          Vineyard close to Montevideo
Close by the city of Montevideo, easy drive, it was good to get out of the city to a rural setting, great food and wine for lunch

          Disappointing in English
Very disappointing in English. The tour guide did very long explanations in Spanish ( during which the English speakers respectfully stayed quiet) but very short explanations in English (during which the Spanish speakers were all talking making it hard to hear the guide). We had to complain and ask for a better guide who could tell us everything in English, and thankfully they had another guide who was excellent in English. The group was large and it would have been much better to split the group into two smaller groups by language (Spanish and English). The wine was superb, but the tapas lunch was very minimalist.

          Loved this Wine Tour Experience
Pizzorno Winery is exceptional. Very customer service oriented. They also include a great educational experience. The food and wines were fantastic. The people really go out of their way to make sure everything is great. The only part of the tour that was disappointing was the driver. He was a bad driver and didn't have the route figured out in advance; we passed our own hotel three times, AFTER we were picked up! However, he doesn't work for Pizzorno, and the people at the winery dealt with it in an extraordinary way. Even offering us a different van back! I couldn't take a star away from them for that. Thank-you Pizzorno

2 hours picking sick people up, gross
At no point in the booking process does it say you'll be picked up, driven around Montevideo for 2 hours and transferred from a van to a bus full of sick people coughing before you even leave for Colonia. I was picked up at 7:45 and at 9:30 we were still riding around Montevideo picking people up. I don't mind a small group tour (which is what I thought this was based on the description), but big tours with a lot of sick people just isn't my thing. After we made what felt like the 10th stop on the bus, we decided to get off. Multiple people were coughing, a baby had just gotten on board and we really didn't feel comfortable. Tour group refused to give us a refund. Just know in advance you're going to spend most of the day on a bus.

Why even stop at the pencil and keychain museum 😂
The tour guide was really repetitive and her English was terrible but she was polite and had a good attitude. Also the stop at the pencil and keychain museum is a total waste of time.

Absolutely exceptional family-owned vineyard and restaurant
We found this day tour while on a cruise that included Montevideo. We couldn’t have selected a better location. This small, family run winery was charming and the family that operates it passionate about wine. Lucio spent the afternoon with us explaining the processes and the day culminated with one of the best meals with pairings that I have ever tasted. Incredible. I highly recommend this experience.

Great food and wine, and the atmosphere was fantastic. I would highly recommend visiting even just for a meal

          More hype than heft
“Tapas” is a bit generous to describe the the 5 tiny bites of food to accompany a little mother than one glass of wine. Given the large, showy assortment antique cars with the winery’s name on them it was a bit surprising to learn that the establishment is only about 20 yrs old. I wonder if they make as much selling wine as they do marketing an image.

          Worthwhile day trip from Montevideo
This day trip was long but enjoyable. Colonia Sacramento is a beautiful and historical place with something of interest for everyone. The guide came through the bus several times to make sure each one of us was doing well. She did, however, speak way too fast.

          Complete historic and classic Montevideo
Tour was booked for 8 am.Finally picked up after 9 and tour didn’t actually start until 9.30.We booked this tour with an English speaking guide. We could hardly understand a word of her English and other people on the tour said she was speaking too fast.We came away with hardly any understanding of the history of Montevideo which was very disappointing.

          It was okay
Pickup from the hotel in the morning was chaotic (and late), granted it was a stormy day so I want to give some leeway for that. Our guide was nice but she talked so fast we couldn't pickup most of what she was saying, also when we arrived to Colonia we went to the bathroom and when we came out she had left with the entire group and we never found our group again until it was time to leave. The town was nice enough so I'll say it was okay and the farm stop was quirky.

Worth it, but please improve some simple details
Having use trip advisor tours in several countries, we do have some suggestions to make this good tour a great one, like most of the Trip Advisor tours: 1) Eliminate the “ tour “ to the Arenas Farm ( is a store). We could use that extra hour exploring Colonia Sacramento instead of looking at hundreds of pencils and ashtrays. The products at the store are nothing special. 2) Include the entrance ticket to the 5 museums at COLONIA to promote visiting these interesting places ( right now you need to go and purchase on your own the $5.00 pp ticket for all 5 museums at the site). 3) The tour guide spent most of the ride reciting facts mechanically. Interaction with the passengers is ideal. In addition, please remove the unimportant facts on the narration (like the number of students in the school or the number of employs in the health department) to add more interesting HISTORY facts. Also the English narration was shorter and just mumbling. Finally the tour guide kept talking even when there are loud noises line sirens. After half hour of this we gave up trying to follow her. We enjoyed Colonia, and would do it again, but the experience can be a lot better.

Everything was excellent during the tour. Lunch and wines were amazing the service great. Andres, the wine connoisseur presented each wine and told the history in a very professional manner.
We loved the experience and will recommend it very highly
