- 1Vinicunca MountainStop: 10 hours - Admission includedDAY 1: Bus Cusco - Cusiapata - Chirihuani - Fulawasi - Mountain of Seven Colors - Chirihuani - Fula wasi - Cusco The walk or tour Mountain 7 Colors: The adventure begins very early at 04:30 a.m. we will begin the pick up for their different lodgings until 05:00 am, and then we will go to the picturesque Chirihuani town center of Cusipata district (Quispicanchi) south of the city of Cusco, where we will make a stop to provide us with some necessary things to start the tour, such as water or energy drinks, snack, cereals, etc. At the end of this short stop, we will continue our journey where we will observe the multicolored landscapes and crops that mix between the mysterious mountains and snowy mountains, Andean animals such as the llama, alpaca, sheep, vicuñas and the deep valleys. We will arrive at 07:30 am to the picturesque town of Chirihuani, here we will enjoy a delicious Andean breakfast prepared by our Chef. Then we return to our minuibus to go to Fula wasi. Starting point of our trek, we will start our trek for 1 HOUR AND 30 MINUTES, uphill until we reach the foothills of the VALLE ROJO (Vinicunca hill), place of access to this mystical place. We will walk along a path that little by little will change the landscape between mountains of intense colors and small streams of icy water that feed and give life to this valley, as we walk we will observe how the colors of our surroundings will change due to the climate, we will arrive at an altitude of 5200 meters above sea level. Top of the mysterious mountain of 7 colors (Vinicunca). This will be the point where we will have enough time to be able to take photos, videos, etc. At the same time it will be the place where we will enjoy our refreshment while our sight delights with the magic that the mountains enclose behind their veil of clouds and snowy peaks, after such an exquisite experience we will undertake the return walk to Chirihuani, where we will be waiting for our minibus to then go to the town of Fulawasi, where we will have a delicious buffet lunch prepared by our cook, later we will return to Cusco arriving at around 5:00 p.m., thus we finish the walk to the mountain of 7 colors.Read more

Did this full day tour with John and we are very happy the way it was conducted and organised. The tour guide was very helpful and genuinely passionate in sharing his knowledge with us, he also spoke excellent English. The transfer from Cusco was somewhat long but totally worth the drive. The local community there were welcoming and helpful. The tour included both breakfast and lunch which was very nice as we had nothing to worry about and simply enjoy the trip.

Very pleasant hike and views of the Ausangate mountain. We had a close contact with the people living in the remote areas who were very much welcoming and accommodating as well. The tour company along with John our guide was very considerate and helpful. This was one of the best experiences we had and can totally reccommend them.

Enjoyed every single moment of our trek to Rainbow Mountain, the views are impeccable and there were so many photography opportunity. If you are into phtography i highly reccommend this trek. It was quite an interesting and easy day trek out of Cusco. The tour company was very nice and well organised and the guide was truly professional.

We used Luan Travel Peru to organize our expeditions to Machu Picchu, hike up the Wayna Picchu, Rainbow mountain, Sacred Valley and the Amazon rain forest. They arranged the transportation, guides during the visit and accommodations at Monte Amazonico Lodge.
Even before our trip Jesus, owner of the travel agency, had a conference call with us and guided us on the itinerary and recommendations on the hotels to stay in Cusco, Lima and Machu Picchu. His local knowledge proved useful as his recommended hotels were great, comfortable, great location and affordable. They also arranged the Peru rail tickets and entry tickets for Machu Picchu and Wayna Picchu which are in great demand and limited.
The entire trip went flawlessly and his guides and drivers were punctual, extremely courteous and very knowledgeable. They were very enthusiastic and proud of what they do. Jesus accompanied us during the hike up the Rainbow Mountain. The altitude makes that hike challenging and Jesus stayed with the group constantly encouraging us and making sure it was fun. The road to Rainbow Mountain from Cusco is unpacked and winding over a large stretch and his driver drove in a safe manner and we were able to enjoy the great vistas without feeling unsafe. We saw so many other vehicles driving recklessly but he was patient and put safety first.
The guides stopped by the previous evening to greet and explain the agenda for the next day. Frank was our guide at Machu Picchu and hiked up Wayna Picchu with us making sure at all times we were safe and staying with whoever was at the back. Hiking up the morning early morning is key as the sun gets real hot and strong later in the afternoon. He had extensive knowledge of Inca history, architecture and engineering
Jason was our guide for Sacred Valley and he is very knowledgeable about Inca history, architecture and archeology. He pointed out the various architectural details and Inca engineering.
Juan Jose was our guide during the two days in Amazonia and his enthusiasm was infectious when tracking monkeys on the monkey island. He rowed the kayak on the river pointing out the monkeys, birds and other wild animals during the cruise on Lake Sandoval. He would row back and forth to ensure we got a clear view and take good pictures.
Words of praise for the hard working staff at the Lodge Amazonia.

