in Hotel Bulevard in Sighisoara. A lovely little family run hotel and restaurant with good value and tasty food.
The second day we did a walking tour of Sighisoara, which was interesting too, then headed to Sibiu and had lunch there, then drove back to Bucharest.
On the final day, we did a day trip to Constanta, where there are some lovely churches and a mosque with fab views. The museum is excellent, showing a great range of artefacts from all eras. We went to the beach afterwards. It was out of season so not much to see but we had a lovely walk on the beach.
Marius came round the castles and museums with us and was really knowledgeable and interesting in what he pointed out.
The vehicle used was a nearly new Renault minivan, which was very comfy. We were supposed to have another couple joining our family for the tour, but then they changed their dates so we ended up with a private tour!
I definitely would recommend this tour company. My parents plan to visit Romania later this year and will be doing one of their tours.

A1 service, my wife and I were picked up at arranged time by emanuel, in a pretty new vehicle. We received a very informative and super friendly tour over the 2 days.
Emanuel was able to give us whatever time we wanted at each of the stops.
The overnight accommodation was at the Hotel Bulevard in Sighisoara, a very nice, comfortable hotel, with good restaurant for dinner and also good included breakfast.
Emanuel quickly became a good friend, we really enjoyed his company, humour
and assistance. We would recommend this tour to anyone and if you are lucky enough to get Emanuel, you're in for a special tour.

Our tour with the ever kind and patient Emanuel was so much fun! As an American growing up in the rural south with a Romanian mother, I felt disconnected with Romanian culture and its authentic history. Through this tour, my knowledge and understanding of Romania was broadened past the cityscape of Bucharest that I had visted every few summers to the countryside that I had heard about in folk tales. I fell in love with the beautiful monasteries, castles, and towns rich with personality that I had never known prior! I'm more excited than ever to explore more of this country and find the parallels between my experiences with rural folk art and tall tales in America and that of which my Romanian family grew up with. With Emanuel's eagerness to discuss each location in-depth and answer any questions, the tour wouldn't have been the same without him!
I highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in the history of Transylvania past pop-culture Dracula (although the reasons for character's rise to fame are mentioned!), especially those with a love for architecture, craftsmanship, and scenic views.
Some of the highlights were:
☆ Peleș Castle in all its multi-cultural beauty!
☆ the cobblestone pathways and rainbow buildings of Sighișoara and Sibiu
☆ Transylvanian cuisine !!!!!
☆ the kind & welcoming locals
☆ CATS!!! EVERYWHERE!
☆ structered plans paired with time to explore freely

We did the 2-day Transylvania trip with Marius. The entire trip was enjoyable & sites visited were second to none. I strongly agree that to be able to fully appreciate the area, it requires decent amount of time. And this tour exceeded our expectations. Even the meals recommended for dinner were exceptional. The hotel we stayed at felt like a 5-star hotel cause of the room quality and staff service. As to Marius, he was so educated & funny at the same time. There was no dull moments with him and he would bring you to places on time as much as possible to have enough time to roam around and enjoy the scenery. Plus he also respects his guests’ time and privacy to tour the area at their convenience and choice. Definitely a recommended travel agency in Bucharest and Paul the owner was also professional and prompt in answering any query. Kudos to the team!

The whole tour was incredible! I was lucky to have Marius as my tour guide. He was passionate, opinionated, and willing to share information and answer any question. Whether on the road or visiting a location, Marius was a wealth of information and well known by other Romanians.
The sites in Brasov were incredible, and the food recommendation from Marius was fantastic. Peleș Castle was closed on Monday, but the grounds were beautiful to walk. Bran's Castle was an experience as well as learning about the real story of Dracula. Sighișoara was a great place to end day 1, and the hotel accommodations and on-site restaurant were perfect. In Biertan, I got to see storks and enjoy young apples fresh from the tree while experiencing the most fortified castle I have ever seen. And the scenic drive home next to the river, which cut through the mountains, was a great way to conclude the trip.
I highly recommend this tour and Marius as a tour guide!
