Christian helped me create the most amazing food ever
Christian is a lovely fellow, excellent cook, and a patient and inspiring teacher. We had a fun visit to the local market where he taught me all about Peruvian produce and chose fruit and fish for our meal. Then we spent the rest of the morning in his fresh, cosy rooftop kitchen along with his able assistant Marta and another couple of clients. We made the most amazing food, I've never produced anything as good. The only problem was there was so much I couldn't eat it all. He also provides you with a link to recipes so you can try your skills at home. I'm going to attempt it with my son in law who's very enthusiastic to try Peruvian cuisine. Sign up for cooking with Christian at SkyKitchen, you'll be glad you did!. Try to do it at the beginning of your Peru trip so you can better appreciate all the other meals you'll eat while you're there, Peruvian cuisine is great.

      Cooking class Lima
We are a group of 10, with different cooking experiences and very different cooking knowledge. We did a market tour first and then fruits tasting and cooking class. Everyone enjoyed it very much. Christian, Yurac, Maritza, thank you so much.

      Wonderful Peruvian cooking class!!
Our family had an amazing time at sky kitchen!! Even our seven and 10 year year-old were entertained the entire time. The recipes were delicious, learning about the food and culture was an added bonus. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for an authentic Peruvian experience. The food was also delicious, can’t wait to make the recipes for friends!!

      Fun and educational
Christian is very knowledgeable about Peruvian cuisine and culture. He provided thorough information about the market and organized a fun fruit tasting experience. The cooking class was well put together. I would book with him again.

An Authentic Culinary Journey in Lima
My wife and I participated in the Market Tour and Cooking Class in Lima, and it was an unforgettable culinary adventure. It was more than a class; it was a deep dive into Peru's rich culinary culture. The adventure began with a vibrant local market tour. Here, we were introduced to an array of exotic fruits, vegetables and local products. The subsequent cooking class, surprisingly held in a residential apartment building, added a charmingly authentic touch to our experience. Here, we were guided by a skilled chef to prepare a four-course Peruvian meal. The dishes included Causa, Ceviche, Lomo Saltado, and Picarones. The class was well-organized and the setting was intimate, making the experience even more engaging. We came away with a deeper understanding and appreciation of Peruvian culinary traditions - and most importantly the recipes for us to try at home. We highly recommend this tour & cooking class. It is not just a tour or a class, but a feast for the senses and an unforgettable immersion into Peru's rich culinary scene.

      Amazing, authentic experience
The whole experience was delightful! The market tour showed us an authentic place Peruvians shop with an extensive explanation of the biodiversity of Peru and types of fruits and vegetables. Then trying the 34 types of fruit was a great experience - we learned about some of the fruit origins and tried fruit we would not have been able to otherwise. Finally the cooking of chicken causa, ceviche, lomo, and picarones was fun and delicious. Jose our instructor explained the recipes and was easy to follow! This was definitely a highlight of our trip to Lima and would recommend to anyone visiting Peru and interested in the Peruvian culture through the culinary lens.

Fantastic market tour and cooking class
Excellent tour and cooking class - we all thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience - adults and an 11 year old. The food we produced was delicious- and we have the recipes to cook at home.

      BEST FAMILY EXPERIENCE EVER!!
If you are looking for a cooking experience, look NO further!!! Christian, our host gave us the most informative tour of a huge local market complete with names, origins and history of the many, many fruits, veggies, proteins and countless other delicacies. Upon reaching the Sky Kitchen, we were amazed by the setting: a gorgeous terrace overlooking the city with a rare view of the ocean through the buildings. The staff were friendly and incredibly efficient. Our teacher, Jose had his hands full with this group! 😂. We’re a family of musicians, golfers and all around creative group ready to dive into any new experience and BOY did we. We LOVED every single second!! Can’t WAIT to recreate the dishes we prepared. Sadly, and I mean very sadly, our fruit and veggie options PALE in comparison to the delectable choices here in the lovely city of Peru but I’ll do my best. Many thanks

      Best cooking class EVER!
This was the first activity we had on arriving in Peru and it was perfect! Christian was professional, pleasant, meticulous and thoughtful. He met us at the market where he had previously talked to the stall owners validating that we could take photos. On returning to his Miraflores apartment, we found some 40 fruits and veggies laid out in an orderly fashion with cut samples for us to taste. He then showed us photos of the 4 courses we would make. This is a hands-on class so soon we were chopping, slicing, sampling, and sipping pisco sours while Christian patiently answered our questions regarding Peruvian food and culture. Christian followed up with an email containing the recipes and an index of the fruits and vegetables we had sampled. This was the BEST cooking class we have taken. I was also able to buy one of the skykitchen aprons.

