- saracR7904JF0 contributionsAmazing Colca Canyon Tour – Fun & Informative! Our guide, Rosa, made the Colca Canyon experience unforgettable! Not only was she knowledgeable about the history and landscapes, but he kept the group engaged with jokes and fun challenges along the way. The quiz at the end was a great touch, making sure we left with both memories and knowledge. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a mix of adventure and entertainment! The buffet lunch was an incredible spread of traditional Peruvian dishes, offering a great variety of flavors. Everything was fresh and delicious, making it the perfect way to recharge after the tour. Highly recommend this experience!Written February 8, 2025
- Philomena L0 contributionsAmazing!Gorki was the most amazing guide! It was nice to have a guide who spoke English and was able to be extremely informative. I felt safe with him and he was very prepared for any scenario, and very caring and helpful. I went on other tours that didn’t give me as great of an experience but this one is absolutely top notch. He had great energy and made it a very enjoyable trip!Written January 11, 2025

- andrek9980 contributionsAmazing experience! From the moment we started organising this tour with Gorki to the tour itself with tour guide Rogelio, everything was amazing. We got a private tour for our group, which included breakfast and lunch (all really good), I highly recommend Tarvos Peru ToursWritten September 14, 2024
- cjm5520180 contributions**Literally Put People’s Lives In Danger **. Twice. Please whatever you do, choose another company to see the sightsThis will be a long review but no apologies, people need to be aware and really careful of this company. We got picked up from a guy with no ID, no Uniform and no idea where the van we were travelling in was parked which made us very sceptical from the start. The guide never did an introduction of what the tour was about or who he was / where he came from etc. About 40 mins into the ride to breakfast the driver turned the air con on in the van and everyone got covered in head to toe in thick dust, so much we had to stop roadside and brush off our clothes, eyes, hair etc. The bus then gained an issue with the rear wheel, which sounded to everyone inside like it was going to fall off. Instead of instantly stopping the bus, the driver decided to carry on to the nearest garage, which was pretty scary. The garage could not fix it properly, and we could see from the window the tour guide, the driver and the garage owner bashing the wheel with a hammer and looking confused. An explanation was never given to anyone what was happening by the tour guide, the driver just got back in and we drove off around steep mountain passes, on very badly made local roads, with the wheel making a loud knocking noise constantly. After finishing the climb up the rainbow mountain we all got back in the van and drove away, but we only got a few metres down the road before the wheel sounded like it was falling off. The driver stopped, and together with the tour guide jumped on top of a wheel wrench presumably to tighten some bolts. We set off again only this time really slowly, having to stop every 1-2 mins for the driver to try and tighten the wheel bolts holding the wheel onto the axel. This carried on for approx 30 mins more around treacherous mountain paths barely wide enough to fit a car through. With the driver and the tour guide taking it in turns to jump out and tighten the wheel at the edge of a steep cliff drop. Eventually the passengers had enough and asked the driver to stop which he did. The tour guide then proceeded to jump out the van, flag a car down and drive off leaving us all stranded at the edge of a cliff, in the middle of nowhere in Perú when most could not speak a word of the local language. Naturally we panicked because we didn’t know where the tour guide had gone or if he would return or not ?! After an hour standing there in the hot sun a young girl looked poorly and said she was suffering from altitude sickness or heat stroke. We decided to flag the next car down and best we could beg them to take the poorly girl to the nearest town which they did. Not knowing how long if ever we would get home again we spoke to a local farmer who said he could take the group in his vechile to the next town so we all jumped in and got a ride with him. Still not knowing if our tour guide was ever coming back we were taken to the next town. Eventually our tour guide turned up with a new bus which we all got on, apart from the poorly girl and her friend. The tour guide simply said “what a day” and offered no apology. When I contacted the tour provider and told them what had happened they were completely unaware of our situation, and the fact two young girls, one poorly was unaccounted for. Therefore I challenged the tour guide and said “are they ok ?” To which he said it was “their choice to get into another car so I don’t know, that’s their problem” We naturally missed getting any food, that was planned for after rainbow mountain so we went from approx 6am to 9pm with no food or water provided .. just before we arrived back in Cusco I challenged the tour guide to show me his ID, give me his name and company . The tour guide said he left his ID somewhere, didn’t know the name of his company and said he couldn’t be held responsible for mechanical issues with the van. First he stated that the driver told him it was safe to continue with the tour so he carried on… then when challenged by the group to say that “he was in charge and risked our lives by driving us around the mountains with a broken van” he said that he had contacted his boss, who told it was fine. My best guess looking at the wheel itself is that the garage did not have the correct bolts to fit so they bodged what they could and carried on. Two bolts had sheared off and were missing when the van eventually stopped on the cliff edge, and they remaining four bolts could not be tightened as were not long enough to get a nut to grip, effectively leaving the wheel ready to come off at any moment. As for leaving a young bit with signs of altitude sickness up at 4000 metres and driving off… The tour guide I think wasn’t actually a tour guide and maybe just helping a mate out, cash in hand etc Anyway, please please please do not use this company for any tours in Peru, lives are being put at riskWritten May 12, 2024

- mdS2039ZX0 contributionsGreat half day tour to Maras, Moray and ChincheroVery well organized from pick-up to drop-off. Everything on time. Nora, our guide, was lovely. She spoke in English and Spanish. Lots of explanations which I like. The driver was good/careful/safe. The itinerary was just right. I found the Chinchero demonstration to be educational. I wish they sold the 'natural lipstick' which they showed as I could only fit small mementos in my carrry-on. This is a good tour to take day after arriving in Cusco to help acclimatise outside of one's hotel. This is my 2nd Tour with Tarvos Peru Tour. I find them reliable. Gorki is easy to deal with and responds very fast. Thank you!Written March 13, 2024

- krishnaprasadv20230 contributionsGREAT EXPERIENCE......VALUE FOR MONEYValue for money. magnificent experience. unique landscape. visual treat for your eyes. pickup was on time and FREDDIE KRUGER our guide was simply awesome. he was there with every one of the group throughout the trip. he also helped in getting the horse ride midway through the trek. the breakfast and lunch provided was really great. they have enough medical aid to support in case of emergencies. the vehicle for transportation was in very good condition with comfortable seating. explainations were made both in English and Spanish. they do every bit of work for the money we pay them. if I ever go back to rainbow mountain, I'll go with them. keep up the good work guys.Written October 27, 2023

First we booked the Humantay lake tour and were really pleased with the trip. Everything was well organized, the lunch and breakfast were really good and our tour guide Gorki was the best guide in the whole Peru. He made sure everyone is on track with their own pace. Hence we also booked the Rainbow mountain tour, which was also great (and not so hard as everyone described it. For me personally, the Humantay lake was harder). We saved the best for last and booked Machu Picchu tour. I must say that our guide was well informed and interesting. We came super early and wanted to wait for the sunrise for the best pictures and he had no problems waiting. 5/5
