About
Pirin – the third highest mountain in Balkan peninsula, the marble beauty of Bulgaria. The older name of that mountain was Perun, the Slavic god of Thunder. When Christianity spread all around the land, this was the last stronghold for the Slavic gods.  Later the name was transformed to Pirin. The mountain with its fortune of rivers, lakes, flora and wildlife gave a big inspiration for legends. Now Pirin is a national park, a part of UNESCO heritage. In the foothills of Pirin is Bansko, which is the biggest ski resort of the Balkan states.  Join us to fell the magic of the lakes, hear some legends, to see some wild goats, to reach the top – Vihren, and to enjoy of the thermal springs in the valley below the mountain.

          Wonderful experience in Sofia
I loved this tour with our more than knowledgeable tour guide Methodiy. He was great and extremely friendly. He answered to questions about the history of Bulgaria and explained everything perfectly! We loved him! I was left absolutely astonished by the history and beauty of the bulgarian capital and it's religious sites. Καταπληκτικός ξεναγός ο Μεθοντιυ. Τον συνιστώ ανεπιφύλακτα και αυτό το τουρ φυσικά!

Excellent guide tour to RILA 7 lakes (See above)
I would like to recommend Metodiy Ganchev ("Bulgarian Fairy Tale ") as the best "one day tour" guide I have taken! My wife and I, wanted to do the famous Bulgarian route "The Seven Rila Lakes" but with a private drive/guide, He quickly response with a price proposal and answered with details to all my questions He Was on time to pickup us from the hotel. He was turn out to be a very educated person (university bachelor in Archeology) with a deep knowledge of Bulgaria, its history, geography, culture, even the Jewish history, (We are Jewish.), and more/ His English was excellent, and voluntary told us many interesting things about the area and other staff

          Piaute ATV Trail
The Piaute ATV trail system is the best, very scenic and some very challenging trails. Well marked and maintained trails. And Nathan and his staff at Rose Ranch ATV rentals are super nice people . I highly recommend them.

Customised hiking tour in Rila and Pirin mountains
If you’ve come this far searching for a reliable tour operator for your trip to Bulgaria then look no further. Bulgarian Fairy Tale is the one for you. From the moment I sent my first email, everything has been handled professionally. Meto was prompt in his replies. Offers suggestions and recommendations and is open for discussions. In the end, I opted for a customised eight days hiking tour of the Rila and Pirin mountains. Eight days might be too short to discover the beauty of the mountains but Meto certainly knew what he was doing when he proposed the itinerary. Everything went according to plan without any hiccups. My mountain leader throughout the trip, Teo, was a real gentleman. From the moment he received me at the airport, I knew I was in good hands. Honest, responsible, and respectful; qualities you would want in a good guide. He knew his way around the mountains very well. Safety was never compromised. I am truly thankful that I had engaged the services of Bulgarian Fairy Tale. It was the best decision made. I had a wonderful time in Bulgaria, and I’m sure you would too. Just make sure you do it with Bulgarian Fairy Tale.

          Trip to little Switzerland
The tour was well organised and the pick up was on time. The guide was very experienced. The guide knew a lot about archeology and history and I learned a lot about bulgarian history. Not a second was boring, I can highly recommend this trip for all who stay in Sofia

          A fabulous experience!
This was a fabulous and unique experience:2-day trip to Sopot, Karlovo, Kalofer, Damascena, The Valley of the Thracian Rulers, Shipka, Gabrovo, Bojentsi and Triavna! A tailor-made excursion to fit our requests. Accompanied by our very kind guide and driver from Bulgaria Fairy Tale, it was an excellent travel experience, with erudition and rich information provided all over the trip. This interesting travel fascinated us, as Bulgarians we were proud of our rich and beautiful nature, culture and history while enjoying enormously the experience. My teenage daughter discovered several new aspects of Bulgaria. We were not tired. We plan new itineraries with Bulgaria Fairy Tale. Highly recommended!
