Fun way to explore the Amazon with my family1
Did the 3 day-Maniti Eco Lodge tour. It was a wonderful experience. Our guide Rene was very knowledgeable and friendly. I traveled in mid June with my family. My kids ages 11, 13 and 15 years old also enjoyed the excursion. The specially the pirahna fishing and visiting monkey island. The guide was very accomodating to our family and would modify to what the kids enjoyed more. Overall I would recommend this company great service and awesome experience!

    Wonderful Experience
We spent 3D/2N at the MANITI Lodge. This activity is not for the faint hearted. It is hot and humid and tiring but what else is to be expected in the Amazon jungle. Our guide Rodrigo was amazing, always punctual regarding the activities, knows the jungle well, always willing to answer questions, trying to show you as much as he can and always pleasant while doing so. The food is good but got kind of repetitive. All the activities were amazing including the jungle walks, piranha fishing and swimming in the river. The trip to monkey island and the zoo was nice too. However the visit to the local tribe is a waste of time. 5 mins of a put on fake show and then they start pestering you to buy crap. Overall a wonderful experience thanks to Ridrigo’s efforts and the fact that we had a nice group that became friends very quickly and it added to the overall fun factor.

Brilliant way to visit the Peruvian Amazon
Our 4-day stay in the eco-lodge was an amazing experience! Our guide Edwin really made the tour for us. He knew so much about the plants, trees and local way of life, and most importantly you could tell that he was really passionate about sharing his knowledge with us. Particularly memorable was a dawn dolphin-spotting trip. It was on a long jungle hike, though, that Edwin’s expertise really came into its own - he seemed to have an incredible ability to spot even the smallest species, and knew everything there was to know about them. The food and accommodation were both excellent, and the staff were very friendly, constantly inviting us to take more food or asking if we needed anything. Luxuries like air-con and 24-hour electricity will of course not be found, but they make this very clear on their website, and it was nice to disconnect for a bit. Private bathrooms, showers and 3 hours of electricity every day felt like enough luxury for us. Everything seemed very well organised, arranging pick-ups and drop-offs from our hotel in Iquitos without a hitch. During the trip, there was lots of flexibility in the itinerary, with Edwin very willing to adapt to what we wanted to do. Our safety was also clearly something they cared about - when we had crossed to the opposite side of the Amazon and a sudden heavy storm broke out, Edwin made sure a bigger, more stable boat with a roof was brought to us to take us back to camp - a more disreputable firm may have run the risk of taking us in the small, uncovered boat we had been using in the calmer weather. Overall a really great trip, organised by people who really care.

Well organised, safe, and done by experts
We did the 4 day trip at the eco-lodge and it was fantastic from start to finish. The accommodation was great, the food fantastic, and everyone at the camp was very friendly. Our guide, Edwin, was incredibly knowledgable, and was able to spot all sorts of insects and frogs in the jungle, and he even knew how to get the pink river dolphins out to play. He definitely made the trip for us. Some other highlights included swimming in the Amazon and visiting the local village. 10/10 would recommend if you want to experience the Amazon.

Not one dull moment. Every tour was unique and intensively educational. If booking this tour, be sure to ask for Rodrigo
Best trip ever Tour exceeded my expectations. Guide Rodrigo was knowledgeable, fun, professional. As a solo female traveller I felt very safe and comfortable in his presence. Extremely knowledgeable with degrees in Biology, ornithology and herpetology you will learn so much about the history, culture and way of life in the Jungle. Already planning my next trip there! The lodge is basic, but it’s all you need as you’ll be too busy exploring to to just chill. Food was amazing and I really pigged out on the delicious fruits. Best to bring a battery operated night light, flashlights and flashlight headband, mosquito face cover, loose clothing so the mosquitoes don’t bite through… People ask what my highlight was, basically every moment. Don’t book through your own country, your tours will be basic. Book through Maniti and you will get to do things beyond what others can offer. Ask for Rodrigo, he was the reason my tour was 20 out of 10 stars 🙂

Great! Just a great time in the jungle
If you're not used to any jungle or tropical environment or have no sense of adventure; this place will probably test your limits. If you're easily put off by something out of your comfort zone, or you're going to complain about the natural environment, or that your expectations are a 4-5 star resort that's going to bend over backwards for your every request then stay at home. But if your keen on being the opposite of the person I mentioned above then all of your senses will be tingled by the Peruvian Amazon. The last day of the tour we managed to see a few interesting birds and quite a number of iguanas. As we were about to make our way back for lunch it started raining and it really came down but it changed the entire scene of the river. It almost continued to rainthe entire day which meant we didn't do much else but the rain certainly got rid of the heat and the mosquitoes which meant an afternoon spent laying down with a good book even better. During the time of the tour our guide René made sure we had plenty of opportunities to see the wildlife, which he insisted on saying he can't promise we will see everything as it's wildlife. Which I understood well and told him 'I know you can't make the animals come to us, it's stupidity to think like that'. Regardless of this I saw plenty of different spieces for the tiny pocket of the Amazon. All in all a great trip into an relatively unknown world to me.

