Hey,
I really wanted to share the review because this is one of the best and fun excursions I've ever had. The travel company is serious and reliable (I tripple checked credibility and it's legit unlike some other online companies that are out there). ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND
We're Canadian and we had a marvelous experience, reminded us of our Rocky Mountains back home. We absolutely had a blast on that bus. Our tour guide Serban Riga was absolutely fantastic, very knowledgeable, very resourceful, he had an answer to all our knit picked questions and was always there to let us know what was next, what to expect and he managed well all unpredictabilities.

We had a very well timed tour at Peles, we even had time to go on the extended tour (for those who were interested).

The Bran tour was amazing, we even got to see a fox and had amazing light and weather for pictures. I bought local țuica (the local eau de vie beverage) and even shared with the whole group (mind you this was before the pandemic). Everbody was in an even better mood after that (the party really started).

Brasov time was nice although the restaurant we chose ended up being pretty slow but we managed to get takeout and use up the time to visit a bit more (you have to check our the Creperie right across from the Piața Sfatului and it was AMAAAZING.

I believe Serban had shared his cellphone with us so in case we'd get lost he'd fetch us or guide us back to the bus but we got around pretty easily. He really managed to inspire team spirit and we all bonded really well (British, Aussies, Kiwis, Americans, Canadians and Germans alike).

Sorry it took so long to write my review (I forgot the excursion company name and just stumbled upon it again just now). We actually visited in October 2019 but Travel Advisor doesn't allow to select earlier dates for the reviews). Anyway this was my rant but just wanted to say this was a trip to remember.

Really interesting tour, the Palace and visit to Brasov the highlights. It’s a long day and can feel very cramped in the mini bus but don’t let this put you off. It’s well worth the experience to visit these places. Our guide was very accommodating and always tried his best to meet our expectations and requests. Tour Tip if travelling from Bucharest start as early as possible the city traffic is very congested, take drinks with you and extra clothing the weather can change and it is cooler away from Bucharest

In addition to an excellent knowledge of history of Romania and both castles, as well as skillful organization of all nuances of the tour by itself, I want to emphasize the huge heart, self-control and patience of our tour guide Matthew. I booked this tour at the time when the COVID test for entry back to the United States was mandatory and I had no other time to take it but before the tour, as it had to be taken during the last 24 hours. Matthew had no hesitation and immediately agreed to stop for 5 minutes at the lab to let me take the test. Unfortunately, it look a little more than that to find the lab, even though it was on our way out of the city.

If not Matthew's decision, I wouldn't be able to make this tour, which would absolutely devastate me as I overcame a lot to get to Bucharest. I can not express enough my gratitude to Matthew and the whole team of TravelMaker Bucharest Day Tours in general for the wonderful ethics of "no client left behind".

These guys have a very strong respect to client's needs which I am sure will pay them back in a long run in the most generous way!

Thank you again and I will plan to book another tour from TravelMaker Bucharest the next time I am visiting the country.

My boyfriend and I had a lovely trip visiting the Peles Castle, Bran Castle and Brasov. Our guide Serban did an amazing job talking about the places in an interesting way. There was a lot of fun facts about places and items. The Peles Castle is by far the more interesting one, as the Bran Castle (Dracula Castle) is more marketing than a beautiful castle, which Serban also mentioned. The nature surrounding the mountains is stunning and worth the long drive.

He and the driver Peter had a great sense of humor, and it was a fun tour even during transportation. The service was also great and there where room for small toilet breaks during transportation. We were on time during the whole tour and even arrived a bit earlier back in Bucharest as our group was precise with the deadlines given by Serban.

Although there were a lot of mountains (and hair pin turns) Peter was a very professional driver and nobody on the tour got sick.
We would highly recommend taking this tour with Travel Makers (and especially Serban and Peter) to other visitors.

Perfect experience! Our tour guide was in time to pick us from our hotel (they even satisfied our request to pick us up from a different hotel). Knowledgeable tour guide, answered all our questions on Romania's history (and we had a lot :) ) The day trip was tiring, but very satisfying. Both castles are beautiful, and Brasov town is a must-see, very picturesque. Our guide proposed a restaurant in Brasov where we had the best traditional food in our 5-days in Bucharest. Highly recommended!!

