          Unforgettable Sacred Valley Experience
From pick up to drop off this was the most amazing tour! Pam was incredibly fluent in English and Spanish and added such a fun excitement and humor to the trip. She had so much knowledge and made sure to always get us to the best picture places as well as take them! 10/10 recommend booking with this company. An absolute must.

Amazing value for money! Great tour!
This tour was exactly what we were looking for: all booked up, did not have to think about it, but also we were in autonomy the whole time. Except with the private guide at Machu Picchu, which was very clear and needed. The agency follows you through whatzapp at every steps and their instructions are very clear too. Highly recommend !

          Awesome excursion!
Had a great time, pretty intense because we went to a couple of places. We were very lucky with the weather, and saw gorgeous places I am giving it 4 stars because it felt quite rushed at times - maybe wouldn’t be as rushed if the tour started slightly earlier

Best option to see Sacred Valley in a day
Really enjoyed this tour. Other tours of Sacred Valley don’t include all of the sights in this one or require to book with a minimum of two people, so this tour was great for solo travelers. The tour company did a good job of communicating before hand and provided a list of what to bring. If you only have a day to see Sacred Valley, I would highly recommend this. Ketty was our guide and did the tour in both English and Spanish, answering any question from our small group. Very nice buffet lunch included with good views.

          There is room for improvement
We opted for the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu 2 Days by Train tour with Mega Expeditions! Firstly, we want to express gratitude for the assistance Nixon and his team provided during our tour. The tour guides were knowledgeable and endeavored to address our questions throughout the journey. However, from a professional standpoint, we couldn't rate the tour 5 stars due to the following reasons. Initially, we had a Zoom meeting with Mega Expeditions a couple of months before our trip. Our understanding was that we needed to purchase Machu Picchu tickets two months in advance only if we intended to hike Huayna Picchu mountain. Contrary to this, we discovered that tickets had to be bought in advance irrespective of the circuits we wished to explore. While we acknowledge this might have been a misunderstanding on our part, we found it disappointing that their website allowed us to book and pay the deposit without warning us about the possibility of not being able to visit Machu Picchu on our desired date, especially since we booked the tour just one week prior. Other tour companies' websites wouldn't allow us to book and pay for the chosen date and instead advised us that we would have to buy the tickets in person when we arrived in Aguas Calientes. During the tour, we had to take a train to Aguas Calientes. Due to the snafu with the tickets, we had to stay in Aguas Calientes for an extra day. Despite asking them multiple times whether we could take our suitcase with us on the train, they repeatedly assured us that it was okay. However, we only found out the night before we boarded the train that unless our suitcase weighed less than 17lbs/8kg, we wouldn't be able to take it on the train. Before purchasing the tickets to Machu Picchu, we asked whether we could see the Inca Bridge with the guided tour, and we were told that we could if we arrived at Machu Picchu early before the tour began. However, we later discovered that since the tour commenced at 7 am, there was no opportunity to visit the Inca Bridge. Fortunately, including Circuit 2 with the Inca Bridge didn't incur any additional costs. While Nixon and his team were responsive and made efforts to assist us, they seemed to overlook crucial information that significantly impacted our itinerary and expectations. we hope they recognize the importance of conveying these key points correctly to foreign visitors exploring Peru.

          Machu Picchu, Titicaca & Vinacunca
I booked several trips with Mega Expeditions in May 2024. I didn't make it easy for them as I was 'winging it' and booked trips last minute. Pablo helped me with all the arrangements. I booked Lake Titicaca/Machu Picchu and Vinacunca through them. They (Pablo and Nixon) were always available, seemingly at any time of day and were frequently checking on me to make sure I was doing alright and asking if I needed any help during the trips. I also stuck with them since there wasn't any hard selling going on. Overall, a very good experience.

          More than rewarding experience
We did the Inka Trail Alternative with Mega Expeditions and had a great albeit physically challenging time. The highlight of our trip was undoubtedly the hike on the Inka trail itself. The scenery was breathtaking, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. Our guides, Gustavo and Henrry, did a fantastic job, demonstrating deep knowledge and genuine passion for their work. From the booking to the hike itself, we felt very well taken care of by Mega Expeditions thanks to excellent communication and organization. The coordination during the hikes was impeccable, with everyone knowing exactly where they needed to be and what to do. Hats off to the team for their hard work and seamless execution, making our journey truly memorable.

          Bad Experience
We had to cut two tours short and he talked more about vegetables than history. The tour was not worth it, we were too constrained with what the tour guide wanted. We had to visit all of his favorite shops.

          An unforgettable experience
In a single tour we visited several historical places, with interesting explanations. The hikes are demanding but possible for teenagers.

