Today, we joined the City and Food Tour in Tirana with Aron. It was well over and above our expectations. Aron is extremely knowledgeable and very passionate about his country, its history, diversity and evolution. Our discoveries and learnings were numerous. Aron is very kind and the pace of the tour was most pleasurable. Food was excellent (loved the ice cream) and we would highly recommend this tour. We had a great time with Sindi cooking traditional Albanian dishes and we had a great group of people to share it with. Don’t book this if you need to drive anywhere afterwards we were very well looked after. Lots of good food, wine and laughter!

Cannot fault the guys with this. Good fun from beginning to end and all taught brilliantly. Don't worry if your Google maps doesn't get you quite there they'll have someone nearby looking for the lost tourist! All in all a wonderful experience would recommend to everyone.

A long car-drive to get to Ohrid, but thanks to a very informative driver (Julio/xhulio) we got a lot of information during the ride. His English was also excellent. Smooth border crossings. Nice restaurant for lunch in Ohrid.

It was an amazing trip with "Go As Local". I absolutely felt the local vibes all across, as I experienced the local culture, local food, spent time with village people, stopped the car on the midway and plucked wild Berrys - i totally soak into local cultures with breathtaking vlews of nature. Thanks to my guide Endri, who has good knowledge about local cultures, history and moreover he is a vibrant easygoing person. He was always there to accomodate my convenience. We had good boys' time out together. Andi, thank you for helping me with customized itenerary. It was totally worth.

Just returned home from a wonderful culinary experience and had to take a moment to write a review. Sindi’s traditional cooking class was so well organized and very delicious. From the homemade wine her father made, the butter her mother whipped and the delicious meal she taught us to cook, to the venue itself (her city home) the entire experience felt authentically Albania. Si do herself was so lovely and had a wonderfully laid back personality which lent ease and fun to the afternoon. I highly recommend this activity and strongly encourage you to COME HUNGRY!!

Aron was a good guide. We had a great experience, delicious food but the Raki was a interesting and different treat.

We had Josef as our guide and he was so helpful to us and the other couple on the tour. He knew the area well and gave us lots of advice as it was our first time in Albania. The lake and mountains are stunning and Josef kindly took pictures for us too.

We had an amazing day with our tour guide Josef. He showed us the nicest places along the Riviera and told some interesting facts about the places we saw. We ended our day at the blue eye for a refreshing swim. We definitely loved this tour and would recommend it to anyone!

Cindy was absolutely great! Well organized and very nice to deal with. The kitchen where the preparation took place was very inviting and everything was laid out ready. It was lovely to have a chance to speak to a local Albanian and to get an insight into life there. We all had a very memorable time !

We booked this tour with Go as Local, because we didn't want to drive all the way up to the north by ourselves. We were picked up in our hotel in Tirana and everything felt so familiar from the start, as we were just 3 people doing the tour. The drive on the ferry with its beautiful scenery was only the beginning of a wonderful journey. The guest houses were wonderful and the food of best quality. We really enjoyed the hike on day 2 in this wonderful landscape. All in all a perfect way to see some parts of the Albanian alps, enjoying good company with the guide/drivers and getting to know this amazing country a little bit better.

I usually do not write reviews but I have to make an exception here because this tour was truly amazing and was one of my best traveling experiences so far! Together with two other Swiss girls, we had Redi as tour guide. The mixture of nature, people, hospitality, food and locations was unique and unforgettable. First, the ferry trip of the first day was breathtaking with continuous views of mountains, forests and high rocks falling down the river/lake. Second, the hike of the day after was very well organized and words can’t really describe the beauty of the high mountain pics present throughout all the way from Valbone to Theth. Third, I really loved the discovery trip of Theth on the last day, with another hike to remember, a beautiful waterfall and canyon but also the church and the isolation tower, rich in history and traditions. These are just the main highlights without forgetting all the small details, hidden places and amazing time we spent together with Redi and the other drivers. Five stars are not enough to rate this tour! Thank you so much and I hope to see you again, in another tour next year 😊 Kosti

Day trip to Strega and Ohrid lake was so much fun. Redi, the guide explained history in detail. He picked me up from my hotel on time. It was fun talking with Redi while he was driving to both places. I recommend this tour for nature lovers and to them who is interested to know about the history of Strega. Redi is awesome to have as guide.
