- Nacho_esp8900Learning about the SiegeThe tour to the "Tunel of Hope" is a great opportunity to learn about the Siege of Sarajevo and better understand the history of the city. I totally liked it!
- robwill4800Sarajevo war tunnel experienceWe added this tour as an extra from our trip. Our group of 7 were taken to see the war tunnel. Safety , our guide was excellent. His knowledge and experience of living through the seige of sarajevo was incisive and touching. We all came away with a good knowledge of something we only saw on TV in the 90's. Thank you, and keep up the good work.
- danmY8266TS00BrilliantOur guide was Emina Koso. We had a brilliant time on our trip to Mostar and other cities. She was informative and friendly - it was fascinating to learn about her experiences growing up in Sarajevo during the war. She was flexible when we asked for an extra hour in Mostar. Would highly recommend.
- 518brittnyk00Great your & wonderful guideTour was amazing way to see all the highlights of Sarajevo. My guide, Adisa, was knowledgeable and passionate about the history of this incredible city. Highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Sarajevo for the first time as it gives you a great overview of everything the city has to offer.
- KatanuM00Moving tribute to Sarajevo's ingenuityThis was a very moving and enlightening tour. Our guide shared his personal experience of life during the siege of Sarajevo as well as provided a wide-ranging and well-articulated history. It was well organised and I would recommend this as a way to better understand one of the tragic periods of Balkan history.
- SnowyShasta00Great overview of Sarajevo and the siegeWe participated in the "Times of Misfortune" tour and enjoyed the experience. This was mostly a driving tour; our driver and guide was in Sarajevo and fought during the siege. I would have liked to hear more about his personal experiences but understood that he didn't want to talk about them. Having the van was a nice way to reach locations far from the center of town. The main stops were the Yellow Fortress, above the east side of the city, and then the War Tunnel on the far west. We also drove past some of the Olympic sites. I wouldn't have minded more time out of the van at those sites (the web site wasn't very clear about what you'd see/do along the route), but our goal was to view the War Tunnel, and we had adequate time there to see and experience them.
- Trevon P00Do it!!!Well worth the moderate price. I really enjoyed the cable car ride and the bobsled track was super interesting. Just remember: The further you walk down the bobsled track, the tougher your walk back up will be...
- paul306800Huge font of knowledge and experienceAbsolutely fantastic. Nermin was a wealth of knowledge, friendly and funny and serious when needed to be, what this guy doesn’t know isn’t worth knowing, second time I’ve done this tour with him….if you want the best tour in Sarajevo. Then choose these guys
- BeemerF65000Insider Tours free walking tour.Just done the hour and half free walking tour from Insider Tours. Our guide was Fariz and he gave us a wonderful insight into the major sights and places in the city. Some lovely anecdotes about the rulers and citizens added an insight into what a wonderful multicultural, multi faith city this is.
- BeemerF65000A 'Must do' tour.A' must do' tour, if you want to gain some understanding of the 1992-1995 siege of Sarajevo. Our guide Nermin was an 18 year old police officer when the war started. His in depth knowledge of the history and personal experience of living through those dreadful times made this tour all the more unique. He is passionate about passing on the details of this war, and the complexities of the nationalist and ethnicity factors behind it. Excellent value tour. Many thanks.
- joshsantafe00Tour Guide reviewI had the pleasure to have a one on one tour with my guide Dorris. She was incredibly knowledgeable in all areas and has a very confident persona. You could tell she had a lot of passion for the history of her home country and it she conveyed that very well through her stories. She does tours in English, Spanish, French and Bosnian. I highly recommend her.
- 709rainel00Beautiful Moster and a Happy Day there! The views are amazing! We took many photos there and the service is 5 stars. A nice day for Mostar!
- Juggy0100War tunnel tourSafet was our tour guide, he was very knowledgeable and answered all questions from me. Well organised and on time. Highly recommended!
- I2564ZBtomasc00Wonderful insights for a first visit on Bosnia-Hercegovenia5+ towns in Hercegovenia, full day tour, became the best travel excursion of this kind for many years. Last summer and still in most fond memory. Guide Safet Begic personally made this into an informative, varied, pleasant and really outstanding experience. Best possible choices of stops and excellent sense of time there without any stress despite so much packed into the day. Apart from Mostar not so much towns as "places" but lots to see and hear also while going around. 5 out of 5, plus extra stars!
- elifbulutt00Safet is definitely a very good guide!Definitely Safet was a very good and polite guide. He toured not only Mostar, he took us also important places around Mostar. He provided constant information throughout the trip and it was a very fun, friendly trip. When you come to Sarajevo, I definitely recommend you to join tours with Safet. He helps with everything and conveys his knowledge.