3 days 2 nights in the Amazon
It was amazing from the begin to the end! The food was delicious. We had a private guy for my brother and I. We did piranha fishing, monkey island, swim and mud bath in the Amazon, visit an authentic village, day and night tour in the Amazon. It felt like living a movie. We did visit as well a village in the Amazon with locals. We had the best experience possible. Our guide was amazing

    Relaxing but exciting quick adventure!
Segundo was the best guide! He took great care of us, making sure we felt welcomed, safe and comfortable. All of the experiences were amazing and we had downtime as well to relax. We had a limited amount of time and still felt like we got to see and do a lot of cool things!

    Lovely Amazon experience
Rodrigo was a very knowledgeable guide! The food was excellent. I would recommend for outdoorsy families. The accommodations are very basic but the camp is right in the heart of the jungle - very beautiful!

The boat ride to the ecolodge was pleasant and felt safe in spite of the swift current of the world's largest river.
The whole process was easy and explanations/expectations were thorough. Everything went smoothly. The guide was knowledgeable, helpful and incredibly patient with some requests that seemed unreasonable. We were taken care of from beginning to end.

    One of a kind experience
The 3 days went by in a breeze with Rodrigo as our guide who took good care of us & kept us busy with jungle hikes (morning & evening ), fishing . Spotting pink dolphins & different wildlife & vegetation. His knowledge is exceptional. It would be remiss if me to not mention Kocho (hope I spelled right; who showed us roof thatching art & building stable wooden bridges on the spot when it was water logged) and the staff for bringing healthy & delicious food to the table each time. Overall a very surreal experience & absolutely recommended. Note: we felt the communication could be much better but please keep in mind that is handled from Florida and does not have any impact on the actual experience.

Interesting tour. Beautiful sights. Do not do the ayahuasca ceremony with Maniti.
Our time in the forest was pretty enjoyable. The lodge is a wonderful spot to turn your phone off and be in a cool natural landscape. The hikes through the jungle were fascinating - Our guide was very knowledgable about the area, answering questions attentively. However, I feel inclined to mention - I would not recommend opting in to the offered ayahuasca experience. It is, at best, sloppy and, at worst, dangerous. They dismissed the need for a diet, offering sugary foods until mere hours before the ceremony. Told us that our guide would be there to translate since the shaman didn't speak english, but he ended up leaving the room within 20 minutes. They "ended" the ceremony after 2.5 hours, before anyone had vomited, and the shaman left. My journey took a dramatic upwards turn in intensity once I returned to my room. This included the expected vomiting, and an intense experiential journey. Thankfully I was with my partner. Having processed my experiences with a therapist who has an intimate relationship with this medicine, ceremony and region of the world, I can pretty confidently say that Maniti's offering of ayahausca isn't great. Stick with the nature hike aspects, and if you are interested in ayahausca, make sure to seek out a facilitator that you trust and is prioritizing safety from beginning to end. It feels like they used the ceremony as an easy way to make more money - inadequately fielding questions prior, offering minimal mid-journey support, and absolutely 0 aftercare support.

    Rodrigo was great
Rodrigo our guide was absolutely amazing. He took us on a tour of the jungle covering 3 days, which included day hikes, night hikes, fishing, camping, nature viewing and swimming in the Amazon. Everything was organised extremely well and went perfectly. There was plenty of time to chill out and relax as well. Rodrigo’s knowledge of the Amazon was exceptional and I definitely recommend this tour to others.

    A Fascinating Few Days
My husband and I are Septigenarians and we had a fascinating experience at Maniti Eco-lodge. Our guide Edwin was always concious of our safety and comfort as he shared his knowledge of the jungle and the River. The activities varied between river journeys and hiking. My favorites were sunrise with the pink dolphins and a visit with indigenous people. The food was tasty, healthy, and plentiful.
