Tour delivered, Draculas castle is a shambles
We had Vlad as our tour guide for the Draculas castle day tour. His What’s app communication was very clear. He sent meeting points with ‘pins’ dropped throughout the day. So a couple of times it was meet back here at…. This was fine. There was a brief walking tour in Brasov and then time to find some lunch and meet back at the bus. The bus holds 40-50 people. We were told that we were lucky as there was only 9 buses on the tour circuit that day and sometimes there are up to 35 busses. I can’t imagine what that would be like. Peles castle was great to see and well organised. Vlad did a good job of narrating the castle. Dracula’s castle (castle Bran) tour is more of a shambles. Let’s see how quickly we can get as many people through in as short a time as possible. The castle is quite bare with a few words on boards and a few images shown (Grim reaper and story) but as you are pushed through by the multitude of tourists, you can’t really look around as you have to watch your feet. So, not a good experience inside the castle and we were there on a day with less crowds! This is no reflection on the tour, merely the lack of organisation at Bran castle. Vlad was not as jovial a guide as we normally encounter however banter with the tourists warmed up as the day progressed. He gave some useful tips on where to eat and other points of interest. He did chat about life in Romania atm on the way back, which was interesting. Regarding meeting in the morning, we were given a few options and chose the closest one. A WhatsApp pin was given for meeting point options. The company was on time and the bus was clean and comfortable. There were a few short comfort stops on the way. It is a long day and could easily get longer if there were traffic delays. Vlad kept track of all the customers well throughout the day. It was value for money and we did enjoy our day.

Peles Castle, Dracula's Castle and Medieval Town of Brasov in one day
our travel agent had said that we would be picked up directly at our hotel. The night before we received a text from eastern european experience to say the pick up point, it was fine, a 10 min walk. Definitely worth a visit, our tour guide Eugene was fab and kept us up to date with excellent knowledge about everything, Wasn't afraid to answer questions, and we had a different variety of nationalities on our bus. Well worth a visit. plenty of stops along the way when needed. ,

          Snagov is a must-see
Alex was a great guide, very friendly and gave us lots of information about Snagov and Mogosoaia. Unfortunately for us, the palace was closed that day, but the grounds of Mogosoaia were still open for us to walk around. Snagov was beautiful, it's a very peaceful place. Alex mentioned that this was really the best time of the year to go for this. Despite the palace being closed, Alex did his best to extend the tour around the gardens. Finally, Alex gave us a great recommendation for lunch at a shawarma place in Bucharest that we really enjoyed.

          No drama review
Let me first say i was nervous to book as others painted a dismal picture of this tour. Went with my gut, and glad I did. Driver/tour guide was right on time for pickup at my hotel. There was another that was supposed to be picked up, at same hotel but he did not come. Driver tried many times, even went to the front desk. The guy was asleep! We waited for 15 minutes and finally left. Driver went beyond what was necessary . Picked up the others from their hotels. Just about to head out, and the missing guy called. We went back for the guy. That wasted 45 minutes of our day. I’m sorry, you snooze you lose! Driver made sure everyone had passport. Drove just over an hour, stopped to use toilets. Then border, then first stop a monastery, built in the 16th century. Then stopped again for toilets and snack. From there drove to see a 17th century what I would call chalet. Then drove another hour to a fortress. At this point it was lunch. Guide let us know lunch would not be until after 2pm. Actually lunch came at 3:30pm. Fortress was amazing. You will need to be in decent shape as hike to the top was equivalent to 17 floors per my Apple health app. Once we finished lunch back towards Bucharest. We had traveled 3 hours south. Got back just before 8pm. Warnings, no eating in van. On the stops you can snack. It was a much longer to lunch than I expected, but it was fine. Driver/guide does explain a lot on out Bulgaria. He is not there to walk you through an area. He drops off and gives you a time to be back. My only true complaint is where we stopped for lunch. Not many places to pick from. Otherwise I’d do this tour again! I am sure it was the only time I’d ever see Bulgaria, and so glad I did. Another country I got to check off!

          False advertisement
The tour itself is fine. It is the title and the pick up. It was titled private tour with air-conditioned private vehicle and hotel pick up. It was not. We sat in a big bus with forty passengers and no air conditioning. It stated pick up at the hotel. It was not. The operator sent us a what’s up message the afternoon before, to meet us at the meeting place at latest 7:20 and they will leave without us if we did not get there on time. We had just arrived in Bucharest the day before and totally unfamiliar with the city. We took Uber ride of 15 minute, and was dropped off one block from the meeting place. It took us extra 5 minutes with the gps to guide us to the meeting place. It was stressful. If I knew that if there is no hotel pick up, I will not signed up for the trip. We only got the noticed the afternoon before and after Viator charged our credit card and no refund. It was a false advertisement.

          Trans-country Transylvania Trip
Tour guide was lovely and very knowledgable about Bucharest and the castles. Brasov was a great town. Bran and Peles castles were very crowded, and Bran castle was a little underwhelming. Bus was a little hot and ride seemed long.

          Best trip in Bucharest
Oh my, this trip was the best day ever!!!!! Vlad was an absolutely amazing guide. Travelling for the first time as a solo woman I was apprehensive about being left behind but I wasn't. Vlad was super knowledgeable and helped with just more than the trip. He keeps you up to date throughout the day by WhatsApp and its the best. Many thanks to the driver too, it's a really long day for you guys but I really appreciate you both!

          NICE TOUR
Nice tour, well organized. Pelisor castle was great to visit, interesting and with many details if you like to make photos. We cannot say the same for Bran castle, which is super fake. On the other hand the tour guide recommended delicious meals to eat so we enjoyed also this part. The last part was Brașov, also very nice city with beautiful architecture. The only recommendation is to be more precise or to explain that the tour could easily last longer than what's written in the description (we came back around 21:30, no accident, only traffic).

Our guide, Mr. Stefan Andrei, was extremely knowledgeable , professional and very pleasant guide. He was able to enrich our short trip to the area and for that we are very thankful. He also took us to the airport with his comfortable car and on the way continued to explain to us the history and culture of Romania. We highly recommend him and his Company.

        Jan 2018 • Family
Everytime me and my family travel, we ask many if our friends if they have traveled to that particular place where we go and what experience they had. Nobody that we know has traveled before to Romania. So our online search brought us to Eastern European Experience and we ended up booking with them 2 tours, one for Bucharest as a city tour and the Snagov Monastery and one to the Castles in Transylvania.
We were extremely impressed with the services we got. We travel with our 3 kids (6yo, 8yo and 11yo), and when we got picked up from our apartment, our guide Stefan already had in his minivan coloring books & Kinder eggs for them as a surprise. We couldn’t believe it. He gave us a very interesting tour where we learned a lot and even took us on a short walk where Dracula ruled in Bucharest. He was a delight.
We are planning a longer trip in the summer.
