Outdoor adrenaline and cultural adventure awaits you
It was an exhilarating , adrenaline fun filled day with a great group of people and our guide Nilo Lex! Totally enjoyed the Ballestas Islands cruise to see penguins, seals, sea lions and dolphins and many birds. The Pisco Winery was informative on how they made wine centuries ago vs now and we tasted many types of Pisco...delicious and a little tipsy after. Finally we arrived at the dunebuggying/ sandboarding Oasis in the desert Huacachina as Nilo called it. It was like a roller coaster in the sand st 80 to 200km with 3 stops to sand board and watch the sunset 🌇. Very soft sand and beautiful valley! I highly recommend this and our crazy( but safe ) driver Pepe!

Value and Quality for the Price, for sure
This was an unforgettable experience. The tour guide was so amazing and communicative - the ride was long (3 hours), but once you’re there, they ensure you have a worthwhile day. We tasted chocolate from the locals, saw hundreds of wild birds, dolphins, and sea lions. We even got lucky and they found 2 penguins! The atacoma desert was the highlight where our driver drove through a track on the sand dunes. It didn’t feel over crowded and made for the best photos you could ask for. Our guide let us watch the sun set on the dunes!! Not to mention the AMAZING high quality dining experience at the winery - such delicious wines and the best food we had ALL WEEK.

          No call, no show
The bus never picked me up or called. I was very disappointed as I waited 45 minutes outside. I waited outside the hotel pickup area. I was the only one out there for 45 mins. No one has contacted me still

          Once-in-a-lifetime experience
This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience to be in the water surrounded by curious sea lions! The water off the coast of Lima is always a chilly 15 degrees C (54 F), but the wet suits that are supplied really work - only my hands and feet were cold in the water (after the initial shock!). My friend and I figured out that we'd better bring towels, but it would have been nice if this was suggested when we booked, so we could have planned accordingly. We ended up borrowing a towel from our AirBnB since we hadn't brought any. Also, I ended up getting seasick on the return trip, so it would have been helpful if the company had suggested that we bring dramamine with us. I've never gotten sick on a boat before, so I didn't realize how it might be. Very choppy water on the way out and back; where we got in the water with the sea lions was much calmer. For the return trip, the boat took off while we were all still trying to get out of the wetsuits and into dry clothes (over our wet bathing suits - nowhere on board to really change). Because the boat was moving while I was dressing, this might be why I got seasick. So come prepared! Also bring a waterproof camera or case if you have one. The ones they sell there are cheap but they really worked for us! Couldn't believe how many sea lions (thousands!) there were! Very noisy and smelly, just so you know! We also saw Humboldt penguins, Peruvian boobies, and other birds on the ride out to the sea lions. Our guide Ishmael was excellent!

          Amazing experience!
Regarding Huacachina: this is, by far, the most amazing experience I've ever had! What an amazing place, I really fall in love with it. Regarding the rest of the tour: Islas Ballestas was so nice as well. We had a really good guide, and I took some amazing pictures. We wen't to a restaurant for lunch and was really nice. They even gave us a wine/pizco degustation at the end. The tour's guide was really good as well.

          The most amazing experience ever!!!
This is the most amazing experience adventure we’ve ever had. I booked this tour at the last minute before we return home for me, my adult daughter and my teenager son, luckily there’s availability for the next day after I made the reservation. I’m glad I chose this smaller group tour even though it costs a little bit more than the large group but it’s worth it. It says starting from $100/person, but when I selected 3 people, the price changed to $150/person. I assumed if I put a larger number or making the reservation way in advanced instead of less than 24 hours, the price might be $100/person. If you have motion sickness, I suggest you to take a motion sickness medicine before you take the boat ride. It will be good for the sand buggy ride afterwards too. I’m very scared of heights and roller coaster, but I made the sand buggy ride. I just couldn’t do the sand boarding but my kids did it. I wish the sand boarding starts with a smaller sand slope first then move up to the taller one. I would be able to do it and so other people who were scared of heights. But, overall, the whole experience was amazing. I highly recommend this smaller group tour.

          For the adrenaline seekers
Ok. First of all, a DISCLAIMER: if you have fear of roller-coasters, speed or heights: avoid. 54am wake up call for a 17 hr day. Good punctual staff Saul was our guide and he made a chat room to keep us to date on the trip. They puck you up at the hotel and drive you to breakfast. Great bread!!! Wao. Then... drive to Panacas for a ferry ride with a spanish speaking guide. You see many species of birds, sea lions, pups and even starfish. Sunny weather with a cool breeze. Bring sun block and a scarf. The ride is quite chilly. Then drive to lunch. EXCELENT food at "El Catador". 4 choices of entries and 8 of main cource. NO WIFi... then hace 5 shots of wine, pisco, and borgoña. Washrooms facilities are available for 1 sol. Then 20 minutes to Huicachina. Small yown with plenty of shops and sellers. Up a hill in a dun on foot to the ATVs. Get reasy for adrenalin, sand, up and downs in the biggest dunes I have ever seen. Some of the passangers got sick... threw up... and got super dizzy. 15minutes out: do sand surfing and take pictures. Temperature was 30 celcious and with a fresh breeze. Got sand IN my socks and tennis shoes. Still I had a great time. 4 hrs drive back to Lima.

Bad food, Tour guide could not speak English
The breakfast food was terrible, had bugs flying around it and tasted like it was sitting there in the back for years. Lunch was served cold. (The ceviche entree was delicious though! Even thought it was served last…) The guide was very nice but could not speak English for the life of god and killed the vibe. I don’t think this is worth the money to be honest, not sure how the other tours are compared to their prices and services…maybe it was worth it because of how long it was? I’m not sure. All I know is that the vibe was dead and painfully long. Not trying to be mean.

          A must do!
Our tour guide, Saúl was Great! It was the last day and this was definitely the way to end the year the dune nuggets ride was pretty much of rollercoaster ride and that was amazing and worth the trip just by itself. Make sure you pack water and meals / snack for the ride to and from the destination point.

          THE WORST TOUR
It was the worst tour trip ever... A very uncomfortable bus ride, not very organized especially when you have to board for Ballestas Island... Totally disaster, and for the price you paid your food is not included, to make things even worse when you arrive at the HORRIBLE restaurant for lunch ( service is a total nightmare) you have to wait a least 2 hours to be served, so be prepared that if you haven't eaten anything the whole freaking day don't be expecting to be served within the next 20 minutes of your arrival, that's a joke! Food is not even close to authentic Peruvian food... My husband and I ordered some grilled fish, we got fish sticks, rice was cold and old (hard like a rock) but this is the kicker, we called our server and took our meals back, not even offering us something else, but when it was time to leave, they approached with a bill Pisco tasting should definitely be eliminated. This is so far the worst tour I'd ever taken...... I wouldn't recommend it to anyone!

Very, very long uncomfortable bus ride
The forced wine and pisco tasting should be eliminated. Clean bathrooms should be located. The literature should be clear that the lunch is not included so that people can budget knowledgeably. The bus ride is uncomfortable. There was no sandboarding and no four-wheeling. They were canceled. The oasis is ten times smaller than it appears in the pictures.

          Fun in the desert
This trip was a lot of fun. Early morning start, but it’s worth it. The sailing around paracas was an added bonus. The ballestas islands were beautiful and there were a lot of seals posing for us. The sand boarding and dune buggies were amazing. Such an adrenaline rush!

Looking forward to the horse show, it was our anniversary and wanted something special. We were not picked up at specified time, so we had to make other arrangements for a special night out. We were able to receive a refund on our payment.