Great care, lots of fun and delicious food
All three generations, from 10 to 75 years old had a wonderful time at Sky Kitchen. The visit to the market was so much more interesting with a guide. Christian is very knowledgeable and the market is a delight of beautiful displays of fruits, herbs and vegetables. The meat and fish sections were even worth hanging out at for a while, The fruit tasting and cooking class were full of entertaining explanations, and prepared perfectly. Every single one of us, with various levels of cooking experience, was engaged for the start to end and we had a lot of fun learning how to make delicious Peruvian dishes and drinks. We appreciated the great personal engagement and quality care and products used. Highly recommended!

A great introduction to Peruvian Food
We did the fruit tasting and dinner only on our first day in Peru. In a few hours we learned so much about the fruits and food that we would see during our trip, including our first of many pisco sours! The dishes were easy to prepare and everything was delicious. Christian led us through each recipe at a good pace, giving us lots of information about Peruvian food and cooking along the way. We left confident that we can make all of the dishes we prepared on our own and we can't wait to give them a try. We highly recommend this class.

      Highly Recommend!
This was so much fun and we learned so much. Christian was a great teacher and so knowledgable. All of the food we learned to make was amazing and we really enjoyed trying all of the different fruits (they really do taste so much better in Peru than they do in the USA). This was a great class from start to finish. If you’re debating whether or not to do the market tour and fruit tasting as well…DO IT! It is really a great immersive experience. Definitely recommend as a fun activity to do while in Lima!

Had a great time with Christian at the market and cooking Peruvian food.
He offers up a ton of information on the produce of the market without ever lecturing. And seemed genuinely interested in my experience.
You get taken through tasting 50 fruits. An amazing sensory experience.
Christian’s coaching of cooking made me feel very confident and capable.
In short come and experience this culinary adventure. Worth your time and your money.

Christian is very knowledgeable about Peruvian cooking and taught us to make 4 delicious dishes. He gave the history and culture behind each dish. The cooking and eating location is a beautiful open air space with gorgeous views of the city. Highly recommended this cooking class.

This was the most amazing experience. Christian was an informative and funny teacher/ chef. He not only lead with class with the teaching on the prep of the dishes but also so much interesting history of the foods and of Peru. I came away with 4 recipes I know I can prepare at home but so much knowledge of the foods. Christian and Yurac were in no hurry but allowed us to feel comfortable, relax in a beautiful setting, prepare, plate, eat and enjoy! This experience was the highlight of Lima for me.

We had an amazing cooking class, hosted by Yurac and Maritza. They gavs us a detailed insight into peruvian cuisine. All 4 dishes were very delicious. The manner of Yurac and Maritza was very humorous and they explained the individual steps of the dishes very well.
Later in the evening, we also met Christian, and he told us a lot interesting things about Peru.
All in all, it was a very nice evening!

I have been to SkyKitchen Peru three times now, bringing various friends for the upbeat, colorful, friendly, really educational experience! I have taken the class in English and Spanish and heard it given in French and German. The ingredients are fresh, the hosts are extremely knowledgeable, and the class is always so personalized to the group they have at the moment. I've met some wonderful people there, and have now made the cause, the mushroom ceviche, the pisco sour, and the aji amarillo at home in Chicago. I also highly recommend the fruit tasting!

We thoroughly enjoyed our market tour, fruit tasting and cooking class on our first day in Lima. Christian and his team are incredibly organized and knowledgeable. The menu was easily adapted for vegan and pescatarian palettes among us. We learned new dishes and techniques in a beautiful space with a very low key vibe. The length of time is enough to make your activity for the day and leave you with some down time in the afternoon, or a chance to explore the Miraflores area. We stayed in the historic downtown and Uber’d. On a Sunday morning it was about 20 minutes to get there.

I would happily take this class again as well as any others Skye Kitchen offered.

What a way to experience peruvian food and learn how to recreate the meals at home. We had a wonderful experience with Christian leading the class. The food was delicious and everything was well timed to get us eating each item along the way. The Sky Kitchen itself is beautiful and enough room for the four of us to make portions of the meal.
I would highly recommend this class to anyone!
