This was the BEST tour I have ever taken. Period. We booked it due to the Halloween experience and looked at the events planned and thought it would be fun. We had multiple tours booked back to back on our Europe Trip and because mostly everything was covered on this tour, we didn't look into before we left. We fell in love with Romania and didn't want to leave. The country is amazing. Not only did we get a unique intimate experience with the Halloween parties, gorgeous accommodations, amazing meals, but our tour guide was SO knowledgeable and I did not expect to learn as much as I did. I did not expect to do as much sightseeing as we did. This experience was honestly once in a lifetime and I see why it sells out EVERY YEAR. Do yourself a favor and book a tour. You will not regret it.

Our tour was a 3 day tour that was prepared for us, a group of 15. It was called "3-Day Short Break in Transylvania". The itinerary was prepared for us to include important sites in Transylvania. We departed from and returned to Cluj/Napoca. We visited Sighisoara, Peles Castle, Bran Castle, Brasov, and Rasnov Citadel. It was a very well laid out and informative tour. To set the tour up, I worked with Hertha, who was responsive and communicated very well. Our tour guide, Andrew, was very personable and knowledgeable. I recommend Transylvania Live. They were great to work with. I would suggest going to them to inquire about a custom tour if they don't list what you have in mind.

Well organised and fun. The bus was clean and our guide Kristian excellent. We enjoyed the first party planned by themselves in Sighisoara even more than the "main" party at Bran. This holiday had been cancelled due to covid and the communication from the company was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. Transylvania is stunning. We will be back.

The tour exceeded all expectations. The tour guide was very knowledgable and courteous. The locations highlighted in the tour were extremely interesting not to say anything about the fun at the Halloween parties. If you have never been to Romania, this is an excellent first trip. Accomodations were good and the daily travel not too overbearing. Great Time!!!

My wife and I did the 7 day Halloween tour. It was truly an amazing experience and would highly recommend. The experience was unlike any we've had. We particularly enjoy the Halloween party hosted by T-Live. We were a super late addition to the tour and they still accommodated us, which was amazing. The only thing I would say was we were really looking forward to the Poenari visit on the itinerary, but found out only after the tour started that it was closed due to bears. We did however visit Targoviste instead which was also a great day. Thanks for everything, especially to Hertha and Monica our guide who went above and beyond.

I was very happy with the Dracula Tour. For years I had wanted to visit the sites associated with Vlad and finally found the right tour. I had a great time and enjoyed the experience immensely. I would recommend this tour to anyone, just be prepared for a lot of walking. Our tour guide (Monica) was great and provided for a great experience. I loved the Halloween parties, especially the one at Sighisoara.

The 7 day Halloween tour is much more than just a couple of parties. The locals do not celebrate Halloween (but they do for All Souls Day on Nov 2) so the true focus was not on Halloween, but the history of Romania. The parties are just a bonus. Our tour guide Monica did an amazing job bringing us to many magnificent historical locations and landmarks. Explaining how they played a part in the winding history of wars and politics across the country of Romania. The cities are wonderful, the history diverse, and the landscape in between holds magnificent vistas. Though many homes appear run down with damaged windows, rooves, or roads, but the country is still recovering from Soviet dominance following WW2. We unfortunately did not get to visit the famous Poenari Fortress due to a nesting mother bear and her cubs, but the tour was adapted to allow us to visit another magnificent set of ruins with an intact tower instead. Monica was actually very skilled at adapting the tour for other reasons such as long queues or building maintenance, and her level of knowledge of the vast history allowed her to simply bring us to other locations and describe the ones we missed later. You need to prepare yourself for a lot of travelling on the roads, as Romania is quite a large spread out country. But the bus trip was not entirely that bad. It allowed us to take in the landscape and chat with the other members of our group. Monica and the bus driver were very accommodating in arranging lunch breaks and bathroom stops during transit between hotels. Lunch is not included in the tour, but allows the option for choice and freetime to explore the local areas and eat what you want. At the end of the tour everyone in our group agreed we would comeback another year if we had the chance! If you are at all interested in Vlad Tepes and the true story of Dracula, you need to take this tour!

It was an amazing Halloween experience! So fun and authentic. I couldn't recommend it more. We saw some beautiful towns, learned about history and party it up at an amazing party! It is a must do in a lifetime!

Excellent knowledgeable private guide who showed us Bran Castle (a bit "touristy") Brasov and the Bear Sanctuary (not to be missed) . Very Good value- we could plan our own day with no waiting around. A long day but very worthwhile.

As we travel from Uk to Rominia by road trip it well worth to see Dracula castle, it was wonderful experience..

We always do something for Halloween. This year was my husbands 50th He had no idea where I was taking him. So was pleasantly surprised to land in Romania.We felt safe with our host. Alan was informative and humourous, looking after us extremely well. Our travel companions turned out to be excellent company too. The tour was planned well with lovely accommodation and great party's. We found translvania warm, friendly with a rustic charm. Can't wait to go back and ride the mountain roads for ourselves. (They do motorcycle trips too)

Transylvania Live did a great job organizing the tour and even helping out to make sure their customers are comfortable and properly accommodated. Monica and Hertha did a good job being guides. The party was totally epic and the people from the other groups were amazing, fun, and drama-free. I am big on Halloween season events, being from Southern California and all, but my peak event was this party and the only regret I have is I wish it would've lasted longer. I plan on returning next year or sometime soon for the other castle's Halloween party. Highly recommend. Just note that the 4 star hotel is a 5 minute walk from everyone else but right across the castle and the party.

My husband and I did the 7 day Halloween Tour with the 2 day Add-on trip. The company was very helpful and timely in their email communications during the planning process and leading up to the trip. We received detailed itinerary information and found the trip to be a great value for everything included and very easy to plan.The experience itself was AMAZING! We had a wonderful small group with a great driver and knowledgeable tour guide (Stefan). The parties were a ton of fun, but we also loved seeing the castles, churches, fortresses, villages, towns, cities, forests and countryside. Our hotels had lots of character and only one that seemed could use some updating. They all included breakfast, and we also enjoyed the meals included in the tour. Keep in mind, changing hotels every night and carrying luggage up and down stairs when you pack. We aren't sure how we will ever top this experience! Thank you, Transylvania Live!