It was fun and very informative experience to go on this trip with Serban. He picked us up right on time and first he drove us around Bucharest explaining the historical significance of several areas of town. He had many stories to tell, and always had a joke to go along with them making the environment in the vehicle very light and fun. On our way to the castles and Brasov he told stories about the history of Romania and had a lot of fun facts to add about eveything we saw.
At Peles he took us through the castle room by room and was able to tell a story about nearly every room we were in, and the same goes for Bran caslte. In Brasov he walked us down to the Christmas markets and let us wander before moving on in the tour.
At the end of the day he made sure to get us as close to our hotel as possible, along with the other folks in the vehicle.
If you are looking for a tour guide to Transylvania that really knows his stuff, Serban is your guy.
If you are Serban's boss, he deserves to have his salary doubled.

I went to Bucharest as a solo female traveler and wanted to find some way to be able to experience Transylvania without all of the hard work of catching trains! This was perfect. Yes, there is a lot of driving but the scenery is beautiful, and we had wifi on the bus too so I could post all of my photos on social media and send them to friends! We were lucky enough to have Serban Riga as our engaging guide and he was very knowledgeable, he had great facts and fun anecdotes about a lot of little places during our drives which made the few hours driving fun. He was also very good and clear about how much time we had in each place and making sure the group took these time limits seriously, so we were always running to schedule and that meant we could have a quick stop off at a distillery which was a great addition to the trip. Also shout out to our driver who was very nice and drove very safely up on the winding mountain roads which made me feel very safe! Thank you guys, I'll recommend this tour to everyone!

Şerban guided us 4 together with 12 other people through the legendary Dracula castle and the beautiful Peleş castle as well as through the city of Braşov which is more to the north. He was very entertaining and enthusiastic throughout the whole trip as he gave us tips, joked around and gave us some nice history lessons. His English was easy to understand. We really enjoyed having him on our trip as our guide! Anytime again!

I was very torn between three and four stars as I feel it's in-between.
Our guide, Marian, was without a doubt the best part. He alone would get a higher rating from us. He was knowledgeable, friendly and took care to answer all questions and remembered everyone.
There were a lot of positives like no needing to worry about transport between different parts, pick up was great (even with the last minute name change on the bus, they came for us), the guide buys the tickets, he's with you and commentates on what normally you'd not have very much on in the rooms. Marian also suggested we visit the Black Church is Brasov and provided us with a tour so good someone else tagged along!
There were negatives however, the minibus was small and the aircon wasn't working properly so it basically a sweat box for a long drive; the guide didn't have any headphones or mic so when inside the castles you could easily hear other guides over yours telling different things...Our main gripe was the stop after Bran Castle, we were told it would be 15/20mins max and we were there for an hour. I'm vegetarian so wasn't able to eat much other than chips at the stop, had we known we were there longer we could have sorted ourselves. The stop at Brasov for the free time, also wasn't very long (45mins) which gave us just about enough time to eat something but not look around.
Overall, I was happy enough but my partner didn't enjoy the experience as not enough time at the places, lots more travelling.

I went on a girls trip with seven of my friends from the United States and we used travel makers to see some of the amazing sites and castles in the Transylvania mountains. Boogie, our tour guide, was excellent and so knowledgeable about the area. He was friendly and made the tour is super fun. Our driver, Peter, surprised us with a trip to a Balinka brewery where they provided a chance for us to taste the region’s special alcohol for our entire group. Additionally, in Braşov, Boogie made a reservation for us at the best restaurant we had attended on the whole trip. All in all it was an amazing experience and I would definitely recommend!

Hi there, Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a kind review, we really appreciate it! We are happy to hear that everything went as expected and our colleagues, Boogie&Petre, took good care of you. I am also very happy that you tasted Palinca, what is travelling to a new country without tasting their traditional drink, right? It seems that your trip was very engaging! Thanks again, it was a pleasure to serve you and we hope to see you again sometimes to show you more exciting destinations in Romania! With gratitude and best regards, Roxana Adam
