The Santa Rosa bodega winery was absolutely beautiful! Miguel our local guide and Alejandra our winery guide were both amazing, knowledgeable and super friendly!! We had a wonderful time and a delicious lunch with wine pairings. A day not to be missed, we highly recommend!!

Great experience! They don’t just take you to big, commercial wineries. You get to see smaller or older historic wineries. Great guide/translator Miguel! He was on time, spoke multiple languages, studied the profess of wine making, and very friendly. great wine, and amazing lunch at Santa Rosa winery, over 100 years old! Beautiful cellar and dining area.

It was so wonderful to spend time at Casillo Viejo, meeting the family behind the vineyard who were so lovely and made us feel so at home! Miguel was a super guide with great English and was also an excellent translator for some parts of the tour. The lunch was also amazing and so well matched with the wines. He also provided some great recommendations for what else to do in Montevideo - highly recommend!

Miguel arrived right on time and we had a great drive to the wine country leaning more about Uruguay. At Castillo Viejo we were met my Raquel who gave us an in-depth history of wine making in Uruguay as well as the history of the bodega. She is extremely knowledgeable and was patient in answering all of our questions. Next we proceeded to the amazing cellar where we tasted 4 wines, with very generous pours and a gourmet lunch. Along the way we met family members who own Castillo Viejo and we were warmly welcomed by them. Overall a great experience, very relaxing and most importantly delicious food and wine. I highly recommend the experience.

We had the most amazing time with Ryan on this trip. There were 14 of us from an Atlas cruise and everyone said it was their favorite day tour! Ryan picked us up in a very comfortable roomy van. We arrived at the winery before it opened and we had 4 different wines and an amazing meal. Lots of history of the area and Ryan knows his wine!! 🍷 most bought multiple bottles for the rest of our trip and we were dropped off right at the tender boat back to the ship!! I can’t recommend this trip enough to anyone interested in Uruguay’s premier vineyard!!

Ryan arranged an excellent day to visit two very different wineries and Miguel was a wonderful guide, translator and storyteller who kept us informed and entertained. The hosts at each winery were gracious, hospitable, charming and obviously took pride in their wines. We also appreciated the peaceful country settings.

Wow, I can't say enough about Ryan and this tour! The communication from booking to the tour day was spot on, and Ryan is one of the coolest guys you'll ever meet...so many fascinating stories! The short drive to the winery is picturesque and you'll be amazed as soon as you arrive. The grounds are beautiful, the wines are delicious, and the lunch was by far the best meal of our 2.5 week trip! We had a blast sharing this experience with new friends, and Ryan easily has a way of connecting us all. Of course we bought a bottle to enjoy later on our trip, and there's some fun surprises along the way. We toured Argentina, Uruguay, and Brazil...and this tour easily stands out as one of our favorites of the whole trip. I would highly recommend this for a fun filled day...and definitely get the lunch!! Cheers to Ryan for putting together an amazing experience!

Absolutely fantastic wine tour! From the picturesque vineyards to the knowledgeable guide, every moment was superb. The tastings were diverse. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Ryan proceeded to offer us tips for the next two weeks of our holiday in Uruguay and Buenos Aires which all turned out to be amazing and were perfectly suited to us without us even asking. We're so happy we did this tour! I had been wanting to taste wine from the Tennat grape. We were greeted with a glass of wine when we arrived at Castillo Viejo. Then we walked among the vines and tasted different grape varieties. This was followed by a tour of the production facility. After that, we went to the wine cellar for a luncheon with about 5 different wine pairings. This is a fabulous excursion for any wine lover!

This was one of the best planned tours we’ve done anywhere in the world. The organizer, Ryan, reached out via WhatsApp weeks in advance and was kind enough to coordinate the best way to pick us up and provided tons of recommendations for Uruguay. Our guide on the day of the tour, Miguel, was incredibly kind and fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, and English. We had a great time with him at an amazing winery with an experience just for us. Their food was also amazing. We can’t recommend this enough!

My dad and I had a great day with Miguel in Montevideo at Casa Viejo. We were paired with two fun Brits and thoroughly enjoyed wine tasting, a 4 course lunch and lots of fun and laughter. Miguel is very engaging and went out of his way to make sure we all had a great day. I would love to come back and do another tour. Highly recommend.

The tour was amazing! Our guide, Ryan, was the best! We learned everything about wines while visiting a lovely vineyard. We tasted several kinds of wines and cheeses in a private room and took many pictures. Just perfect!

We had a great tasting experience with Ryan. He took us to Ana amazing local establishment that had a restaurant and made much of their own food in addition to the wine. He was welcomed like an old friend at the place, and we had a great time. He also paired my daughter and me with a fun couple from Brazil, and we all had a great time. Can’t recommend it enough.
