We did 2 transfer tours, a day tour and walking tour of Sarajevo with Funky tours. The coordinators are all helpful and prompt in responding to our queries which we greatly appreciate. The tours were well planned and we were able to cover many sights within the day despite the short days during the winter season. All the tour guides assigned to us (Adnan, Ajla, Doris and Stefan) were very professional and took great care of us during the tour. We learnt a lot about the history of the country through their engaging sharing. They were also open about sharing their personal / family experiences during the Bosnian war helped to shed a a lot of misperceptions about this beautiful country. If we visit Eastern Europe again in future, we will definitely engage their services again cos we know we will be in good hands of the professional team.

We were looking for things to do and opted for the wine tour with Funky Tours. We travelled from Sarajevo and as a result of the railway line being out the train wasn't running. We arranged with them for two transfers Sarajevo To Mostar and then Mostar to Sarajevo with our tour sandwiched in the middle. Our tour guide Ajla (Isla) met us at the hotel along with the driver, they had selected 3 x local winery tours near to Mostar. The afternoon was fantastic with the weather helping to compliment the wine and local food. This was a slow and enjoyable afternoon with both Ajla and the staff at the locations we visited guiding us through our tasting. Also trying some of the spirits brewed at the winery's helped lubricate the afternoon. Both the journey to and from Mostar were leisurely and enjoyable with our drivers Humza and Tariq being very knowledgeable sharing their experience in living in Sarajevo through the war. I would recommend Funk Tours if you are looking to do small group guided tours. We were a group of 6 and the transport was comfortable for our journeys and tour. We had intended to make use of the train but wasn't able to do so, the guys in the office were able to help and will try and facilitate most of your requests to meet your needs. Fascinating trip into Serbia, the guide Senad was awesome and had much information to share. The ride was long and some of the “ sites” were mediocre but well worth it to travel and explore the geographic location and to see my 51 st country bi highly recommend this tour!

My mom and I took this tour with Mustapha and we learned so much from him! It was amazing to hear about the siege of Sarajevo from the viewpoint of someone who had actually lived through it. The stories of the time really came alive and we are so grateful that these precious (and difficult!) stories were shared with us. It is a gift. There was also a mix up with the tour we had booked when we were first picked up in the morning but the Funky Tours staff handled it with such grace and care. At the time, my mom also had a leg injury and was moving with a lot of pain. Mustapha was very kind and thoughtful and found alternatives for my mom to make the tour easier for her.

My mom and I took this tour with Ayla and had just the most wonderful day. We were amazed by her knowledge and really appreciated learning from her. It was a private tour so we had the chance to take our time and really experience the sights as we wanted and needed. At the time, my mom also had a leg injury and was moving with a lot of pain. What an incredible morning this was. Our guide Adnan fought in the war, worked with the UN afterwards and is still to this day involved in current conflicts as a political scientist. We both had some knowledge of the Siege of Sarajevo but his insight and method of delivery brought all the events to life. It’s a long 4 hours so take some water and it can get cold in the mountains. I had the MOST INCREDIBLE experience with Funky Tours. I did the Croatia sailing and it was amazing to see so many hidden gems and national parks. The yacht was EXTREMELY luxurious, the crew was awesome and the food was refreshing and delicious. My favorite part was being able to snorkel and get fresh oysters delivered boatside. Would highly recommend anyone and everyone to do the Croatia sailing tour. It is the BEST WAY TO see Croatia!

I had the incredible opportunity to take a 4-day catamaran cruise around Croatia with Funky Tours, and it was nothing short of extraordinary! As a full-time traveler, it’s rare for something to truly take my breath away, but this experience did exactly that. My friend and I are still raving about it! From the moment we boarded the sleek, modern catamaran, we were welcomed by our captain and skipper and shown to our cozy cabins. With only four cabins on board, the cruise felt intimate, allowing for a maximum of 8 guests. We shared the journey with three amazing women from London on a birthday getaway, which made it even more memorable and fun! Every morning, the captain served up an amazing breakfast, and lunch in the afternoons was equally delicious—you’d swear he was a professional chef! The highlights? Visiting untouched islands and stunning national parks, swimming in some of the clearest waters I’ve ever seen, and an unforgettable stop at an oyster farm where freshly shucked oysters were delivered to us by boat right from the farm! This trip was truly an unbeatable value, and I’m already looking forward to exploring more Funky Tours adventures for future travels!

I participated in a catamaran trip in Croatia organized by Funky Tours and my experience was great: excellent responsiveness during the planning and reservation process, and professionality both prior and during the tour. The experience of sailing the catamaran was amazing, visiting beautiful spots in the Kornati Archipelago and Kkra National Park that are off the beaten track. The skipper was experienced and the host was thoughtful, professional and friendly. I loved the freshly cooked food on board. As a solo traveler, I felt safe and in good hands. Would definitely recommend the catamaran experience with Funky tours and hope to try other tours offered by them.

I booked two tours with Funky Tours as a solo traveller keen to experience the history, culture and natural scenery of Bosnia and Herzegovina. I did the Mostar and Four Cities Tour (including Kravice Waterfalls) followed by the Siege of Sarajevo and Tito's Bunker tour. Both were wonderful, informative, moving experiences. On both days we travelled in a small group and managed to see everything on the itinerary. The guides for both tours were excellent and had their own personal, moving stories to tell about living through the war. Bosnia and Herzegovina is a beautiful country with a fascinating history and a bright future ahead. Personal highlights were swimming at Kravice Waterfalls (although this was quite short due to time constraints) and the incredible Cold War timewarp into Tito's Bunker. I would definitely travel with Funky Tours again.

Ema and the Funky Tours team were extremely helpful in our planning. Ema was always go the extra mile to ensure we got all the info we needed. Our trip from Sarajevo to Kotor Bay was amazing and truly memorable. The landscape was so beautiful and our guide Ammar was outstanding - he was passionate, informative, engaging and entertaining. Our trip experiences were much beyond exceptional and we truly believe that because Funky tour did everything from their heart. All the way it was so fun, beautiful, well plan and relax, we felt like taking a family trip, not joining a tour. I absolutely LOVED the tour I did with Funky Tours! It was my favorite of the ones I did during my visit, and (though I'm blanking on the names of the guide I had going out, and the one who returned us to Sarajevo), they were both terrific. Being a nature lover, the Tara Canyon hike stands out foremost in my mind, but I equally loved the train ride, the relaxing and beautiful boat trip in Serbia, and time to explore the stone village, and the wooden village was interesting as well! The guide we had going out was great - patient, informative, helpful, and a joy to spend the day with. The guide bringing us back was also fun to chat with and accommodated with an extra stop when leaving the canyon for myself and the other couple on the tour to get a photo of the stunning mountains. I can't speak highly enough of my experience with Funky Tours - both the guides and my correspondence with the ladies in the office. The guides helped make this an unforgettable day in my trip, and hope to have the pleasure of booking with Funky Tours again on a future visit!!

Funky Tours put together a package for me, including 2 half day and one full day tour from Sarajevo, transfer tours from Zagreb to Sarajevo and from Sarajevo to Mostar, hotel in Sarajevo. All this was organised and I just had to turn up. Everything was well planned, the communications and service were spot on. All the guides, drivers and office staff were knowledgeable and completely charming. The price was very reasonable too.

This is a great day out. We saw so much and found out so much about the history of the region. The guide and driver were both excellent, supportive and knowledgeable. The high point for me was the ride on the Sargan 8 Train, which went right up the mountain and back down again. We saw so much - national parks, woods and mountains and rivers. I recommend this highly.
