        Would do again, highly recommend!
Start to finish an amazing experience! Marco my tour guide was there for pickup at the agreed upon time, full of knowledge and was very personable and accommodating. Marcahuasi is a must see, hard to describe but there is definitely something special about the place. Bring sun protection and shoes with some good traction, the guide will offer easier paths but the more challenging ones are worth it. The views are amazing, Would do again, highly recommend!

        Definitely Recommend!
We had such a blast!! The whole experience from being picked up from our Airbnb to getting dropped back off again was great! It was fun (and maybe a little bit thrilling) riding in the car with Carlos, he was engaging and quick to answer questions we had. Then when we got to the sand dunes, Abraham’s experience and skills had time to shine! He was so patient with us as we learned to sand board - which was SO fun! I only wish we could have had a longer time there in the dunes - once we started we really didn’t want to stop!

Marcahuasi - magical stone forest in Peru - a must!
March 2024 - went with my family to Marcahuasi with Carlos from Go Touch Peru Experiences. Before our trip, we received a message with a kind reminder on what we needed to bring. Carlos was super punctual and he picked us up at 5h00. Marcahuasi is the pinnacle of an adventure that starts with the road trip there! what a surreal and extreme adrenaline on the path there. Carlos adapted to our battle rhythm and managed to keep our 12 year old daughter, interested, curious and very happy! Marcahuasi itself is a magical stone forest that you only see in fables. We cannot say enough of the wonderful time and how much we recommend this experience! When in Peru, this is a must!

        Make Great Memories in Marcahuasi
Our recent trip to Marcahuasi was amazing. It far surpassed any of our expectations. Carlos was easy to coordinate with prior to our visit and answered any questions promptly. He was a skilled driver on narrow winding roads. I thought the roads might make me nervous but the beautiful scenery was the distraction I needed. The spot is so breathtaking that I literally got teary as I looked out from my perch. Carlos took pictures for us and had planned all the details. He is patient and checked on our comfort level throughout the day. Only bad part - was having it be over! Thanks Carlos - my favorite part of my trip to Peru.

Explore amazing archeological site with no crowds in your pictures!!!
The four hour drive was 1000% worth it to get to see and explore Marcahuasi with zero other tourists around. It is absolutely breathtaking and stunning. Our guide was wonderful. Our original guide was Carlos but he had recently had brain surgery for an aneurysm so our substitute guide Marci took us and he was awesome! He did an absolute amazing job of framing our photos that he took of us. Like I’m so shocked at how good they turned out! The drive up and down the mountain was a little rough, I’m not going to lie. But setting the chupas and the ruins of this ancient town, how small the houses and doors were with no one but my family around was just amazing. I definitely recommend going on this excursion if you have the chance.

        Great day trip
Was a great trip out to the dunes + 3 runs of boarding down the hills. Thanks for the lessons and cool photos! Sandboarding is a lot harder than snowboarding

        A great adventure--recommended!
Three of us went, and were joined by another couple from Europe. The drive took about 3 hours to arrive, but once we left Lima and got farther into the mountains, the scenery was dramatic! When we arrived and walked up the the lake, and it was an "Oh, wow" moment! We had some sun when we first got to the lake, but quickly the clouds came in so that the cliffs on the back side of the mountain were mostly in white clouds, but we could still see to some extent. At least there was no rain that day. It is an interesting and fascinating place! Be aware that this is not a luxury bus drive--it is more of an adventure! The road up into the mountains is narrow and bumpy, with portions of extensive switchbacks. However, if you want to get away from Lima and into the mountains, this is a great choice. It is recommended!

