I just returned home after hiking the 43 km on the Inca Trail and it was truly an amazing experience. I want to thank you to all the staff of Adventure Peru Path for making a great trekking experience. They were an amazing company to hike with.

          Great Tour Company
I have decided to use Adventure Peru Path for my Inca Trail trek over many other companies due their philosophy and because they are a local tour operator focusing on giving back to their communities and I would use them again if I was back in Peru!

A true adventure and wonderful experience!
My partner and I did the combo trek: Salkantay and Inka Trail, which was the best choice we could have made. Adventure Peru Path is unique in offering this option and it provides the best of both worlds: a rough mountain trek and experiencing the great Inka trail. Our guid Manuel Paco Paco was also very good, he did a lot of effort to accommodate us and was knowledgeable about the history and culture. Food during the trek was extremely good as well. All in all, really positive experience and warmly recommended.

          Best Trip Ever!
We did the short Inca Trail to Machu Picchu (with Huayna Picchu added on), and it was AMAZING. There were five of us—four adults and a teenager—and no one had any complaints. Our guide, Edgar, met us at our hotel the night before our departure to introduce himself and go over the basics of the trip, and from the time the van picked us up in the morning until the time we started up Huayna Picchu, he was with us every step of the way. We really didn’t have to think about any of the details. We were free to take it all in and enjoy. Even though we were only on the Inca Trail for a day (about 8 miles), we really got a feel for the environment and the history. Edgar was so knowledgeable and has such a passion for the Inca Trail and Machu Picchu, and that really added to the experience. He was also patient with our varied hiking abilities. (One of us had a weak knee and was struggling a little.) We had dinner at Indio Feliz. It was part of the package, and I don’t think we had high expectations, but it was honestly one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time! Our hotel in Aguas Caliente was very nice, and Edgar made sure we got a packed lunch, since we were up and out before breakfast started. I would absolutely recommend Adventure Peru Path. Be sure to bring plenty of extra cash for a tip. We were running low and felt bad about short-changing Edgar, but they let me add to the tip via PayPal when I returned home.

          Amazing experience! Salkantay trek
Me and my girlfriend did the Salkantay trek (5D/4N) and it was simply the most beautiful trek we have ever done. The trek goes through a variety of different (micro)climates, from mountains and glaciers to high jungle and tropics. The different types of flora, fauna and landscapes are amazing and will never leave you bored during the trek. There are no negative things to say about the organisation of Peru Path, the guide and the rest of the team. They usually have small groups and when we did the trek we were the only ones, so we basically had our own private tour! Our guide, David, is a very nice guy who knows a lot of stuff about the surroundings but also about Peru and its history. He was very patient when we were a bit slow and took his time to answer all our questions. We had some really good and interesting conversations on the way. Every lunch and dinner I was impressed by the cooks, Pancho and Harmando. They can really make a delicious meal with the limited resources they have. One other huge advantage in my opinion is that the itinirary of Peru Path differs from the other trek agencies and therefore we were always ahead of all the other groups. This way we had the feeling we were all alone on the path, which was incredible! Beforehand, we were a little bit anxious about the trek because of cheaper alternatives but now I wouldn't have done it any other way. Not only was everything included in our trek, also the considerate way they treat their clients, employees and their animals is just wonderful in my opinion. Would highly recommend this one!

          Trip of a lifetime
A group of 5 of us selected the Classic Inka Trail hike and sought out Adventure Peru Path as a friend had recommended them. So glad we chose this tour group. First of all they are a locally owned company so the money you spend stays in Peru to benefit the locals. Secondly, their groups are usually much smaller and more private than the others. We had our guide to ourselves and it was great. Others groups had up to 20 people. The highlight was our team. Our porters worked their butts off to provide us with everything we needed. The food was unbelievable. Very fresh fruits and vegetables, delicious soups and even a fresh cake at the end. They were very friendly and accommodating. Best of all was our tour guide Hipoloto (Pauli to us). He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the Inka people, the ruins, the trail and geography of the area. He was also very personable and a lot of fun. We had lots of laughs along the way and felt we had made a good friend by the time we parted ways. We all agreed we would highly recommended this tour group and especially Pauli. All interactions with the APP team from booking, our drivers, etc. were first class. It truly was a trip of a lifetime.

