- FrequentFlier2716190 contributionsGreat way to see the marketExcellent way to see a fascinating market. Our guide was professional and knowledgeable. It would be very hard to appreciate and understand the market given the scale without a guide.Written January 3, 2025
- Wanderer797390 contributionsGreat guide!Kelwin is a great guide. I learned a lot. We were traveling with my 5yr son and felt completely safe! My son enjoyed this experience as well. Kelwin's English is excellent. Highly recommend.Written October 14, 2024
- Voyage418469225250 contributionsFriendly and informative guide through a bustling market and town.I booked this tour of Belen Market with Kelwin. He was very responsive in our communications prior to the tour which made setting it up very easy. Belen Market is quite a site. With so many things going on, a guide really helps you to maximize the experience. Kelwin always encouraged picture taking, which was nice, because since he lives in Belen, it made me feel much more comfortable taking pictures when I would not have if I were alone. He was also very knowledgeable about the different things in the market as well as the inner workings of the floating city. It would be extremely difficult, if not impossible, to see the floating city without a guide.Written October 13, 2024
- Jieming M0 contributionsPrivate day tour from IquitosMy friend and I did a 1 day private tour in Iquitos with Kelwin. He showed us Belen market, took us 2 boat rides, feed Paiche and hugged a sloth… Kelwin is nice and so knowledgeable. He made sure our safety and comfort. At same time, showed us so much. It was such a fun and rewarding day! I recommend Kelwin to anyone who wants to do day tour from Iquitos.Written October 9, 2024
- tiffanycW2570HC0 contributions100% recommendKelwin made this an unforgettable experience. We literally flew into IQT from LIM for a one day to/from flight just for this Activity as it seemed like the best way to see the most in a day. We saw so many kinds of animals such as monkeys, ant eater, sloths, and more. He went above and beyond to make this a memorable experience. If we come back we will definitly book a different trip with him.Written October 4, 2024
- 302dinushav0 contributionsBelen market tourI’m really glad we managed to do the morning Belen market tour with Kelwin. The market is a very interesting place. I’m glad I went with Kelwin who explained a lot about the market and what was being sold. It was also very interesting to hear about the Belen area and about his life growing up and living in the area. The moto-taxi and to and from the market was also fun!Written October 1, 2024
- jsr301960 contributionsOutstanding guide and outstanding toursMy wife and I did two separate day tours with Kelwin. Our tours were customized to our liking. We saw the fabulous Belen Market which is very large, where they sell every kind of produce and meat imaginable, and a whole section containing medicinal herbs. We had a great tour of the Amazon river and some tributaries by boat. On another day we did an extensive boat ride on the Amazon for some distance. We stopped along the way several times to see the fish farm, where we saw turtles, alligators, huge fish, Macau birds, etc. Also saw "The big tree", stopped to see an indigenous tribe where they let us practice using their blow gun, and walked in the Amazon jungle to see monkeys in the wild though some of the monkeys were tame and these monkeys can be handled, picked up and fed. Also saw a beautiful anteater carrying a baby on its back. We had a spectacular time on both tours with Kelwin. I highly recommend his tours. He is an outstanding guide. Very tuned in to your preferences and needs throughout the tour. Always on time, friendly, very knowledgeable, and I will recommend him to anyone I know that plans on visiting Iquitos.Written September 28, 2024
- Laura W0 contributionsExcellent service!Kelwin provided an excellent tour through the Belen market and community, and several stopping points on the Amazon. He accommodated our needs, answered all of our questions, and provided a very safe and informative experience with an authentic glimpse into the daily lives of the locals. As a local himself, he is a known and respected entity in the community. I highly recommend hiring Kelwin to see the area!Written September 24, 2024

