Perfect mixed trip (self-guided and guided) with Greenvisions in september 2024 - highly recommended
We made in september 2023 a mixed individual trip with Greenvisions: first week Bjelasnica-hike self-guided and the a 5 days guided trip with Lorenc Konaj from the Greenvision team in the Sutjeska National Park, which is quite different from landscape and mountains. We could not have chosen better : fantastic wild landscapes, friendly people and all well organized by Greenvisions; nothing to complain. Lorenc was a fantastic, welcoming and professional guide for the Sutjeska mountains and you could feel the pleasure guiding us in his home country. He showed us amazing landscapes and parts of the country which are not easy to find and to discover yourself. Greenvisions provided for the second part of the trip a four-wheeled car wich enables access to some of the unpaved mountain roads to avoid starting deep in the valley. Hotels and guesthouses chosen by Greenvisions were perfect and we experienced from simple mountain huts to very comfortable hotels everything. We would go again with Lorenc and Greenvisions without any hesitation. Highly recommended. Please keep in mind that the selfguided trip on Bjelasnica requires good physical fitness and mountain hiking experience, as the terrain is sometimes difficult and the trail in parts not so well marked, but with the gps-track provided by Greenvisions we had no problems . Greenvision was flexible concerning changes caused by bad weather and some health issues, so we adapted the trip in the Sutjeska mountains to local conditions and our abilities. I would like to advise you to make like us a longer trip in Bosnia as it is always possible to have 3-4 days of really bad weather - as everywhere in the higher mountains of Europe. We would love to come back to Bosnia in future Julian & Jana

Hiking in Bosnia and Montenegro on the White Trail
My husband and I and 8 others, did a 10 day hiking trip starting in Sarajevo, Bosnia and ending in Podgorica, Montenegro. The trip was spectacular thanks to Samer, our guide, the beautiful mountains, the well chosen trails, the interesting range of lodging, a wild but safe rafting trip and more. Samer adapted the itinerary according to the weather and the needs of individual hikers. He is skillful, intelligent, warm, patient, cheerful, flexible, and knowledgeable about Balkan history and culture.

      Hiking in Bosnia and Montenegro
Our ten day Via Dinarica tour in Bosnia and Hercegovina and in Montenegro included hiking in the mountains that hosted the 1984 Olympics near Sarajevo, in Sutjeska National Park, and in Durmitor National Park. It also included a rafting trip on the Tara River. Our lodgings were always comfortable, with wonderful local food. I especially enjoyed the fresh vegetables and cheeses. My favorite day of the trip was when we hiked from the village of Umoljani, where we were staying in a guest house run by a local family, to the village of Lukomir, high in the mountains, with views over Rakitnica Canyon. Our guide, Samer Hajrik did a great job navigating the challenges caused by weather, varying fitness levels, and other emergencies that popped up. He shared the love he has for his country and a wealth of information that has left me wanting to learn more about this part of the world. I especially loved learning about the ways the Via Dinarica is creating bonds between countries and seeing first hand how the long-distance hiking route benefits nearby communities.

      Amazing experience!
I was a member of a hiking group from the USA enjoying a trip with Green Visions. Our 10 day trip began in Sarajevo, Bosnia and ended in Podgorica, Montenegro. The hiking was awesome, the people friendly, the food delicious, the wine wonderful and our guide, Samer Hajric was GREAT! I highly recommend Green Visions for their organization, attention to detail and pride in their country.

Well organized, friendly, spectacular self-guided hike
Green Visions is the go-to organization to help you hike through Bosnia. Samer, a staff leader, provided us with all the information, maps, and GPS coordinates we needed. Green Visions found solid accommodations for us--particularly the Pansion Umoljani, a family-run inn with terrific food. Bosnia is safe and beautiful. It is also poor and not a tourist trap place. You can truly enjoy the countryside and the cities of Mostar and Sarajevo. Green Visions can help along the way. Highly recommended.

      Beautiful Hike
Beautiful walk up into the mountains led by Alan, guide from Sarajevoinsider tour company. I am over 65 but managed pretty well so don’t be afraid to do this worth the effort. Alan was very considerate, kept an eye to make sure the pace was ok and provided good explanation along the way but provided enough quiet time to soak up the magnificent landscape filled with wild flowers. Lokomir village well worth a visit. Great food and refreshment in the little restaurant at the village. So glad I did this.

The beginning of an amazing experience
I am enormously grateful to Green Vision for making my summer one of the best experiences in my life. Samer is the most efficient and kind person I have ever met. He organized a truly magical hiking trip. Thanks to him, I hiked many mountains while learning so much about Bosnian history. The hikes, the food, and meeting amazing people, like my favorite person in Bosnia, Evelin (the best guide ever), have earned my great admiration for the Bosnian country and culture. There is no doubt that I am coming back and will recommend Green Vision to hiking friends back home. Next year, I hope to return with friends to share this wonderful experience and continue discovering more mountains and lakes in Bosnia. Thank you.