          Fantastic locally owned tour company
This is a locally owned tour company. Freddy Lonconi was an amazing tour guide who provided us with a rich and fulfilling history of the Inca trail and Machu Picchu. This was one of the most memorable trips I have taken and it is largely thanks to the awesome experience that Freddy and Adventure Peru Path provided. You will not be disappointed. I wish these guys all the success they deserve.

INCA TRAIL TREKKING 4 DAYS AND 3 NIGHTS
I hiked the 4 days, 3 nights Inca Trail with Peru Path and I had a great time during the hike to Machu Picchu. They are a small company but they are one of the few local companies in the area. Highly recommended!

BEST 4 DAY INCA TRAIL TREK EXPERIENCE WITH A LOCAL TOUR OPERATOR
My husband and I completed the 4 days, 3 nights Classic Inca Trail on the second week of November and we had a fabulous 4 day trek with APP. We have booked for a group tour, but we ended up being the only two people in the group. We had Cristian (as our phenomenal tour guide), Carlos (our master chef), Mario, Francisco, Patricio, Edimir, Wilbert and Leo as our superheroes and friendly porters. All of them went beyond their way to make this a memorable experience from start to finish. Peru Path is also a local company and they donate a percentage from every selling they do for supporting school projects in the country. So, your money stays in the country to support the local communities they work with. I would recommend Peru Path without any hesitation to anyone planning to hike the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu!

          Ancascocha Trek via Salkantay
Our trip could not have been better. It was challenging to say the least, but by far the best family trip we have ever taken. I did most of the research myself and am so grateful to have met Roxner who was such an incredible resource in making sure that all of the other details were taken care of. He is a rock star for sure. The staff which included our guide, Hipolito, Pancho and Mario our fabulous chefs and Cusme and Julian the incredible horsemen, could not have been better. Hipolito was wealth of information from the historic sites we visited to his knowledge of local flora and fauna and his famous snake oil which not only kept the spirits away but gave me ( no one else would try it) that extra bit of energy to make it over the Inca Chiriasca pass (at 16,000 ft) In closing we highly recommend Adventure Peru Treks for any all adventures they offer.

          Trip with Adventure Peru Path
I was unfortunate enough to become sick in Cusco and could hardly climb 3 steps without getting out of breath, so I was sad and disappointed that I could not go on the trek that my husband and I booked with Adventure Peru Path. We had booked the 4 day trek and I was so looking forward to it! I must say that I was impressed with the emails we exchanged during the preparation for the trip. The information was clear and precise, all our questions and doubts answered and it flowed wonderfully. I was particularly relieved and happy with all the details in the "packing list". Very, very useful! As I said, I was sick and had to give up the trek, so I stayed back in Cusco, feeling miserable. As I felt a little bit better the next day, I thought about the possibility of joining my husband in Machu Pichu on the day of his arrival. I asked for info at the hotel and ended up with a paper full of notes on how to get there and feeling somewhat confused and insecure. I tried to book the train ticket but the site wasn't working properly, so I wrote to Adventure Peru Path and immediately got a reply from Roxner, though it was January 1st. It was such a relief! Roxner offered to help with the bookings and in the next morning he came to the hotel to meet me. He clearly explained the possibilities (Bus or taxi and train) and once I decided on what I wanted, he made some phone calls and a taxi was booked and the train tickets were taken care of. And what a relief it was that I didn't need to queue up for the tickets or find a taxi driver. That same evening he dropped off the tickets at the hotel, carefully going through all the details and timings. I paid for the taxi and train ticket and there was no extra charge for the services rendered. It was fantastic! All flowed perfectly! The taxi was on schedule, the driving calm and safe. I got to the train station with perfect timing and I DID GO to Machu Pichu in the end. I will be forever grateful for the professional, understanding and friendly care that I received. I definitely recomment Adventure Peru Path to whoever is planning to go on a trek. Thank you Adventure Peru Path for all your support and for making this experience a positive and memorable one!

          Great overnight to Rainbow Mountain
A great trip, I would highly recommend using this company to anyone looking for a little help while trekking in Peru. Also, for anyone who is a bit weary of completing the Rainbow Mountain hike in one day, this was an awesome way to acclimate to the elevation. The one thing I did dislike was how at the end of our trip, the guide had all of the staff presented for us to tip them. Although I was more than happy to tip out all of the staff and was planning on doing so, the way they made this ceremony was a bit awkward and uncomfortable.