I recently got back from a full day Rainbow Mountain Trip with Luan Travel and it was nothing short of exceptional! From the awe inspiring views to the impeccabaly planned itinerary, every aspect of the trek was handled with utmost professionalism and warmth. But what truly distinguished this journey was our remarkable tour guide, Jhon.
Jhon was the embodiment of knowledge, passion and courtesy. His deep understanding of the local flora and fauna, along with the fascinating geological history of the Rainbow Mountain, brought our trek to life. His storytelling prowess had us hooked to the mystical tales of the Andes, and we eagerly absorbed everything he shared. Jhon´s dedication to ensuring that our group had a memorable experience was clear from his attentiveness to each member´s needs and pace.
The tour was incredibly well organized, with punctual pickup and drop off services, a hearty breakfast, and a sumptous lunch that offered a taste of the autghentic Peruvian cuisine. All the necessary safety and mesures and precautions were in place, providing us with a comfortable and worry free journey.
What i admired about Luan Travel was the respect and attention they showed for the local communities. The team works closely with the natives, contributing to their economy and making us feelwelcomed and cherished.
The Rainbow Mountain was itself a sight to behold! The dazzling panorama of vivid stripes across the mountain is genuinelya marvel of nature, presenting a spectacle that is simply indescribable. The trek was moderately challenging, but Jhon´s motivational words and helpful advise made the journey achievable and exciting.
Our photo opportunities were endless with Alpacas grazing along our path, stunning landcapes stretching as far as eye could see, and of course, the crowning glory the Rainbow Mountain in itself. With Jhon´s photography skills and knowledge of the perfect angles and spots, we came back with a treasure trove memoriescaptured in our cameras.
I cannot recommend Luan Travel Peru highly enough. Their dedication to delivering a quality experiecne, coupled with the charismatic and informative Jhon, made this trip a memorable chapter in our travel diaries. i am still under the spell of the magnifiecient rainbow Mountain, a natural wonder that we had the privilige to experience with Luan travel. I can confidently say that our exceptional guide, John, played a pivotal role in making this trip an adventure of a lifetime.
From the onset, dealing with Luan travel was a breeze. Their team was professional, prompt in their responses, and provided detailed information to ensure we were well- prepared for our journey. The booking process was seamless, and they efficiently handled any concerns we had.
The day of excursion was perfectly organises. John our guide, met us bright and early, equipped qith a palpable enthusiasm that quickly spread throughout the group. His deep knowledge of the region, its history and its geology enhanced our understanding and appreciation of Rainbow Mountain.

Our journey through the iconic Rainbow Mountain ws a magical experience that left us in awe of the natural beauty of Peru. The sight of the mountain, with its vibrant, colouful stripes, was even more stunning that the pictures. The trek, while challenging, was incredibly rewarding, offering breathtaking views of the snow-capped Andes, undulating landscapes, and vivid blue slies.
What made our trip truly exceptional wa our guide, who not only ensured our safety and comfort but also brought the landscape to life with fascinating insoghts about the geology, wildlife and local comunnities. We also appreciated the early start, which allowed us to neat the crowds and have more serene and personal experience. The lunch provided was delicious, adding to the overall enjoyment of the day.
