Itinerary
- Centro Histórico, Cusco, Peruwe go to the hotels to pick up the travellers.
- 1DAY 1 – CUSCO – HUMANATAY LAKE – CUSCO We pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at 4:30am and drive 3 hours to the trailhead of Soraypampa located in the lush valley of the Apurimac River. Here we will enjoy hot breakfast made by our professional chef. We hike along a path called the “Camino Real,” as we gain altitude. After reaching the tiny village, where few amenities exist, we continue for another hour and a half, ascending 1,200 feet in just 2 miles up a steep path. After conquering the last hill, we will gaze down on a turquoise lake below, which is surrounded by steep peaks and an impressive glacier. On the trek you are surrounded by the Salkantay Mountains, one of Peru’s most sacred mountains, towering 20,600 feet with a sheer and snowy face. The equally impressive Humantay Peak, rising 19,412 feet, is also within view. Shamans and other natives will often give blessing when reaching the crystal-clear waters of Humantay Lake. Once we reach the lakeshore, we relax, enjoy a snack, go for a swim (if you are brave!) or give thanks to Pachamama (Mother Earth). When you are ready to hike back down, we will descend to Soraypampa and have a hot lunch while enjoying the breathtaking panoramic views of the snowy peaks. We drive back to Cusco and drop you off at your hotel. A beautiful opportunity to know the Andes of Peru and the beauty of nature. You can also enjoy the majestic view of the most important snow in the region of Cusco.

- saveraw20240 contributionsThank youWe had a Group Trip We were a group of eight older family and friends and did one day in the Sacred Valley, one day in Cusco, and the Five Day Inca Trail Trek with Cusco Native. They were so great way to acclimatize for the trek. Renato - the CEO, guide, and his team are exceptional and worked with us on special requests. We received all the needed attention and enjoyed the tour with him, the porters, the chef, and his online team. The food on the trek exceeded expectations and was only matched by the fantastic experience on the trail. Five days on the trail (one of those in Machu Picchu) gave us time to enjoy sites along the way, and John shared history, archeology, and culture and encouraged us on the challenging route. For you thought of everything. Thank you!Written August 30, 2024
- 426onlines0 contributionsThey are superb! The level of attention and detail they provide is incredible. Mike is a master planner and will be with you every step of the way on our way to tour from start to end . The owner also over sees all activities and ensures that he has his eyes on the quality and execution of the trip leading to an incredible customer experience.Mike our guide for Cusco, the sacred valley, and Machu Picchu is extremely knowledgeable about ancient and contemporary cultures and civilizations, spirituality, and the path less taken. There were so many times where we felt that Mike was not only our guide to Peru but also a friend, mentor, and teacher about what it means to life a beautiful life full of abundance and love. I 10/10 recommend them.Written August 30, 2024
- 696mahrukhj0 contributionsThey are superb!I have never been on a tour before or used a tour company Cusco Native Travel was fantastic and did so well Mike met us the evening before to go over all our itinerary and give us the tickets we needed. He even supported us by advising the best thing to eat for altitude symptoms. The 2 days short indan trail trip to Manchu Picchu was seamless. We were brought to the bus in Cusco, were informed of all we needed to do to get on the train, and then were met in Manchu Picchu by Rumi. The most enthusiastic, informative and interesting guide. His passion for the history and the land is apparently and excitement infectious. There are many, many people and guides we noticed once in Cusco but I recommend them to start of your planning before. They will customize your trips based on your wants and respond quickly to any questions - no matter how silly you have.Written August 29, 2024
