About
A transportation service will pick you up from your hotel and you will travel to Northern Lima. After a four-hour trip, you will arrive in Caral, the civilization that created the oldest urban complex (of the same name) in America, which redefined the history of societies when it was discovered that it is 5,000 years old, as old as China, Egypt, Indía and Mesopotamia. Caral shows large pyramids, squares, atriums and altars on which various sacred ceremonies and offerings to deities were performed. After the visit, you will have time to enjoy lunch (by your own) and then return to Lima City.

About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- SherriCrep0 contributionsHighly recommend this tour! Our guide did a great job of touring the fountains before the show. He found a great place right in the middle to watch the show on a crowded Friday night. The cultural buffet was not available, so we were taken to Cafe Tambo instead. The cafe was excellent and had a good selection on the preset menu. The guide was very knowledgeable and the driver was excellent navigating through Lima traffic. I would highly recommend this tour!Written October 5, 2024
- abigail25820 contributionsLima tour, Cusco tour, Sacred Valley tour and Machu picchuLima tours are fantastic. Every guide they arranged throughout our tour around Peru was extremely knowledgeable, reliable and friendly. They made our holiday very special. Maria at Machu picchu was particularly wonderful. Definitely recommend Lima Tours.Written October 3, 2024
- J870GXmarciab0 contributionsNever Use this company - Dream breakerPLease, Please, if you ever decide to visit Machu Picchu, this should not be the company to use. They ruined my dream trip that I had planned for many years, by send three emails to my junk email stating that because of lock of documentation they cancelled my day trip to M.Picchu. My trip was a whole package including: Flight, hotel, airport pick up, and my dream trip with a local friend to go to Machu Picchu on September 20, 2024. Lima tours sent me an email to my junk email which I never received or read. I was contacted only once through my regular email this past Monday. I had to cancel the trip which I was to go on Monday September 16. They stated lock of documentation. I do not think it is correct to send a copy of a passport to a company that i did not know, and thought was reliable because of Expedia. Please Please never use this company if ever decided to visit Machu Picchu. I cancelled my trip altogether because of them. The only thing they did was to return the money I paid, but this does not cover the disappointment for not going to my dream trip. I would give them a zero star. They don't care about people.Written September 13, 2024

- azz_alii0 contributionsAmazing! We traveled with Lima Tours to roughly 10 locations in Peru. The experience with Lima tour was smooth, very reliable, and easy to use. We always had a person we could directly contact. ALL the guides were amazing, informative and punctual We would use them and recommend them.Written July 5, 2024
- PalaeoGirl0 contributionsGreat ambience, but lackluster mealThis was a mixed experience: the food was decent, but lacking in presentation. I ordered the beef tenderloin, and the meal that arrived was off-putting in appearance. Dessert was the highlight, even though the restaurant lost our request for something special for our birthday celebration. Had we felt welcome upon arrival--why were we not offered to order a drink while we waited?--and not been asked explicitly for a tip at the end of our meal, the experience would have been much more enjoyable.Written May 13, 2024
- D3230ECchristopherj0 contributionsSloppy, shambolic & insensitive.Appalling - trip of a lifetime ruined by this company . We were booked to be picked up at 0415 from hotel and back by 1715 . We had dealt with Cintya Valverde and complied with all requests and had her confirm all was in order . So imagine when our friend gets a message for me ( sloppy to say the least ) as we are having an early dinner for the early start, which states it’s now 0730 and return at 2200! So evening ruined and next evening ruined and very late return when we have to leave for Cusco airport at 0600! A proper nightmare having paid a fortune for this holiday and waited 50 years to visit Machu Picchu . Just disgusting ! I will make my life’s works to ensure all our friends and contacts hear about it . Social Media can be a blessingWritten March 18, 2024
- 167ivang0 contributionsAmazing place for DinnerAmazing food, great service and the place is incredible, the view of the sea and the designe of the place is one of my favorite places to go. We had a dinner with 75 persons from different countries and all the comments were great, we had a fix menu and the service was impecable. I totally recommend the Causa of shrimps and crab and the seafood rice.Written March 12, 2024
- nelizondos0 contributionsRuins with nice viewsI found the museum is very well put together and interesting. I thought the site had beautiful sights and a nice quiet walk. It’s a little far from Lima but Uber is not expensive and the way back you can take a bus right across the street from the site. Problem with the bus is that it takes twice as much time.Written March 5, 2024
- Curious328691784780 contributionsToo Rushed! The tour was very rushed. The guide did not care if the visitors are able to keep pace or not. Not enough time to look around, especially at the Larco Museum.Written December 3, 2023
- 618virgilr0 contributionsInca Trail TrekExcellent experience with our guide Speedy Rudy. The cook and porters were phenomenal as well. The trek was both educational and physically demanding. I felt we were well cared for for the entirety of the trip.Written November 26, 2023

- robertvX5769LB0 contributionsAmazing service!! Epic experience!I highly recommend Lima tours! From David to the cooks and porters to our favorite person Rudy! What an amazing experience! Our guide Rudy was the perfect person to represent the passion and love for his culture and country. Our cook Diego made the most amazing food! Our waiter Saul was attentive and professional. The porters were awesome to watch in action as they scaled the countryside with full packs like it was nothing. This was an epic adventure that my friends and i will never forget! Peru is such a beautiful vast place with so much history. We really appreciate Rudy and his ability to retain information and deliver it with such passion. Thank you Lima Tours for making out adventure in Peru one we will never forget!