          Avoid when possible
We used Mega Expeditions in order to do the "South Valley Tour“ that include Tipon, Pikillaqta and (normally), Cathedral of Andahualillas. It was the first and the last one with this Tour Operator. We used Machu Picchu Reservations for: - City Tour (Qorikancha, Saqsaywaman, …) - Sacred Valley Full Day Tour (Chinchero, Pisac, Moray, …) - Inca Jungle Trail (4 Days/3Nights) The service was much better in regards of organisations and not trying to trap tourists We also used the "Free Walking Tour Cusco FWTP“ and no issues at all with them neither. It started already weirdly. On the website, it stated to be at 9AM at their office. However, the day before the tour, we received a message at 21:01 that we needed to be at 08:50 AM in front McDonald of the Plaza de Armas (Meeting Point) The day itself, we received a message at 08:21 to ask us to be at 08:40 at the Meeting Point. I sent a screenshot that we received less than 12 hours before that we needed to be there at 08:50 and that we will do our best to be at 08:40. We arrived at 08:43 at the meeting point and there was nobody. Then we saw a girl running to us at 08:50, that only spoked Spanish and asked us to follow her. We ended up at another meeting point where it looked that a lot of people where waiting on us. Once the tour started, we got a good experience at Tipon and Pikillaqta. Once on our way to the last stop, the guide started to explain that we were going to have a good lunch. As my girlfriend speak Spanish, she asked if it was included, as it was not included in the tour on the website. In the car the guide explained that it was going to be 25 SOL, BUT ONLY in Spanish. Then she started to take the command in both English and Spanish. Once it was time to go back at around 2PM (Tour was scheduled between 9AM and 3PM), the car stopped Huaso, at 25 minutes by car of Cusco for the "Lunch". The fact that the Lunch was not in Cusco was not advertised, so tourists that didn’t had the lunch had to wait in the car or returning by taxi The lunch place was in a restaurant located on the highway with nothing to do for those that didn’t went for it. The lunch took 50 minutes. This led up to tourists taking a taxi back to Cusco, as they had no idea how much it would long !!! I have nothing against helping the Peruvian community, but at least make sure that everybody in the tour knows that it will be extra. We stopped at the "Galeria Turistica Tipon" where a someone explained some photos around the discoveries of Machu Picchu. -> There is the "Museo Casa Concha" in Cusco which is probably the best place to learn that … We stopped at a place where we tasted a typical Cusco bread. -> A quick tour at the San Pedro Market and you will get it cheaper. I don’t have any issues stopping at kind of tourist traps for a few minutes as long as: - It doesn’t impact the schedule - The time scheduled at the main attractions is not impacted But for those, I don’t complain, it’s normal that the guides tries to help the overall Peruvian population, we had it with other tours as well. Another thing, we were supposed to visit the "Cathedral of Andahualillas", once I entered in the Cathedral (after paying), I directly saw that IT WAS NOT the "Cathedral of Andahualillas", the reason was that it not accessible for the moment (according to the guide) As for the Cathedral I was the only English speaker that was in it, the guide asked me if I wanted to practise my Spanish or she had to do it again in English after. I‘m speaking English, French and Dutch, I found it disrespectful to ask that question. Last but not least, the guide for each visitor the ticket that includes the 4 baroque churches without asking to visitor if they planned to visit other during their stay. This is like making pay tourist the 130 SOL Boleto Touristico de Cusco, while they only need the one at 40 SOL. The main tours in Cusco are: - Machu Picchu (1 Day or through a multi day trek) - Sacred Valley - City Tour - Rainbow Mountain I found disrespectful to threat tourists that want that spent more days in Cusco by exploring to Tipon and Pikillaqta People responsible for this should be sent to Shamans, like we say in Peru

A superb tour company you can trust
Nixon and his team gone above and beyond to provide excellent service. I booked the ticket at last minute which does not gurranty entry to macchu picchu. But Nixon had a zoom call with me prior to arrival to Peru and adviced me how to maximise the chance to get the ticket. From arranging train and bus tickets to providing an excellent hotel in Aguas Calientes everything went as planned and I got my ticket for the next day's Circuit 1 guided tour. He always kept in contact via WhatsApp and made sure I was ok and everything was going as planned. Everything was so well organised and I highly recommend this agency for your booking to Macchu Picchu or any trip. Muchas gracias

          Machu Picchu!!!
It was a great experience.Nixon made sure to check in constantly with us & we were always informed beforehand of our plans. Also, on the drive back our driver was great especially considering the road conditions & made sure to check in with all of us multiple times .Our experience was so nice that we added two more tours with them - Rainbow mountain & Puño Lake Titicaca both of which were awesome .All the guides took care to make sure everyone in the group were comfortable & having fun even in high altitudes when there were elderly people in the group. 100% would recommend them to anyone looking for affordable tours from Cusco

Choquequirao is trully one of the last hidden gems, with almost no tourists compared to Machu Picchu. Which gives it a more authentic feeling in my eyes. On the way itself you will also have spectactular views. We were also lucky to see an old ceremony.
