He is a trustworthy and knowledgeable guide. We really enjoyed learning about the coffee experience with him on Day 2 and making fresh coffee from bean to cup for breakfast. - sethuramanl20230 contributionsAwesome tourMy tour guide Jacob was very knowledgeable. He himself was of Inca heritage was able to explain Inca ruins very well. Their history, architecture etc. Since tour guide could not arrive on time (15 min delay) due to traffic (Cusco traffic is bad) as a courtesy tour company paid for Qorikancha admission. I will recommend this tour.Written May 28, 2024

- lizuli0 contributionsIncredible jungle trek tour with David!Had a wonderful 4-day jungle trek tour with David! He was a excellent guide, who gave me great packing advice ahead of the tour (definitely pack a lighter backpack if you can!), and gave a clear overview of our itinerary for each day. He was so friendly and very knowledgeable and experienced. Each day was filled with adventure, gave a sample of delicious local cuisine, and taught me something new about Peru. It was great to learn about the Incan history, hear an honest and genuine perspective about the challenges Peru faces, and experience the kindness of so many local Peruvians. From biking down mountains in breathtaking scenery to the crazy views on the longest zipline ever to some incredible hikes, it's hard to pick a favorite activity. Learning how the local people make coffee from scratch and making a cup together to have with our breakfast was definitely a highlight! The trek also had the perfect balance of activity and rest for me. This was a very well organized and unique experience. I definitely won't forget my time on this trek and can't wait to go back to bring back my friends to experience it as well!Written August 31, 2023
- Gabestickman0 contributionsSuper Sacred Valley- Amazing Machupicchu tourMy wife and I had wanted to see Machu Picchu for years. Recently, we pulled it off in style. We don’t speak much Spanish, but on this tour of the amazing Sacred Valley of the Incas and Machu Picchu, that didn’t matter at all. We were told at the beginning that all we had to do was to enjoy ourselves, and that we did. You really should not miss the Sacred Valley. The Incan sites at Ollantaytambo and Pisac are fantastic. Although Machu Picchu certainly lived up to all of our expectations about how powerful and how beautiful it is, the Incan site that I would choose to live at if I were an Inca would be Pisac. It is high on a ridge with an incredible view over the sacred river of the Incas, the Urubamba. After Pisac, we had a very nice lunch on our way to Ollantaytambo. For me all of these Incan ruins are energetically active in the sense that, after visiting one of these sites, I seem to have more energy than I had when I walked into the site. There is a song that we discovered which is about going to Machu Picchu look it up on the web! It’s by this great band called the guardians of dawnWritten July 7, 2023
- micheleagle0 contributionsWonderful City Tour of CuscoMy favorite part was walking around the gigantic walls at Sacsayhuaman just above the city of Cusco. Amazing place!! I think that it is a good idea to rest up the day that you arrive in Cusco, so your body can slowly adjust to the 11,000 ft. elevation. Then take this city tour with Travel 1 the following day. We didn’t know what to expect, with the high altitude. We are happy to report that the folks at Travel 1 took real good care of us. Both the part of the tour within the City of Cusco and the part up in the high hills above Cusco were fascinating. We had a private tour, and nobody made us move along at a rapid pace. Our Travel 1 guide seemed to know everything about Cusco. His English was fine, and his personality was super friendly. I hope that we will be able to keep in touch in the future.Written June 21, 2023
- alexhamberger0 contributionsOne-Day Tour to Machu Picchu was OutstandingMy wife and I came to Peru without too many plans with the idea that we’d find what suited us best as the journey progressed. Travel1Tours was an absolutely 5-star addition to our itinerary. We booked the 1-day private tour to Machu Picchu from Cusco, and from the moment we started at 6am to the time we got back around 9pm, every moment was thoughtfully taken care of. The package included everything from private car service to the train, round trip train tickets, bus & entrance tickets to and from the site, and lunch after the hike. Our tour guide Jhon was extremely knowledgeable and even took some great photos of us along the way. Jacob was super easy to work with for reserving and planning, and in addition to all of his behind the scenes work, he met us at our hotel the night before for a private consultation, AND he dropped us off and picked us up from the train station on the day of our trip. Great service, great communication, excellent tour and guide, and highly recommended.Written July 11, 2021