      Bosnia..Great trip
We booked a week in Bosnia prior to a Croatia tour. The company that arranged our Bosnia tour was Green Vissions. Our guide was Sameer who was absolutely fabulous. We started in Sarajevo and spent 2 days there. We then went up in the mountains where we did two days of hikes in the most beautiful mountains anywhere. We moved on to Mostar and eventually on to Dubrovnik. We made multiple stops at various locals and historic sites. A bonus on this tour was having Sameer who answered our hundreds of questions and truly educated us on Bosnia and the history through the years. Would highly recommend this to anyone. The beauty of this trip is that it is not nearly as touristy as Croatia. If you are a hiker...you won't be dissapointed. We did not raft but that is another option.

Fantastic trip to Bosnia and Herzegovina
Recently returned from leading an undergraduate student field trip to Bosnia and Herzegovina. Green Visions provided superb support, both before and during the trip. Our guide, Laurenc, was incredibly welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for him. He helped to ensure that all 21 students, as well as the five staff accompanying them, had an enjoyable, interesting and very rewarding visit to this beautiful country.

A great trip with an amazing guide
Just come back from a great trip where we taken around Bosnia and Herzegovina, from Sarajevo, Mostar and Kravica Waterfalls. Our guide, Lorenc, was absolutely amazing. He made us all feel very welcome and at home and taught us a great deal about the country. Couldn’t fault him if I tried and wish him the very best!

      Thank you!
Lorenc was my guide for a university trip and was incredible - he was so caring, knowledgeable, and funny! Truly a gem! Cannot thank him enough for showing us his beautiful country with such skill and warmth! He made an effort to get to know every individual and meet their own needs, always prioritising our enjoyment and wellbeing. The amount of Lorenc’s friends we came across was a true testament to his character and it is easy to understand why he is so beloved. Thank you Green Visions!

      Reeducational
My favourite part of the trip is the Old Town tour. There is a street where you can see a clear line at which Western culture and Eastern culture meets each other. From this, I see harmony in diverse culture. Difference does not necessarily mean conflict but can be appreciated with the co-existence. I think the most attractive feature of the trip is that through the explanation by our guide Larenc about some daily things, e.g. buildings, handcrafts, etc., you can get a sense of the temperament of this nation and its people. They experienced both the highlight days and the lowest points of their history, from which they demonstre a widsom, taking what life throws to them and moving forward. Moreover, Larenc shows the quality of this post-conflict state with his generosity and kindness to always give a hand. People who have the background of war knows best about how others need help. I would suggest future tourists to do some pre-reading about the history, politics and development in Yugoslavia, during wars and after wars. In this way, you can get as much as possible from hearing your guide's explanation.

      Amazing, tailored and insightful
We had Lorenc as our guide for our university study trip! He has been the most amazing person and made our trip truly amazing! From recommending the best restaurants, to walking you to the most convenient supermarkets, to answering any questions… Lorenc has remarkably knowledgeable on everything related to Bosnia, from its beautiful mountains and lakes to its politics and history! Lorenc is one of the most kind and knowledgeable people I have ever met :) If you want to explore Bosnia with a local who has excellent knowledge, knows the best spots and is great presence to be around, I couldn’t recommend green vision and Lorenc enough!!

The best tour guide in the country!
Had the best week ever with Lorenc! He was so knowledgeable and passionate about his country, it really inspired me and everyone i went with. We explored both sarajevo and mostar and other little excursions on the way. He truly made our experience, and has really made me what to return. However, returning to Bosnia will not be the same without having the amazing local knowledge that Lorenc does! truly one of the kindest men i’ve ever met with genuine care for everyone! Could not recommend enough!!!

Superb experience with great professionals - in our case, multi-generational experience.
If someone has told me that traveling with two small kids (3 and 6) plus older parents would be smooth, fun and recharging - I wouldn’t believe it.. much. But now Green Vision’s team, especially Lorenc (one of a kind guide) raised the bar forever! It was amazing diving into the history and culture of Bosnia and Herzegovina - spending a few days in Sarajevo and the area and then visiting the South - Mostar and experiencing more Herzegovina. The richness of the history, cultures and food is mind blowing.. oh.. and Tito’s atomic bunker is also not to miss! Big thanks to the entire team and I hope we will be back again with a more active itinerary, once the kids are ready for (harder) adventures :) can’t wait to come for Via Dinarica! We will be in touch.. meanwhile, we are recommending to our friends and close ones. See you!

Snowshoeing in the mountains was an amazing experience that I would recommend to anyone coming to Sarajevo. Thanks to our guide Samer for being helpful with planning and introducing us to hiking, snowshoeing and climbing mountains. Of all the great things we did in Bosnia, this was the highlight.

Sarajevo surrounding hides many interesting places and Skakavac Waterfall is definitely one of them. Very interesting in summer, but we think even more striking in winter. So we're glad you had a chance to experience it in these conditions. Thank you for your nice words and hope we'll see you back in Bosnia again.
