About
Let yourself be surprised with this beautiful trip to ancient Perú. We will discover the most important oracle during “Incas” time. This impressive archeological site is still considered a sacred place for many local natives. In the past, everybody wanted to come to Pachacamac to visit and say "thank you" to the creator (Pachacamac) for receiving a good harvest, climate, water source, etc, and also to get answers to their questions. Pachacamac was also the place for high-level studies of astronomy, architecture, also a place for ancient rituals and human sacrifices as payments to Mother Earth; natives celebrated large festivities in honor of the gods. Come and immerse yourself in the ancient culture of Pachacamac!

Let's travel back in time and visit the most important sacred sanctuary in the central coast of southamerica. Admire its colossal size and be amazed with the panoramic view of their ancient pyramids, fresh breze of the pacific ocean and the green valley below. It takes about 1 hour to get to Pachacamac, it is an archaeological complex that is a pre-Columbian citadel with adobe and stone palaces, and pyramidal temples. It is located about 31 km southeast of the city center. We recommend a visit to Pachacamac first, as an introduction to the Inca culture before going to Cusco and Machu Picchu. You will better understand the Inca tradition!

So glad we did this tour!
Saul was a very knowledgeable, generous and fun guide. We saw & learnt so much! Amazing people, architecture & history. Our tour was on Saturday afternoon and were blown away by all the street performers. The squares, cathedral & catacombs were brilliant. So glad we did this tour. Hotel pickup & dropoff icing on the cake! Thank you :)

We visited two public squares and saw several historic buildings.
Natalya was friendly, knowledgeable and more importantly, very enthusiastic. The tour was very good. We were picked up on time. We traveled by van before the walking tour.

        Lima for everyone
We got the privilege to be introduced to the beautiful Lima by two guides, Junior and Sandy. Both of them very knowledgeable, kind and patient, showed us the city in an amicable way, making sure everyone had an entertaining experience. Definitely worth the price.

Great tour through Miraflores and Barranco
I really enjoyed the tour. It was a good way to get a first impression of miraflores and barranco. I recommend this tour to everyone who is interested in getting a good first impression of what these districts have to offer. John, the tour guide, was very knowledgeable and friendly and could also provide some helpful recommendation for good and drinks. I felt safe throughout the whole tour, as we rode along the bike paths.

        Catacombs, churros and more
Like many tourists to Lima, we booked a hotel in Miraflores because of the location and the convenience of great restaurants. But, we very much wanted to see the historical areas of Lima as well. This tour (which was quite reasonably priced) did a great job of giving us a good intro to the important landmarks of the Centro Historico. (Better call) Saul was an articulate and entertaining tour guide. He gave us some interesting insights into some of the monuments and buildings (like when the fountain in the main square was filled with Pisco). We got to tour the Church of St Francis of Assisi and go into the catacombs below. And, to cap off the tour we had the opportunity to sample Lima's version of the humble churro. I highly recommend.

Wonderful Afternoon in Lima’s Historic City Center
We had a wonderful afternoon exploring Historic city center Lima with Saúl! Tour was extremely easy to book and communication/pick-up were seamless - we visited Plaza Mayor, Plaza San Martin, Basilica of San Francisco including the Catacombs! The architecture and history were perfectly complemented by Saúl’s fun and informative storytelling - the Peruvian churro at the end was the perfect send-off - thank you for sharing your amazing history/city with us

        Great value!
Amazing tour full of historic beauty and information. Saul was our guide and was full of information about the culture and history of Lima. The shuttle was excellent in communication, picked us up from our hotel, and safely brought us to many historic areas. We were able to see Lima from the perspective of the local resident, do some shopping, visit churches snd Catacombs, and eat churros. Everything included, except for tipping our amazing tour guide.

        Cooking in Lima
Being a youngest I know how to play. The drawback is my inability to plan ahead. Oddly, this has a strange way of working my favor. I chose this cooking class on the fly so to speak. It turned out to be an excellent experience. The head sous chef, Junior, was personality plus. He escorted our small group to the local market where we bought the food we ultimately prepared. After the market tour, we were taken two a facility where we prepared our meal. The head chef, Ruth, was a wonderful wonderful lady. She spoke minimal English and I speak very little Spanish, although I am trying. Anyway, it didn't matter. Food was our language. Oh and did I mention that Junior spoke English and Spanish fluently. That also helped. I consider myself a good cook and ama sous chef by trade. I have to say this class works for folks of all experience levels. Chef Ruth had an intuitive sense of people's abilities and assigned tasks accordingly. My other half has absolutely no real cooking ability. He did a lot of stirring. He had great fun. As a result of this experience, I am going to book a cooking class on every trip I take from now on. Don't even think about it just book this

An amazing tour of an amazing city Lima. We were lucky to have a guide like Saul who was so knowledgeable about the city, and was able to give us such a good understanding of the city and its history. Would highly recommend this trip.

I had a private tour, was the only person. This was the second tour I did with this company, and specifically Aura.

Both tours were amazing, she was very passionate about sharing her knowledge of her country and the various sites (not just the pyramids but all the historic sites from the prior day).

I highly recommend doing this tour, and others with this company.

Pachacamac is an amazing place to visit! A piece of living history 40min by car from Miraflores.

Our tour guide, César, was the best guide we had during our trip to Peru! If you have a chance, ask for him. He knows every thing about Pachacamac and explained It to us like a excited history teacher! He also gave us real good recommendations on where to go and what to eat (even dropped us there).

Our guide, Jahiera (sp?) was an absolute delight! The ruins are fairly bland-looking -- I mean, they're all pretty much the color of sand -- but the stories Jahiera told made the site come alive for us. My husband and I agree that this tour was our favorite of all our Lima-based excursions and the reason for that is Jahiera. In addition to sharing her vast knowledge of Peruvian history, she willingly answered our many questions about the country's culture. I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed this half-day event. Little details: We were picked up at our hotel on time, the 30-40 minute ride to the ruins was comfortable, and the price was incredibly reasonable. This was more than worth the $$ we paid. I'm sure there are other guides who do a wonderful job but we feel fortunate that we got Jahiera.

Most importantly, our tour guide, Chris was amazing and without someone as knowledgeable as Chris the morning would not have gone well! On the way to Pachacamac, we asked him questions on all parts of life in Peru. Not only was his English perfect, he had thoughtful answers to all our questions. Once at the Pachacamacc, his knowledge of the site, history, art, and cultures was very impressive. We (my two friends and I) were amazed and captivated. He managed to give us facts in an interesting way sprinkled with fun stories. Great experience, excellent guide. If I could add stars to my recommendation I would. Oh, one of my friends left her cell phone in the van, we called and Chris was back in 5 minutes with the phone.

It was just my husband and I on the Sunday morning excursion, in comfortable transportation. The guide Cesar was excellent, very motivated and well trained. Take a hat and water and apply sunscreen if it's sunny, as there is a good walk to the Pyramid of the Sun (it's worth it, of course!). The place is impressive, and the museum, with beautiful contemporary architecture, has a captivating exhibit that complements the experience. Don't forget to go to the store! Everything there is beautiful, made by women from the local community. At the end, the team left us close to where we were going to have lunch. Perfect tour, in every way. I recommend Haku Tours!