        Spectacular ride and hike
I highly recommend anyone to take this amizing experience. I took this excursion by myself and was alone that day with an english speaking guide (Carlos) and driver. Everything was well taken care of, so all is included (except 20 soles entree fee). The ride itself is already spectacular, but once up hiking you feel relaxed and peaceful. The Sound of silence (S&G) and Enjoy the silence (simple minds) in one: Magic. Spectacular views and many opportunities to take good picture (for your insta? ))). So do not hesitate

Most memorable experience I’ve had in decades.
This excursion is so much more than the destination, which is amazing and worth the cost. Carlos was very helpful and Marcos was an excellent guide. Marcos picks you up in a vintage LandCruiser from the 80’s. We navigate through the real Lima to get east into the mountains. Miraflores is not Lima, it’s a bubble surrounded by industrial working class districts. Driving thru these neighborhoods gives you a real sense of Lima life. Once the pavement ends the fun really begins. Rattling and shaking up rough tracks we climb 12000 feet. It’s incredibly beautiful and thrilling on the switchback track. This tour is not for people prone to motion sickness or who are afraid of heights. Up you go past bucolic villages higher and higher until you reach Marcahusi. The formations are wonderful, and the view breathtaking. This place is not a tourist destination. It’s an authentic important place for Puruvians. If you can, spend the night under the stars and soaring Peregrine falcons.

        Amazing, but take precautions
Amazing views and a great guide! We left Lima at 5 am and were back at 4-5 pm with enough time to do something in the evening. The pick-up was a little late due to problems with the vehicle, but there were no other tourists and we had a private tour! Marcahuasi is not very large, so you can see the most important parts in a short amount of time. The guide bought some juicy, local fruit to eat on the hike and a traditional cooked corn (with cheese and spicy sauce) on the way back - some of the most delicious foods I've ever tasted! However, the bumpy dirt road to get there is no joke. The cliff goes a long way up on one side and a long way down on the other. Often there is only space for one car, so if you meet traffic, one car has to drive back or forward a little. If you easily get travel sick it is a good idea to use travel sickness pills. The sun (I had no hat), the altitude (4000 m above sea level) and the bumpy road combined made me feel sick towards the end. But it was still worth it. If you take sun protection, walk slowly and breathe deeply, you should be fine.

Incredible day I would never forget, must do and underrated!
I literally could not recommend this enough! “Experience” is accurate, calling it a tour or hike would not do it justice. Words and pictures do not capture the incredible time I had, I booked to do this on my own for the magic of the destination but the journey was also worth every single penny, and our group became a team! Carlos is an incredible human, an amazing driver, and I felt safe, supported and encouraged LITERALLY every minute of the day. The views can be a little scary at such a height, and the incline was challenging at times, but Carlos’ experience and attitude was nothing short of expert. The altitude was a bit rough but taking the path less travelled and going to such a magical place with an open mind was so special and I would do this time and time again if given the chance. Thankyou so much Carlos, I’ll be talking about how amazing my day was and recommending this to everyone who will listen!

        Book now! Great day trip!
Absolutely book this tour. I loved being picked up by Carlos and little assistant Kusi the little Shih Tzu. They were absolutely fantastic to go on a tour with and I absolutely loved the people that I meet on this tour too. It’s not a hard hike in terms of capability’s but the altitude did get to me. Bring some extra snacks that have sugar or salt to help you through. This hike was definitely made better by Carlos who was extremely kind, spoke very good English and was very helpful during my hike. I honestly wish Carlos could tour me through the entirely of Lima. P.s the pictures you get on this hike are Insta worthy

        Once in a lifetime experience!
This was a true adventure! Marco picked us up at our hotel at 5:15 am for our 3 hour journey to begin the hike. The last part of the trip was ONLY for those with no fear of heights/issues with motion sickness. We had a typical Peruvian breakfast en route and he bought us fruit/water for the hike. It took about 3 hours and we saw the rock formations, 2 lakes, ruins and lovely mountains. Marco was an excellent and attentive guide. Highly recommend this trip…just be prepared for the long commute. Carlos, whom I contacted for info the day before, was very helpful as well!

        Awesome
I cannot recommend this highly enough it is AMAZING,! We got picked up from our hotel in Lima on time by Abraham (instructor) and Eddie our hilarious driver - buzzed out of Lima and hit the dunes! My 17 year old twins loved every minute, and I was so relieved we had such a fab team as I was a little apprehensive to start. The mountains are beautiful and it was well worth the trip. Cheaper than the other companies I took the gamble and was very pleased I did. Take this company and don’t worry as they are BRILLIANT,!
