          Long but worthwhile trip
Scenic views on the way. Dimo was a great guide and driver. Long drive straight to Skopje and two hours walking tour with guide and two hours free time. Skopje is very nice and walkable city.

          Great experience!
Although the ride there took a bit long in a small bus, it was compensated by the interesting stories of the nice guides who also drove. In Skopje, we were accompanied by a Macedonian guide who took us to the canyons. He really did his best to make us feel as comfortable as possible. Nothing was too crazy or too much to ensure a great experience.

          Perfect trip
What a perfect private tour of Rila monastery and Boyana church. This was just a tour with 2 people and the guide. The guide was really relaxed and made the trip about us and what we wanted to see. This made us feel relaxed and made it more a conversation that just a typical tour. We went for lunch at this perfect ‘non tourist’ spot by the river which was a highlight of the day also. All round, I’d recommend this to anyone wanting a great day exploring while it not feeling touristy.

Highly Recommend Day Trip to Skopje, North Macedonia!
It was an interesting trip! Our driver from Bulgaria (Kiril) was knowledgeable and kept us entertained on the drive to Skopje with stories and interesting facts about Bulgaria and North Macedonia. Our guides in Macedonia (Lena in Skopje and Vlado at the Matka Canyon) did a great job! This trip gives you some insight into the complex history of the region and also a great view of the beautiful countryside of both Bulgaria and RNM on the drive to and from Skopje. It's long day (about 12 hours start to finish) so bring some water and snacks for the road!

Fabulous Introduction to a New Country!
Really enjoyed our trip to Serbia with this company. Laura our guide was fabulous - friendly, knowledgeable and always happy to help. We also really appreciated the hotel pick up and drop off option, which made the whole process so much easier. The trip to Constance the Great’s Villa and the Skull Tower were fascinating. We would’ve perhaps liked a little more time in Nis itself to soak up the atmosphere in a Serbian city, but otherwise the trip was thoroughly enjoyable and I’d definitely recommend it to get a glimpse of Serbia.

          Lovech , Devetaki cave, Krushuna
I visited Lovech, devetaki cave and Krushuna waterfalls with BulTrips, and it was absolutely worth the price! Our driver, Viso, was fantastic. He shared the rich history of all the places we visited and even shared some delicious cherries with us. His sense of humor kept us entertained throughout the trip. I highly recommend this tour, especially with Viso as the driver!

          Great trip, fantastic guide.
We really enjoyed this trip. Our guide, Maria was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and flexible. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Her English is excellent and she really gave us a taste of the true Bulgaria. Her enthusiasm for, and love of, her country was infectious. The tour itself was extremely well organised with pick up and drop off from our apartment. The trip to Lovech was 2.5 hrs with a midway break for drinks and a comfort stop. The trip was exactly as described and Maria was flexible and allowed us to guide how long we spent in each place. We would highly recommend the trip.

          An enjoyable experience to remember
Our experience with our leading guide, Dimitar, was excellent. He was highly professional, patient, and extremely knowledgeable. Our local guide in Skopje, Lena, was truly outstanding. We had a well-balanced itinerary, including a 2-hour guided tour and 2 hours to explore on our own and enjoy the surroundings. Despite the hot weather, we were able to appreciate the beautiful architecture and delve deep into North Macedonia's rich history. We are very grateful to the team for taking care of us, ensuring our safety, and providing us with a memorable and enjoyable experience.

Great intimate tour of the Rila Monastery
We booked this tour to avoid the chaos of large bus tours and get some quality time with a local expert. Our guide Laura did not disappoint, she was great. Very knowledgeable about the history of the region and the monastery. Laura did a great job of balancing the guided time of the tour with free time for us to roam and explore. The bread at the Monastery's bakery was incredible! The frescoes at the main chapel were beautiful and Laura provided a lot of info that made them come to life. She even understands the older Bulgarian language the Monks use to chant. This tour was worth every lev and I highly recommend it if you want a more personal and focused experience.

Interesting tour, quite an adventure with pros and cons
Bultrips certainly delivered a very interesting day trip to Devetaki caves, Krushuna waterfalls and Lovech. There were only three of us on the tour which made it quite personal and allowed us to ask our guide (Veysel) lots of questions. He was extremely friendly and enthusiastic on the trip telling us everything we needed to know about the different locations. However, he did have a very very strong accent and we all often struggled to understand him even as native English speakers. I believe a non native English speaker would not understand much of what he said at all. The caves, waterfalls and lovech were all really amazing places and a must see when in Bulgaria. The tour ended up being around 12 hours and should have ideally been shorter. This is because the van we were in broke while on the way to the waterfalls and we had to wait in a service station for about an hour to get another car. This new car had lights that did not work meaning we got pulled over by the police later on in the tour to get fined which was not a very nice experience. Unfortunately the road was closed to the waterfalls due to an accident so the drive there took even longer than expected, and although I did not mind, I had to do some navigating to get us to the waterfalls on a different route as the guide was not sure where to go. I know some people would not be as happy doing this. The tour was less organised than expected, especially for the hefty price of £120/€140/$150. Two of us payed this price whereas the third payed around £50 less and I still don’t understand why that is. A highlight of the tour is definitely the flexibility. With such a small group, you can decide when and where you want to see things, stop for breaks, lunch etc. which was very nice. Overall I had a brilliant day out as it was quite an adventure, however for a well organised, smooth tour I would not recommend it.

          Day trip to Nis
Lovely day in Nis and nearby. Rosen was an excellent tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. Nis itself is a neat town and the local food is very good. The skull tower and the concentration camp were very powerful and memorable places.

I traveled through Bulgaria to the Buzludzha Mountain/ monument with Daniel Milushev. It was an amazing experience. Daniel should be teaching history at the University with such a knowledge about history of Bulgaria and his neighbors countries. He is a polite and very intelligent person who at the end of the trip became a friend. Two thumbs up!
