Great overview of history, sights, and culture of Bucharest!
Jun 2018 • Couples
We booked this tour at the last minute when one of our other tours that day was canceled and we needed to fill an afternoon. We are so glad that we found this tour! We were picked up in a mini bus, and driven through a lot of interesting squares and streets, and had some walking tours to the biggest spots in Bucharest.

We started with a short ride through Bucharest to stop a little outside the city at the Dimitrie Gusti Village. It was very interesting to see the houses and the people who still live there, and to be able to purchase some of their handmade items.

Next we passed the Arch of Triumph, Romanian Atheneum, and House of the Free Press, stopped for a short time at the National Museum of Art, and then went onto Revolution Square/Central University Library of Bucharest which were impressively massive. Our next destination was the Stavropoleos Church/Monastery which was built in 1724!! We were able to go inside and it was a quaint little church with a lot of history.

Our next stop was my favorite...The Old Princely Court of Vlad Tepes! A palace/home of Vlad's once stood here, but now it is just rubble and a few pieces of the old construction that is standing in its place. It was very cool to see the Vlad bust, old pottery, and the scattered headstones. We also had some great commentary about Vlad from our tour guide to go along with what we were looking at.

We next were able to stop at Constitution Square/Palace of Parliament. The building is MASSIVE and you can't even do it justice in one photo. Our last stop was at the Romanian Patriarchal Cathedral. Again, a massive building standing as a symbol of the country's Orthodox beliefs.

The history on this tour was incredible, with great commentary about the overthrow of Communism, Ceaușescu, and the country's modern political climate with how recently they became a democratic republic. Our driver and tour guide were both wonderful and I highly recommend this tour to anyone who only has a short time in Bucharest or who just wants to see a quick overview of a lot of the biggest sights, and then go back to them later on your time in Bucharest!

Nice tour
The tour begins with a car pick up from the hotel, it’s a mixture of being driven and walking. Rodica was the guide and Alex the driver, they were amazing, very knowledgable, friendly and fun. You will see some great places including a museum, if you don’t book any other tours I recommend you do this one half a day well worth it

Good Tour Guide
Itinerary is perfect for an overview of Bucharest, in a small group. Our guide was very good, providing the facts and some opinion, all in a semi-humorous way. He took care to answer all questions. He was clear about what has gone well and not well in Romania, over its history up until today.

Great taste of Bucharest
Sep 2018 • Friends
Our group of four really enjoyed the tour and loved our tour guide, Daniel. He was very pleasant and informative! Great job! The recommendation I have is to stick with the published starting time of 2:30; the office called us at 2:07 to tell us the tour was starting early and without us. Luckily, Daniel was gracious enough to come pick us up.
