- petercW3265GP0 contributionsGreat tourThe enthusiasm, professionalism and knowledge of our guide Dario. He met us promptly at our hotel and made sure we got to all the interesting places at the right time without in any way feeling rushed. His English was excellent and his enthusiasm for his city was evident in the way that he spoke. The tour overran its time but this was just because he had so much to show and tell us.Written October 14, 2022
- mickits0 contributionsGreat start to ZagrebThe best part was the knowledge of our guide, not only the city but Croatia, it’s history and the people. It was a wonderful way to learn about the capital and Croatia in general.Written October 7, 2022
- 912KRZ0 contributionsGreat private walking tourWe enjoyed this very informative private tour of Zagreb. Ivan was our guide and was awesome. He knows so much and was patient with our many questions. He also met us at our hotel and showed us a few additional sites nearby. We enjoyed the history which was augmented with maps to help us understand the history over the last thousand years. Great tour, we highly recommend!Written October 6, 2022
- RebWhi90 contributionsNo wonder a symbol of Zagreb is the heart!Wow! This was one of the best tours I've been on. Boyan met us at our hotel, ensured everyone was ready, then set out to teach us all about Zagreb in detail and Croatia in general. There were four in our tour, but the tour would have worked well for a group up to 8-10. We saw so many sites, walked a good amount of steps to see the city, took many envy-generating photos, and ended with the world's shortest transit system. We even went back to the restaurant recommended and had the best meal in Croatia. Truly splendid! Thanks for a great day of Servus!Written September 22, 2022
- Athena530 contributionsView of a traditional village with fascinating historyWe visited the village on a beautiful day, which helped, and had an excellent local guide, which also helped our experience. All of the buildings are on their original sites - this is not a village created by moving houses in from all over. Marshall Tito's home is open to the public; not all the furniture is original but one poignant detail I noticed was that the cradle, which WAS original, had many scratches on the floor from being rocked so often! (Tito had 7 siblings.) One room shows Tito's public life including some gifts from dignitaries. His funeral included 100 heads of state. Other buildings are dedicated to crafts, blacksmithing and other specialties. There is a good variety of items for sale in the souvenir shop including T-shirts and magnets with Tito's picture as well as traditional hand-made toys. Notice also the thatched roofs on some buildings- they need replacement only every 30 years or so.Written August 26, 2022

- fc6200 contributionsGreat tour to do when staying in Zagreb. We had a great tour to Samobor. Our guide was really knowledgeable and friendly and could answer all my husband's many questions about life past and present in Croatia. We enjoyed seeing the castle ruins and then walking down into the town. He made everything interesting. We had a delicious local cake and coffee in a charming hotel. It was nice to see a more rural town than Zagreb and to leave the city behind for a while. Very good tour and great guide.Written May 14, 2022