Awesome and inspiring tour through the stunning city center of Sarajevo. We (2 persons) got a “private” tour on short notice for a decent price. Our guide Bojan was very friendly and knowledgeable. He took his time to answer all our questions and offered great insights not only on the history of the city and the country. Thanks Bojan, keep up the great work!

Enes was a great guide for the city that taught us about the history going back to the Ottomans, Austrians and the tragic war after the breakup of Yugoslavia. He really guided us to see how vibrant and diverse the city is with the churches, mosques and synagogues.
He was super friendly funny and insightful would fully recommend

This was the best city walking tour I have ever done, I cannot recommend it enough if you are a first time visitor to Sarajevo like I was.
My tour ended up being like a private tour because I was the only one who booked that day, which was a lucky surprise. My tour guide was Haris, who was the best. He was extremely friendly, personable, knowledgeable and funny, you can tell he really loves the city and his job of showing visitors the history, culture and beauty of Sarajevo.
He showed me all the important sights of Sarajevo, including the city hall, many mosques, churches and synagogues, the assassination spot of Franz Ferdinand, the bazaar, the bridges, the house of spite, and all the little merchant streets in Baščaršija, plus many more, while explaining the history behind these sights, like the Ottoman, Austrohungarian, Yugoslav and Bosnian past. He gave me many good recommendations of things to do and see, and places to eat while I was in Sarajevo as well. He answered all the questions I had and really went into depth about Bosnian culture, which was great.
It was a very nice touch to have traditional Bosnian coffee and selap together, letting me try the traditional Bosnian baklava and showing me a few of the shops selling handmade crafts. He gave me some good recommendations for souvenirs which I ended up going back to get.
Overall I cannot recommend it enough, this was a true show of Bosnian hospitality and I’m very grateful for showing me your amazing city. Thanks very much!

I stayed at the President Hotel, and the Insider Tour office was located around the corner. Took the opportunity to undertake a walking tour of the city in the morning, and a Tunnel Tour in the afternoon.
Both tours where competitively priced, and the guides were both friendly knowledgeable and helpful and spoke perfect English.

We've been to several countries and in all of them we try to do a walking tour in the major cities to get the history and background of that city. THIS tour was hands down the BEST tour we have ever done. Haris was our tour guide and he went above and beyond explaining the history of the city and showing us the various areas while being patient with all our questions and explaining in a non biased way the history of the Serbs and Bosnians. Sarajevo hadsnow topped my favorites list of cities to visit. There is so much to see and do and the beauty of the city itself, not to mention the people, created a memorable trip for us. Thank you Haris!!

A great tour with all the sights you need to see in the city. The guide took me around on foot in the city for 2 hours, (with heavy rain) and was very insightful with her knowledge. She also told me about some 'old wives tales' of the city, and it was very entertaining overall. She was also kind enough to recommend gifts and tokens that i should take back with for friends.

We went on a great walking tour of Sarajevo lead by tour guide Emina. The experience was great. We got detailed information about Sarajevo as a city as well as the Bosnian culture mixed with a personal touch. Would highly recommend this tour and Emina as a tour guide. :)

The tour was super nice and we could ask all kind of questions. The authentic answers helped us to gain a better understanding of the events in the city and to get an overview of the city. Alem was a great guide.

We had a very nice and knowledgable tour guide who showed us around and managed to make us learn everything about the history of Sarajevo. It was explained in such a way that even if it was a lot of information, it was very well explained and I walked away from this tour feeling like I learned a lot of new things. I would definitely recommend this tour if you want to start your morning right after breakfast and learn about the culture and history.

Our guide, Irfan, was superb at explaining Bosnian history as the background for the story of Sarajevo. The time flew by as he showed us historic buildings and Old Town's fascinating little byways. He gave us several ideas for further sights to see, as well as a great cevapci restaurant where we lunched afterward. We truly enjoyed this tour as our introduction to this lovely town.