- valeriebH4025JR0 contributionsGet to know another side of IquitosMy friend and I took two tours with Kelwin. The first was the Belen Market and Floating City. It was a wonderful way to see parts of the city we wouldn't have gone to on our own. Kelwin explained everything, and gave us his own story of growing up in the neighborhood. Highly recommend!Written September 1, 2024
- stevenrB7577WO0 contributionsFantastic Tour!!!My wife and I had just about 24hrs to spend in Iquitos. Luckily I was able to find Kelwin and reached out to him for a tour. Once he knew the time we were available, he put together a custom tour of La Isla De Los Monos (The REAL Monkey Island) and Fundo Pedrito. We had an amazing experience from start to finish. Kelwin’s coordination and communication up front was great. He was right on time for pickup and drop off. He was extremely accommodating and super knowledgeable. I could ask for a better experience and some amazing memories. Thank you!!!Written August 24, 2024
- francois28090 contributionsGreat tour with kelwin ! Strongly recommendedWe did a private day tour with Kelwin in Iquitos and it was simply perfect ! We were not sure about spending some time in Iquitos before heading to the jungle and I am glad we did because the tour with Kelwin was great. In the morning we went to the Belen Market and in the afternoon to Monkey Island (the real one) and some island to see the big amazon fish. The tour is smooth and you get to see so much. also, Monkey Island is far and we had our private boat on the Amazon River - which is very nice. No way you could all of that on your own. Do not hesitate twice, if you are in Iquitos, reach out to Kelvin, you can easily customer your tours according to your interests. Also, Kelvin offered his service for transportation from Iquitos Airport to our Hotel - he was already there when he landed and it was so nice to have the car ready versus having to find a taxi in this madness. Thank you Kelwin !Written August 23, 2024

- Jeri_Jeffcoat0 contributionsAmazing tour of Iquitos, the Venice of Loreto, and the Amazon River!I flew into Iquitos early in the morning for this tour. Kelwin met me at the airport and took me on an exceptional, very eye-opening tour of this amazing place. We visited the Belen Markets, took a boat ride through the Venice of Loreto, and finally took a boat out to the Amazon River. Afterward, Kelwin saw that I got safely back to the airport for my flight back to Lima. Kelwin was an excellent guide! He was patient, knowledgeable, and very kind, especially as I was a solo traveler experiencing rather significant mobility issues during my trip. Belen is not for the faint of heart! There were sights and smells that were disquieting, to say the least. The poverty is astounding. This is not a place to visit on your own. Thanks to Kelwin Iquitos and the Amazon can be experienced without fear of getting lost, missing something culturally important, or being pickpocketed.Written August 11, 2024

We had an amazing time with Kelwin and the trip down the Amazon to Monkey Island. Kelwin was very quick to respond @whatsapp, was on time to pick us up and made the whole experience very enjoyable. We stopped along the way to see the native aquatic species and Kelwin explained the whole center. He even pointed out many dolphins along the way that we would have missed.
We highly recommend this experience.

Kelwin organized a wonderful tour for my only free day in Iquitos. I knew that I wanted to do one of his tours, but wasn't sure which. I reached out via email and he was quick to respond and gave me his WhatsApp, which we used to communicate trip details and logistics.
He arrived at my hotel when he said he would and brought walked me to the water where a boat waited to take me down the river. About an hour or so into the tour we stopped at Fundo Pedrito at little tourist attraction where we saw/fed some native bird and fish species.
We then got back in the boat and headed to the REAL Monkey Island. I guess there is a fake one that other tour companies bring customers to. It was a long trip, but so peaceful and also meditative just cruising slowly down the river.
La Isla de los Monos was an amazing spot. I toured the facility with Ben, a volunteer who had been working with the Island for over 8 years. He enthusiastically introduced me to all of the juvenile baby monkeys as the ran around on the ground and swung from the tree. One young Capuchin monkey stepped onto my head to practice her grooming. Ben continued to walk me out into the jungle where they released Monkeys as they start to reach maturity. We even got to pick some ripe star fruit and I ate a little bit on my way out with several little youngsters following waiting for me to share.
The ride back to Iquitos was quiet. I appreciated the Kelwin was there, but also allowed space for me to have my own experience without feeling like he needed to fill ever moment with a lot of information. He just allowed me to be present to the moment.
Just before getting back into the tributary that leads to Cusco City we were lucky to witness of pod of grey river dolphins playing around, which was such a wonderful surprise encounter.
You could do these things alone (hire a boat, but a ticket to Monkey Island, etc.) but I really appreciate that I just got on the boat and didn't have to think again and could just enjoy the time. I'd definitely recommend.

