Lima Expert This guided walk around Lima was the real deal. Jonathan was above exceptional, competent, knowledgeable in Lima history and local lore. He was personable, sensitive to my food tastes, flexible and found the perfect experience for me. I wanted a real Lima food experience and Jonathan did not disappoint. We went through coffee shops and all around the market place where we sampled foods I had never seen or eaten. Loved every minute of it and got lots of photos. After choosing a few items to take with us to try he took me for a cooking lesson and we made the freshest tasting dishes. This was an amazing experience, so if you are looking to see and learn about Lima and the foods that are abundant here, this is it!

We had a fantastic walking and tasting tour with Jonathan from Travel Buddies in Lima. Jonathan is very knowledgable about the history of Peru and took us on a great walk of Lima talking about the culture, history and stopping at various places to taste the local food. We would highly recomend this tour with Jonathan.

My husband and I did this tour and it was our favorite activity we did in Lima. Our guide Johnathon was personable and knowledgeable of both Lima and the foods we tried. And there was a lot of food! It was like having a friend show us around his city. After the tour he sent us information about all the food we tried since we couldn’t remember everything. I highly recommend this tour!

Jonathan was my tour guide for this trip and was amazing! He went above and beyond in teaching me about local Peruvian fruit/cuisine and answered all queries in a very professional and kind manner. Jonathan made this experience for me a 10/10.

Pretty disappointed..our guide was a nice guy, not a conversationalist…had a hard time understanding English…had a hard time answering questions. Did not provide a ton of information about the places and artists we saw. It was more of a tour of street artists. Callao was pretty seedy …would’ve preferred just barranco. Since we ended there we didn’t get to see a lot of that area…

The walking tour was fantastic and had a great selection of different cuisines to try. Jonathan was an incredibly knowledgeable guide. Especially his historical insights about the city of Lima. He answered all of my questions and couldn't help me enough. He even gave me multiple recommendations for other things to do and places to see in the city. What an incredible day we had exploring the beautiful region of Paracas with Jonathan as our private guide! From start to finish, Jonathan provided us with an amazing and authentic experience. Jonathan picked us up bright and early at 3am, and immediately made us feel welcome and comfortable in his vehicle. Throughout the day, his driving was excellent - he navigated the roads safely and efficiently, allowing us to sit back and take in the stunning desert landscapes. Our first stop was the Paracas National Reserve, where we took a boat out to the Ballestas Islands. Jonathan pointed out the diverse array of endangered marine life, including sea lions, Humboldt penguins, and dozens of species of seabirds. His knowledge of the local flora and fauna was incredibly impressive. After the boat tour, Jonathan drove us to some amazing viewpoints where we could see the famous Nazca lines etched into the desert floor. It was a breathtaking sight, and Jonathan provided great context and history about this archaeological wonder. For lunch, Jonathan took us to a wonderful local restaurant that served up authentic Peruvian cuisine and pisco sours. The food was delicious, and Jonathan made sure we tried all the regional specialties. Throughout the day, Jonathan was an absolute delight to be around. He was friendly, engaging, and clearly passionate about sharing the beauty of his country with visitors. He went above and beyond to ensure we had an unforgettable experience. We can't recommend Jonathan highly enough as a private guide in Peru. His expertise, hospitality, and genuine care for his guests made our day trip an absolute joy from start to finish. We're so grateful we had the chance to explore this stunning region with him.

This was our first activity in Lima, and the tour lasted 4 hours. We had a local Liman as a tour guide who was thorough in explaining all of our stops, culture highlights, food, safety tips, and more. It’s a bike tour through Miraflores and Barranca, so not the whole city, but you do see a lot of highlights just through this. We stopped for all the great food Perú has to offer - from empanadas and ceviche to chicha morada and fresh fruit. ¡Tan deliciosa! Our tour guide Miguel was very friendly and had great recommendations in Miraflores. I would recommend to not keep items in your pockets to prevent pickpocketing. I kept my things strapped in a fanny pack on my torso, and my jacket was swiped in Barranca. It was scary but fortunately I did not lose anything.

The Driver (Martin) and tour guide (Jonathan) were amazing and took care of us the whole trip. Jonathan Had very good knowledge about everything we wanted to know about. As this was a personal tour we could even plan individual stops like watching the sunset at the beach... This was no issue at all. Everything was perfect and we couldnt have asked for more. Absolutly recommended.

Went for a one-day tour to Ballestas, Nazca Lines Overflight & Huacachina Oasis. Our guide, Aymen, took a great care of everything. He is so knowledgeable and will patiently explain every question you asked. I personally love how he shared his story with Peru and how he felt while living in Lima. Travel Buddies Peru and Aymen still host some other tours like one-day Lima tour or other customized tour. And this experience is so great that if I would visit Peru again, I would still want to register their tour and cooperate with them!

We had a great food tour with Miquel. He took us to off the beaten path gems in the Miraflores neighborhood and provided general information about life, nature and food in Lima.
