- Davidstaycation0 contributionsGreat photowalk experience in ZagrebWe scheduled the tour upon our arrival in Zagreb. Our guide is Igor. As an experienced photographer, I am quite confident with my photography skills, but Igor showed me tips and tricks on how to get good photos and I learned so much from him. He brought us to interesting places around Zagreb and also explained to us some history. Thank you Igor! This is highly recommended.Written May 18, 2024
- 970kathrynw0 contributionsAmazing private photography experienceThis is a very long overdue review for Croatia Photo Tour. Only a couple of weeks before my intended trip,I found out that my intended vacation to another country was no longer possible, and I was going to be going to Croatia by myself (solo female traveler). I travel internationally fairly often for business by myself, but was nervous at the idea of trying to scramble to set up a very last minute itinerary. Igor helped me arrange a fantastic private itinerary to see many of Croatia and Bosnia's most scenic spots, and worked around my inconvenient hotel accommodations during the trip. Honestly, just having the itinerary and transit arranged alone was worth the cost of the tour but having the photography instruction was such a fantastic addition to the tour! On top of that, Igor was very helpful and patient as he taught me new techniques with my camera. I am very happy with all of the photos I took, and couldn't have done it without this tour. I would be happy to hire Croatia Photo Tours for my next trip to Croatia.Written October 14, 2020
- herbella20160 contributionsExtensive Photo Tour of Croatia Did Not DisappointBefore we left the US, my wife and I discussed what COULD go bad after we submitted our deposit for a two-week photo tour with a Croatian guide we hadn't yet met. He could not show up at all and just run off with our money. He could be a difficult person to travel with. He could do any of a hundred things to make us regret employing him, any of which would have been highly disappointing, since we had looked forward to this trip for many months. Igor proved to be an extremely tolerable travel partner, and excellent and knowledgeable guide, an experienced and talented photographer, and an overall really nice guy! We left Croatia thrilled with our experience and more than a little appreciative that our risk had paid off. Igor had arranged the accommodations, all of them in the older parts of the various cities we called home for one or more nights and his selections fit nicely with the style we had communicated as our preference. He took us to places we never would have selected travelling on our own, and shared his knowledge of those as well as the handful of places we DID know were a priority to visit, including Plitvice National Park and Krka National Park. We came away with more than a few photographs that made the trip both enjoyable and memorable. Since the 15 day tour included, among others, Dubrovnik, Split, Zagreb, Rovinj, Bled (Slovenia), and many small villages, this was a broader tour than you might typically book, but it is testament to Igor's flexibility. He started the tour with the statement that our agree-upon itinerary was merely a guideline, and that proved to be a real advantage as weather and other considerations prompted ad hoc modifications. Check out croatiaphototour.com for examples of Igor's work, and if his style appeals to you, you are not likely to regret booking his as your guide to some of the most scenic locations in Europe.Written November 5, 2018
- Don D0 contributionsFantastic...customised to suit 5*****Ibor organised our custom trip. Airport ZAGREB picj up/return with car and overnight in Plivuce area. Flawless cimmunication.Fantastic guide Julien who got us through the 5 hours we had available at a pace that worked despite my breathing handicaps. Still had time for a very reasonanly priced meal at park restaurants. Julien got us underway to avoid majority of crowds all thru day. Highly recommend these guys and photo tips assistance and help. Youll be very happy... TIPS: IN SUMMER 2018 - BE AWARE ENTRY FEE NOW CZ Kn250 = about €35.00 = good idea to keep park as pristine as possible. Includes boat ferries, tram etc. Well worth it this place is Uniquely beautiful. Even if you are short of time OVERNIGHT nearby...its too busy by even 10am to cope on pathways...start as park opens in a.m. Ecen if you leave by 3 youll be back in Zagreb by 6pm easily. For about €65 got 2 rooms = 1 for us and another for our guide at a great guest house (House Turkalj) who were well set up with comfy clean friendly stay. Most importantly a Photo tours guide will get you a well plannned itinerary very glad we used Croatia Photo tours... Thank you Julien and IborWritten July 23, 2018
- David P0 contributionsExtremely professional. We had booked our photo tour of Plitvice lakes a month before the start of our vacation. As the date drew closer, Igor was very responsive with questions we had and even coordinated an early pickup to beat the crowds. Once we arrived in Croatia, it was very apparent the weather was not going to be in our favor for the day of the national park and lake tour. Igor kept constant communication with us and was very honest and upfront with any expectations due to the weather. We ended up having to cancel, but our experience with Igor was above par. Just from this alone, I would not have any hesitation recommending Igor, and Croatia Photo Tour.Written June 14, 2018
- gablel0 contributionsCroatia photo toursI was with Igor two days In Plitvice and Slovenia , he leaded me not to confront with other group tours and showed me a lot of good spot for taking photos. He also took me to a local restaurant along the country side which was really good. He drove safely these two days, I highly recommend Igor to whoever wants to have a photographic tour in Croatia and Slovenia.Written May 21, 2018

- lausbond50 contributions"Zagreb Photo Tour"Booked a two hour walking tour with Igor from Croatia Photo Tour and I was not disappointed. As my interest was mainly in Street Wall Murals, he brought me to see some of the most amazing arts and and also taught me how to best capture them with my iPhone.I would highly recommend Croatia Photo Tour for a personalized tour and more so if you are interested in photography even if you are an armature as I am.Written October 6, 2017
- John K0 contributionsZagreb Photo TourMatilja was my Photo tour guide. I only had a 3 hour window to do this. Matilja asked what I know as a photographer. He suggested learning how to photograph with neutral density filters. We toured upper and downtown Zagreb. He taught me every technique on shooting with ND filters. There is nothing better than honing the photography skills as you tour the city of Zagreb. I would highly recommend using Croatia Photo Tour. Matilja did a great job.Written October 2, 2017
- Ashkan V0 contributionsDay Trip to Istria - Photo TourWe did the day trip to Istria with Igor. We were impressed by every bits of the tour, including the conversations we had with Igor getting to know about Croatia and its people and culture. Igor is smart, knowledgeable and definitely interesting and fun to hang out with :) He quickly figured out our interests and tailored the tour accordingly. He also took some amazing shots along the tour which he shared with us just the day after. Also as a beginner photographer (I hope), I benefited from Igor's feedback on how to better control exposure and light. Very professional and courteous with great communication. Highly recommended! And Istria, well you know you should definitely pay a visit... Thank you Igor for making it so memorable! Samira & AshkanWritten June 26, 2017

The time was filled with information about Zagreb, technical assistance for our photography, a chance to experiment with the technical help and creative feedback. We highly recommend this to professional and amateur photographers.Written May 26, 2017
- rnhowe0 contributionsFantastic ExperienceWe did a full day in Plitvice and an evening tour in Zagreb with Croatia Photo Tour and had a great time. Both Julien and Igor were amazing - super friendly and had lots of good advice. They took us to lots of spots we wouldn't have found on our own and we enjoyed spending time with both of them. The price of both tours felt like a great value, they were one of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommend them.Written May 15, 2017
- bgoldsto0 contributionsIgor the GreatWe did the tour of Istria with Igor, who turned out to be the perfect guide. He's friendly, competent, organized, flexible, and endlessly patient. He's particularly good at figuring out what sort of things you are interested in (or not) and quietly tailoring the trip to match your ideal. Honestly, you couldn't ask for a better guide.Written April 3, 2017