The tour was amazing and very well organised to make it personal and special to us. We had Javier as our guide and his incredible Amazon and jungle knowledge was very impressive. He was friendly, and really listened to our requests and never ever. Were we rushed or pressured in any way. Staying in the lodge with a local family cooking and taking care of us will be a lasting memory for many years to come. My son Dylan even managed to organise a game of football for the local kids so we went to the little jungle primary school to play there. The whole trip was a big adventure and our kayaking at sunset will never ever be forgotten. Thank you Kelwin and Javier it was a wonderful couple of days being off grid.

Wonderful wildlife tour with Kelwin. He is so knowledgeable about the Amazon and made us feel at ease with all the animals and plants. We got lucky and saw both pink and grey dolphins in the river, and visited many rescue animals.
We actually booked 2 tours with Kelwin, seeing that he’s trustworthy and treating us like friends. Highly recommend Kelwin!

Went solo to Iquitos Peru for an Ayahuasca ceremony and decided to stay for an extra day. I booked a tour for the Monkey Island, Amazon River, and the Native Aquatic Species with Kelwin and man, what a great guy and guide he is. This is my first solo international trip and i felt really safe with Kelwin. He is an honest and hard working guy. We first went to check the native aquatic species. I took lots of pictures and videos of different animals, he even fed them while i was busy taking pictures and videos. We then travelled an hour to the "real" monkey island and walked about 20 mins to the location. There were lots of monkeys and they were very social. Kelwin explained to me that most tour guides will bring tourists to the "fake" monkey island where they only have about 5 monkeys and since theres only a limited amount of monkeys, they would be fed all the time by tourists and end up not really coming up close. I definitely would recommend Kelwin if you want to go on a tour on the Amazon or in Iquitos Peru. He could even get you the local prices at the markets. Definitely check him out if your in Iquitos Peru.

This was excellent. It did exactly what is said and no exit via the gift shop! We saw Pink and Grey Dolphins naturally swimming. At the small reserve we stopped at, Kelwin showed us around and nobody else hassled us! The giant fish are almost prehistoric and must see. Then on to THE REAL Monkey island. We were there nearly 2 hours and shown around by a professional guide and trekked through the bush with monkey companions hitching a ride now and again. These guys really care of the animals and again no gift shop hard sell.
On the boat Kevin made sure we stopped if there was any wildlife to see. It was exactly what we wanted from a trip and never once did we feel in any danger whilst on the boat. We totally recommend it.

Kelwin is a very competent and knowledgeable guide. He grew up in the area and knows how to get around very well on the ground. He can take you through the market streets, up the nearby waterways in boats driven by locals, and through the jungle. He makes it all very seamless.
We did Monkey Island and a few other animal sanctuaries/petting zoos. Swam a bit in the river, hiked the jungle, fished for piranhas, and other assorted activities. Definitely would recommend!

Kelvin was our tour guide. He answered messages quite often and picked us up on time. We got some nice seats on a comfy boat, saw the river dolphins, and took lots of pictures!
Visiting the alligators, paiche, and macaws was fun, we even tried some jungle fruits and saw how ‘nature repellent’ was from.
Monkey Island was another amazing spot, seeing many different species of monkeys, very happy they’re well taken care of.
Kelvin was very friendly, knowledgeable, and engaged in helping us capture the interesting moments of wildlife. We had a great time on this tour😊😊😊

I did 2 kinds of 1 day tour at this agency.
mercado belen and fishing pirañas,
the other is monkey island
He immediately responded to my message and gave me a detailed tour guide.
Guide named Robinson was really kind, and faithful.
All the time on tour he was passionate.
If I go back to Iquitos, I want to go with this guy
again.

I had an amazing day with Kelvin at Monkey Island and fundo pedrito (fish farm). He is very knowledgable, professional and it was definitely great value for money. I would highly recommend this for anyone visiting Iquitos. I have booked in for his tour the next day of Belen as I had such a great and safe time with him.
