A tour that cannot be missed from a visit in Bucharest. Christina has done one of the most intriguing and incredibly-in-depth tours I've ever done in a city. Through her narration, not only you can learn about the life in Bucharest during Communism through buildings, legends and stories someone will never learn in English, but also you can see how this city has been formed to what it has become today. A chance that shall not be missed, if you ever get to Bucharest!

We had the communist tour with John, it’s been an amazing experience. John have taken us to all the main landscaping that are related to Ceausescu’s era and his end. We could see the passion in what John does, the 3h of the tour felt very comfortable.

The tour with Andree far surpassed my expectations. She was really well informed and extremely passionate about the subject, including personal anecdotes and family experiences in bringing alive life under Communism. The fact that the day of my tour coincided with the 30th anniversary of the fall of Ceaucescu and concluded in Revolution Square with a ceremony marking the occasion with the reading of the names of the 1,100 young people who gave their lives for freedom gave it even greater impact. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone with an interest in the remarkable history of Romania and Bucharest.

We were really interested in the communist history of Romania and found it very difficult to find out information about it, until we stumbled across this tour.
We learned so much, our your guide (I think her name was Andrea) was super knowledgeable, happy to answer all of our questions, we had lots, gave us lots of great advice for our trip and shared some of her family's own history which made the tour very unique.
This your by far exceeded my expectations and I think anyone visiting Romania should really try and fit this into their trip
Great value for money, best walking tour I've ever been on, and I've done a lot!

This is the part that I enjoyed most during my stay in Bucharest. Andreea is a very friendly, knowledgeable guide and she will take you to places not possible to discover by yourself. Even if you have only a couple of days available, this tour will give you all you need to know of the city.

Fascinating walking tour of Bucharest with a real historian, Claudia, of Good Living Tours. She used photos, personal experience/knowledge and treats (a Eugenia cookies which rose to fame in 70s) to really tell us the horrors of communism. I listened and learned a lot! Favorite place was Revolution Square...her great storytelling made Communism's death where it happened come to life.

An absolutely superb tour! Our whole group thoroughly enjoyed it. Andreea, our guide, delivered a well researched and very informative tour. Some of our group are new to Bucharest, and were fascinated by the history of Communism in the city, and even those who had lived here for several years learned something new, and visited new places. I would thoroughly recommend it to others, and will be looking to book another tour in the future!

Dear 'Communist tour of Bucharest' staff,
My husband and I arrived in Bucharest yesterday evening and we only found out about your walking tours late last night. We would like to join a tour today (9 September), but the on-line booking system only allows us to enter tomorrow's date. Would it be possible to take a tour today?
Thanks,
Julie
