I spent a very enjoyable day exploring with Petra, who ran the tour just for me. She is super knowledgeable & passionate about all things outdoors in Croatia and we had a good friendly conversation the entire trip. The hike and scenery was quite spectacular. In the nearly 6 hours spent on the trail we did not see another soul! Get out there people, Croatia has some beautiful scenery. Petra also provided me with loads of recommendations for the remainder of my trip in other parts of Croatia (such as the best sunset spot on Losinj, towns to visit, restaurants, dishes to eat etc) which was super helpful and much appreciated.

Petra was an amazing guide for my hike. It was my first time hiking in such heavy snow, and she was very understanding and adapted the trip to suit my needs and pace. The park was beautiful, I’ve never seen anything like it. I would highly recommend the trip!

Guided half day hike with Petra was wonderful! She customized a lovely hike on Mt. Medvednica in Zagreb. Her expertise in foraging for mushrooms and identifying native plants made the hike informative and she was kind enough to share some delicious homemade traditional Croatian snacks with me. A truly lovely afternoon! In the quick run up to the planning she was responsive to my inquiries and gave great directions for where to meet up. A memorable experience!

Petra is a great guide. This was my third trip to Croatia. The first time I went to see the walled cities, the second time for the coast and islands. This time I wanted to experience some of the numerous mountains of Croatia. Natural Croatia Adventures, based in Zagreb, far exceeded my expectations for mountain adventures in the Croatia. We visited the “Tuscany-like” Istria Peninsula with its art shops, truffles, and hill-top villages. We were in for a delightful surprise when we hiked and scrambled in the White Rocks protected area, a very magical place. We hiked and climbed in Risnjak National Park. In Plitvice National Park we saw waterfalls from about 10 hanging lakes, any one of which I might have walked miles just to see the waterfall. We did a one-way trek on Premuzic Mountain Trail, a long distance beautifully built trail through white karst. Petra has led many island adventures to some of Croatia’s over 1000 islands as well. I went for half day tour to hike Medvedgrad with Petra. She was guiding me through the mountain with lots of interesting stories. She also explained to me about few plants grow in forest that we can eat. So much fun. This activity is recommended for beginers who want to see nature closely with easy trails. If you’re lucky you can see squirell like I did. Thank you Petra for the wonderful trip :)

As a solo traveler, I contacted several tour companies looking for a group to join hiking for a week, but Petra offered me a very reasonable price for a customized solo hiking tour through Risnjak National Park, Island Krk, White Rocks, Plitvice National Park, Velebit National Park, and Baške oštarije. It was the most unforgettable week of my life. She took me to mountain peaks, islands, the waterfalls of Plitvice, and the seaside, drove through windy mountain roads and fairy tale mountain villages. We hiked to viewpoints where I saw as many as eight (!) layers of mountains. Even on a day with awful cold and rain, we made the most of it and eventually hit the trail at 5:30pm, which ended with the most breathtaking sunset of my entire life reflecting over the sea. The hikes themselves had me constantly asking "How is this place real!?" but what really made the trip was Petra. She is not only a great guide who knows the trails well (and kept us safe from wildlife!), but she is such a generous, positive, friendly person. She went to every effort to make the trip special - took the longer, scenic route between destinations, woke up to make Turkish coffee and mountain wildflower tea for us both, and shared her food and incredible travel stories. You can also tell that even though she has hiked these trails many times she still is truly awed by them each time. We started off as tour guide and client and ended as friends. :) Words really can't describe how grateful I am for this trip. If you are considering booking a tour with her, don't think twice. DO IT. You will remember it for the rest of your life.

We booked this day trip to Plitvice Lakes with Petra through the website Natural Croatia and we are very glad we chose this company. Communication was excellent.Petra answered all of our questions quickly and thoroughly and willingly adapted the tour to include a visit to Rastoke village.Petra picked us up from our hotel exactly on time and drove us safely to the wonderful Plitvice Lakes National Park. The park was wonderful. Petra was a great guide, sharing information about the park and herself and giving us choices and patiently waiting while we took so many photos. Petra also took photos during the day which she kindly sent to us on our return from our holiday. We thoroughly recommend this tour and the Natural Croatia tour company.

We visited Plitvice with Petra on a cold November day and just loved it, especially the Upper Lakes. I'd seen a lot of waterfalls before, but at Plitvice they were unique, big, small, unexpectedly situated and absolutely everywhere. Everywhere we turned, we were astounded by the rugged beauty of our surroundings. And we had the best guide, and company, in Petra, who let us go at our pace and gave us different options within the park. She split the difference in our skill levels and delivered an energetic hike that left us exhilarated. And when we returned home and looked at our photos of the day, we were amazed all over again. I'm sure Plitvice is beautiful year-round, but we loved its severe beauty in the colder months. Definitely worthwhile, and we'd hike with Petra anywhere.

First time to Croatia, and we chose a private walking and touring experience organized by Natural Croatia. A great choice with walks which suited our ability and interests. We were able to see some country most tourists will never experience.Our guide was most polite, pleasant, flexible and accommodating. The country was very interesting to visit.

We had a great day of climbing with Natural Croatia. We arranged everything online a few days in advance and it was very easy and smooth. The trip itself was also very well organized from transport, gear and guides. We climbed until we were too tired to climb anymore. If you're looking to do some climbing near Zagreb I would definitely recommend Natural Croatia. They were also super helpful with some other hiking suggestions for the rest of our time in Croatia.

Petra Ban, owner of Natural Croatia, developed an outstanding and detailed itinerary that allowed us to explore Croatian cities, islands and national parks during a 3-week vacation She was readily available via phone or text messaging during the trip when we needed her in the event that a problem arose. It was a wonderful experience and the vast majority of the credit for that experience goes to Petra.

Petra is an amazing guide. She is so personable and fun, it was wonderful to learn about and experience Croatia with her. She took us to great places to eat, hike, bike, and kayak. She really does her research, including visiting restaurants in advance to find out if they will be suitable! She is very adaptable and can modify your travel plans based on your interests and needs. We, for example, encountered some unexpected bad weather. Petra was great about accommodating for that by rearranging our schedule to make the most of good weather when we had it and avoiding bad weather with indoor activities. She also took photos and videos of the trip. We had a great time with Natural Croatia!

Petra of Natural Croatia was a an amazing guide with a great sense of humor who took amazing care of our group of 13 women. She helped plan a wonderful trip to Istria where we kayaked, cycled, hiked, wine/olive oil tasted and enjoyed the cities, small hill towns and seaside. Her ability to work with varying fitness levels and food preferences was so helpful. We are grateful for the beautiful villa and top notch transport she booked for our two week stay. Looking forward to bringing more friends!
