Culture, Gorgeous Gardens and Medicinal Mud,
This was a wonderful experience. Our guide Avi gave us so much information along the way. We stopped off first at a traditional village and were introduced to some local wares before being taken on a tour and taught about history and daily life. The plants at the Garden of the Sleeping Giant were stunning. You’ll be rewarded for the hot walk up the hill by the view back across Fiji, including the bright blue ocean dotted with islands. And the cold fruit drink refreshment is like liquid gold. When we made it to the mud pools we were paired with a beautiful guide who explained the significance of the place as the locals’ hospital, how it featured in WW2, and the incredible benefits of the minerals. The on-site massages were the icing on the cake. Prepare to feel insanely relaxed. Tip: both the massage and trinkets on-site at the mud pools are very well priced. We were even taken past some cheap and tasty local fish and chips on the way home.

        Amazing experience
We had a terrific experience and Avi was a great guide. This is a terrific excursion to see a different side of Fiji and we felt like it was perfect. Shopping in Nadi, learning about the temple, and the garden of the sleeping giant were all so much fun. Ending it with the thermal spa and mud pool was perfect. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking to step outside their resort for the day.

        Very disappointed in this tour.
I found this specific tour as we DID NOT want the mud baths, and this was supposed to be shorter and NOT include the mud baths. Not knowing the distance between downtown and the mud baths, I received a message saying that the others on our tour wanted the mud baths and we could add the price, but we ended up waiting in the van for them, then ended up in 5:00 traffic and missed an event at our hotel, as it took us over an hour to get back to our hotel, which made our tour over 5 hours, most of which was in a van.

        A FIji way of life
Our time with Avi our tour guide was informative, attention to respect of the Fiji cultural & history. We are alot more aware of the beauty that Fiji has. Drove in comfort & given water to keep hydrated. Love that we had a local giving us the Fiji way of life. Kep it going this way for future tourist. CHEERS

        Great Fiji escape
We are currently staying at this resort. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from on site and bars galore. Entertainment every night, Nannie’s to look after your kids, buses and golf carts to take you where you want to go on site you can call when you need them. Rooms are clean and ours had recently been updated. Staff are friendly beyond words. Love the place

Fun to do but what a shame it’s so terribly run down!
The changing rooms were pretty awful. Don’t expect ANY luxury at this place. Very run down but still fun. The experience of slopping on mud was wonderful but the pool to do a first sluice off was not inviting. The water was pretty hot but even hotter in the final seperate sluice off pool. If you’re a person who is fussy about getting into what looks like an extremely muddy dam, don’t do this!

Give It a Try, You'll be Glad You Did!
What an amazing experience & I hate heights! Our guides Nate & BA, PHENOMENAL; they carried all our drinks & did all our amazing videos & photos while we zipped! The history of the cave was an interesting stop before our decent back down & we can't forget the ladies & the DELICIOUS lunch and the Villagers for their crafts.

        Spiritual day
We enjoyed visiting the temple as well as strolling through the gardens at sleeping giant gardens. The farmer’s market was nice but felt awkward because there wasn’t much other than raw produce to buy.

        Not really a tour
I wouldn't really call this a tour. You have no tour guide as such. We were collected by our taxi driver who seemed confused about where we were going/what we were doing. We went off the itinerary that was listed on the booking and got to see all those sites. However, if you have your own car this truly isn't worth it. You're better off driving yourself around to see these sites as, again, there is no tour guide.

        AMAZING Zip lining experience
Such an amazing experience! The zip lining was so much fun, and the cave was beautiful. The crew were so energetic and made it so memorable for our family. Both our kids (8 and 11) loved it. Thanks again!

        Great tour!
We were lucky enough to have a private tour and our guide was fantastic! We enjoyed all the stops and information shared with us throughout the day.

        Very nice driver, Terrible tour
Our tour guide was a pleasant guy but the tour part consisted of comments like "Here is the Hindu temple. Would you like to go in?" The answer should be no. You are probably going to interrupt someone's prayer and there's really not much to see. Info on the sugar refinery was basic but interesting, unfortunately the guide didn't have enough info to answer questions. We never went into the market but we loved the very first village in Fiji. It was fascinating to hear how the village evolved and how the 850 people still live. Pay the extra for one of the villagers to show you around! Crafts sold are very reasonable. Vuda Marina is beautiful but don't make the mistake of going for a meal. Although we ordered 30 minutes before a bus tour showed up we got our food after. An hour and a half is too long to wait. Food wasn't terrible but not great either. Bring a picnic or just order drinks. Drinks came quickly.

        Great informative tour
We went on this tour today and got picked up from The Radisson. The tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. We were provided with water in the car. The temple tour was very interesting. We stopped at a souvenir shop and at a produce market that also sold a few souvenirs. Last we went to the gardens and were provided with a cold drink at the end. None of it felt rushed and we learnt so much. Thank you

A great experience packed full of beauty and fun
So glad we booked this excursion. Better than we hoped. Our guide was brilliant, lots of interesting knowledge and good humour made for a great day out. The markets were interesting, the temple was beautiful and our guide informed us about the Hindu religion which was truly interesting. The sleeping giant mountain and the orchid gardens were so beautiful, we took too many photos. The walk through the gardens to the top of the hill was so humid we look liked we'd been swimming, but soooo worth it. The mudbaths and thermal pools were the perfect way to finish off. Glad we were taken to the ones run by locals. If you're wondering whether its worth it, I can assure you that you willl not be disappointed!. But, you may be a bit hungry at the end. Maybe take some cash and buy some local fruit at the market to keep you going

Pick up from Doubletree Resort cost $30 per adult on top of the cost of the "tour". Then the first stop at the temple is underwhelming, next to the souvenir shop to buy, then to the fresh fruit market to buy more, then to the garden which is quite nice, but everything on a clock, gotbto keep moving. Then to the village, the first in Fiji, but very underwhelming and set up to buy more souvenirs. It felt a bit icky, like we HAD to buy things. Very unfortunate to have paid such a lot of money to mostly be encouraged to spend more, clearly there are relationships or kick backs at each spot.

This was such a comprehensive local tour of Fijian culture! Not only did we get to see how locals live, the local markets etc, our guide Sami was just so friendly and knowledgeable and shared with us so much information the entire time! The trip was enjoyable and a good break from all the water activities, especially if you want to learn more about the culture.

We did this tour as a ship excursion. It was a good way to see the highlights of the area and get a sense of the Fijian culture.

The “handicraft market” turned out to be Jack’s of Fiji. Really? There is a Jack’s store in every hotel and shopping center in Nandi. Taking us to a food market didn’t make any sense. We couldn’t buy anything because we still had several hours of touring ahead of us and would have no way to keep things refrigerated. The historical village was the worst. We were dropped off in front of multiple tables of crafts and trinkets and pressured to buy things we didn’t want. SO uncomfortable and icky. The 4 - 5 hour tour dragged on to 7 hours! No lunch provided! The van was hot and everyone was sweating and starving when we were finally dropped off at 3 pm. Do NOT take this tour. Find some other way to see the orchid gardens. They were the only thing worthwhile on the whole trip.

We got picked up from our resort in an air conditioned mini bus. Didn’t realise this was a private tour so it made it that much better as we were a party of 7. Our driver was amazing, so friendly and welcoming. All our tour guides at the gardens and the village were terrific. We brought along with us some school supplies and sporting equipment for the village children. It was such a humbling day. We stopped off in Nadi town to check out some shops.
