      Nice Experience
Nice experience in El Cusco! Entertaining and you will learn about chocolate beans and its transformation into a chocolate you will make.

      Chocolate fun
What. Fun experience!!! We met some great people there and learned so much about the chocolate making process. Our Willy Wonka was funny, full of chocolate knowledge and made this class super fun

      So much fun!
We actually went in March of 2023. I was with my teenage son. We had an amazing time in this class and loved the experience. Kind and supportive staff. Interactive. Would definitely recommend to others.

      Chocolate Lovers Unite!
I love chocolate! So when we found we had an extra day of acclimating before trekking through Peru, I booked the Bean to Bar workshop for my wife and I. Our "Willy Wonka" instructor was fabulous. She was funny, informative, and interacted with our entire group. We completed almost the entire process of making chocolate from picking our our beans, roasting them, peeling, making them into paste, and even more along the way. We had competitions and laughed throughout the tour. In the end, we were provided with our choice of dark or milk chocolate to mold and take home with us. If you have a couple of extra hours in Cusco and you love chocolate, I highly recommend this tour.

Great way to spend an hour or so
My boyfriend and I popped in here, enjoying the free entry, and had lots of free samples of chocolate and liquor. I bought something from the little shop - it is a great place to buy presents for friends and family. We then treated ourselves to a hot chocolate which was amazing. You can also do chocolate making classes here but we decided not to on this occasion.

      Good fun!
This was great fun and a lovely addition to our trip. We didn't make our own chocolate from scratch as it would have taken too many beans but did make a hot chocolate and then a bar from prepared melted chocolate. The guy was engaging and knowledgeable. Would recommend if you have a free few hours.

      Great 2 hour activity!
An amazing 2 hour activity but if booking for next day through TripAdvisor confirm with the location that they still have spots. We reserved around 9 pm for next day and the location could only accommodate the kids as the table for the activity can only fit 12-14 people max. Our kids enjoyed it and learned a lot. Thought they were a bit tired of standing for 2 hours…. The chocolate they made made the whole experience better :).

A good small local museum/shop that provides many interesting insights into chocolate.
This small local museum provides a quick stopover to learn and shop about chocolate. There are chocolate sculptures and information on the history in English/Spanish on the walls. The staff are helpful and allow you to navigate as you wish. There is an array of products and items to purchase. There are many chocolate items you will have never seen or purchased before. A good small local museum/shop that provides many interesting insights into chocolate.

      Great Chocolate and Value
The class was very instructive and informative. Benjamin was amazing and very helpful and we learned a lot. The toppings were great and there was a good selection. The chocolate was sensational.

      Yummy class
We had arrived the day before to Cusco and needed some time to acclimate. Walking around the city and joining the chocolate class was perfect! We learned about the local beans and different qualities of them. We roasted, shelled, pulverized and turned the beans into chocolate! A fun class! Book ahead of time. Our friends did not get in because they waited too long.

      Disappointed
We were looking so forward to this class but ended up being let down. The instructor wasn't very nice. He was very rude to my daughter and several others in the group. We had chocolate left over and he would not allow anyone to use an extra mold to finish out the chocolate. There was very little "hands on" and most of the class was listening to him talk about chocolate. The end result wasn't very tasty and not edible.

A good way to kill time on your last day in Cuzco
Good content and setting. I am sorry I did not have the option to make my personal candies using white chocolate. The dark chocolate oxidized very quickly and was too unappealing to offer to our friends once we returned home.

      Fun, fun, fun!
This was not only educational but fun. Plus we made a bag of the best chocolate ever to take home with us. I’ve never had chocolate this delicious.

Had a great time, started off with the San Pedro market to pick up produce and try fruits, then back to the cooking space to make soup, ceviche, lomo soltado, and pisco sours! Come hungry because there’s gonna be a lot of food. Probably one of the best meals I had in Peru. Yilmar was knowledgeable and friendly, highly recommend this if you’ve got the time!

Yil was an amazing instructor. I was by myself and had some unique dietary concerns. He was able to make suggestions and modify the ingredients to accommodate my needs and we prepared an awesome meal together. He not only instructed me on different cooking techniques I hadn't tried before, but also helped me learn about choosing ingredients, how to present the food and so much history and cultural knowledge about Cuzco and the people there. He also taught me about local foods and how to prepare and eat these. Not to mention, this was FUN!

The setup of the restaurant and cooking space was clean, beautiful, warm and inviting. It was like going over to a friend's house for dinner who happens to be a chef and cultural ambassador.

I highly recommend this class if you are visiting Cuzco. Whether you are looking to learn about the city, culture and food beyond the touristy stuff, or just looking for a fun way to spend an evening, this is the experience for you!

Our family of four all enjoyed this adventure with our great chef, Jil. He took us through the authentic local market (in addition to San Pedro market). What a highlight to our trip - Jil’s fun demeanor, seeing and tasting new foods, having local interaction, preparing delicious food and Pisco Sours, and finishing with chocolate covered fresh strawberries we’d purchased at the market. A must do - and ask for Jil!

This was amazing! Our chef Yil-Mar (Gilmar) net is and we went to San Pedro Market. We tasted amazing fruits (names I cannot remember, but they were excellent) we bought our fresh produce and returned to the kitchen. We chopped and sliced and made pisco sours to toast our culinary skills. We made ceviche that was spicy and delicious with garlic Chinese inspired rice. Our next course included fried Peruvian potatoes, garlic rice and lomo saltado that we made in a wok. We also prepared garlic sauce, ginger sauce and a mint/pepper sauce that was delicious! We were supposed to make a chocolate mousse, but were too full- so we enjoyed some cocoa nibs instead. Plan on a 4 hour activity that you will love from start to finish and come hungry!

I was with a group of friends who decided to take the Bean to Bar class before we started hiking the Inca trail. This was the most fabulous class - very hands on, incredibly engaging and so much fun. Yil was our instructor. He made the learning and making chocolate just a gigantic time of fun. He's hilarious and his English is excellent! This is a MUST DO when you come to Cusco!

We really enjoyed the chocolate making experience. We had an issue with paying for the class - ended up double paying. The staff would not give us a credit but management did eventually provide it to us. Would have this issue to have been resolved sooner but appreciated the effort to get us the credit.

We wanted to do the chocolate making class but the price seemed a bit steep for our whole group, so we just registered our kids, age 10 and 14. The class was 2 hours long and the kids loved it. They were super engaged and thrilled with their creations. They even learned some things.

My daughter and I really enjoyed the class: it’s intriguing, fun and delicious. We are lucky to be the only ones in the class: so we got to take our time and ask questions. We are taking home 6 pieces of large chocolates, plus 3 different kinds of chocolatier drinks we tasted. We also liked the variety of chocolate-related items for sale in the store.
